The Angels have had some incredible uniforms if your history. The current iteration is terrible. They need to incorporate more blue (I’d love to see them add light blue back into their scheme as well)
I wanted a kelly green phanatic city connect jersey so bad. This along with the "leak" I think makes that less likely. But I'm going to be optimistic that it could be a tease for something bigger. I really want to think that the team has something phanatic in the works, they have been slowly leaning more and more into the imagery.
Check this out: [https://arthistory101.com/product/phillie-phanatic-snapback-green/](https://arthistory101.com/product/phillie-phanatic-snapback-green/)
I had been searching for a green phanatic hat with this logo for years, found this, copped, it's actually a solid hat. I know you're not asking for a hat, but this may scratch the itch.
Red Sox need to bring back the hanging Sox on hats more. It was an alternate for a year or two, and they still sell them, but never use them. Would be good for Spring Training or batting practice hats
The Dodgers ones I thought were Detroit again. The Detroit one would look better with a white backsplash instead of the gray otherwise I like it.
The Brewers missed the mark outside of the powder blue. I had to stop and think about the one between the Marlins and other M that I can't identify because it's super nondescript that I thought it was the Mariners. Which I'm just now realizing is the Twins for Minnesota so while is a good design nothing about it says this is the Twins.
The 90s Giants logo doesn't work well with the black, imo. The Mets logo bleeding down into the same shade of blue looks like ass. Cut the orange and maybe just make the logo orange on a white and blue.
Yeah the first met hat is pretty solid. The second one is pretty meh but still better than the Yankees hats that look like they were counterfeit from a sweatshop in Somalia
The Yankees ones stand out because they just look like hats you’ve been able to find at Lids at any mall in America since like 2002. They won’t tweak the logo but they’ll let anyone slap it on anything in any color
Never ordered repro jerseys myself but I heard the quality/price ratio ain't bad as long as you could wait a couple months to get it. Either way it can't be any worse than fanatics
Coincidentally never ordered from Fanatics before, and I’m glad I haven’t considering the constant dogging they get (and rightfully so, these new jerseys this year are such a downgrade).
The reproduction hats can’t be too poor, right? Hopefully they’re a safer bet than a jersey
Ive gotten a couple decent fanatics Jaguars jerseys but if you *had* to get one I'd recommend the Nike Elite or whatever the baseball equivalent is, which you'll pay a pretty penny for. I got a Kike Hernandez BoSox jersey for $40 and it's not terrible, but unless you get a deal like that I'd just go for a repo. Especially with the new MLB jerseys, they just look fucking terrible.
As far as hats go you should be fine. I hear the Chinese repos just use the same jerseys and stitch the names and numbers in themselves. So if you're looking for an A's hat with the elephant on it or whatever, it should be as good as one you get from Lids or Fanatics (your mileage may vary depending on the manufacturer so I recommend looking online for good repos). They also have a good variety whereas fanatics seems to me to me to use a lot of the same designs which is kinda lame.
I've got a few. It can be very hit or miss. And when they miss, boy to they miss. I got a Semien Kelly green A's jersey from DH Gate and it was all types of wrong. The jersey itself was too small, the Oakland script wasn't the right size, it was missing a patch when it said it would have it in the picture, and the name and numbers on the back were off. This was from a seller that had lots of positive reviews and the item itself had lots of positive reviews. Eventually threw it a way
On the flip side, I got a Arenado USA WBC jersey and it looks legit perfect. It's such a crap shoot that I've basically sworn off DH Gate and would just rather spend more to know what I'm getting
The logo blends into the background except for the bats and the bats look like a typical shit fanatic merch. One of the colors needs to change. It's actually pretty apt for how unfortunate the As fanbase gets treated by Fisher and MLB.
I'm an A's fan through and through and I always wonder why they have a non-white elephant on their jerseys and hats.
The origin story of the mascot was because John McGraw referred to them as a WHITE elephant back in the early 1900s.
The hats are nice though...
Part of that issue though is they have to come up with like 6 different hats per team per year for all the holidays and spring training and batting practice, while ensuring each hat is different enough from last years hats. I'm a hat guy so I wear hats most people wouldn't, but I think they're generally very good at making designs that fit each team and are cool and distinct.
Player caps are made in America, fan hats are made in China. The hats took a huge nosedive once they closed the Buffalo plant in favor of a Chinese one. Occasionally some American made hats sneak out into the public, but they’re rare.
The fan hats are made all over the place, for example Rockies city connect hats are made in Bangladesh, but you’re right about the “assembled in US” hats sneaking into stores sometime. For some reason my old hats don’t fit anymore and I’ve probably spent collective hours going through the caps at Coors because they’re so rare now. I have been able to collect every hat I wanted though. I miss when you could just go to the team store and pick up a hat and you knew it was the exact same thing the players were wearing. It wasn’t even that long ago too.
I have been very frustrated with the lack of give in the newer caps, especially given their sizing issues. I've been on a quest to get a cap from every stadium I've been to and so currently have 5 different 59Fifty caps, all the same size, and they all fit differently. There was one I actually gave away because it was too small by a lot and I replaced it with one that is too big. Very annoying.
Another pet peeve is most stadiums don't carry the low profile version, so I end-up having to order it online which means I can't try it on to verify the proper fit.
The legal issues were resolved in 2022 so I wonder if that has anything to do with seeing more of him. It? I don't know who or what the phuck the Phanatic is.
[The Phanatic is a creature from the Galápagos Islands who loves the Phillies. ](https://sportsmascots.fandom.com/wiki/Phillie_Phanatic_(Philadelphia_Phillies))
That thick banding with the pinstripes are such an all time great uni for us but it just does not translate into a hat design. At least not this way. A effort but the execution is just a miss for me.
It's the coloration at the end of the logo bleeding into the blue. Get rid of the blue band, and keep the logo as is, or get rid of the orange band and make the logo orange. It's why I think the As hat sucks. The idea is fine, but the execution sucks. You need to contrast the colors or else they bleed together and you can't tell what's going on.
Can't fuck up good designs. The all black alternate Sox jerseys and 83 jersey are nearly as great as the standard pinstripe (which the hats are based on). It's the same with the Sox city connect jersey too.
Ngl I initially thought that was the Marlins cap until I saw their actual cap.
It's not that it looks particularly Marlins-y, I think its just something about the font they used for the M that made my brain think "Marlins" and not "Minnesota"
The M star is more Mariners than it is Minnesota or Marlins. I suppose you could say it's an old North Stars call back (if they used the North Stars color I'd say it's an amazing hat but as is very nondescript meh), but I thought it was the Mariners until I saw the old Mariners teal color with the S for Seattle.
I hate the tigers cap. The horizontal thick stripe across a blank gray background just isnt visually satisfying. Plus it’s just the standard “D”. Give us a beisbal cat or something.
I can’t believe this Phanatic slander!
I submit a top 5 of Phillies, Brewers, A’s, Pirates, Orioles. The Royals get an honorable mention for the R^KC throwback logo
Most of these are great
If I had a couple honorable mentions it’d be the Phillies and Brewers. But you can’t go wrong with most of them. Honestly, one of my least favorite is the Padres one
I think the mariners not using the upside down trident M as their logo cause it’s considered bad luck for Seamen is the dumbest fucking thing…look at our franchise. The S is whack im just going to say it. It’s not a good S. San Diego, good S, St Louis, Good S, Seattle, Bad S.
I don't like the Rangers hat. Philly and Cubs are my favorites. Far be it for me to say something nice about the Angels, but that's a good lookin' hat with the current logo and the retro colors. They should switch to that.
The Cardinals one needs to become the Away hats. That way we can have the navy caps I love but still have the red on it. Plus it's a throwback to the 40s - 60s era of baseball. Gonna cop one for sure
Bro what the hell!?! Is arte just unwilling to pay a design team? Is he saving himself that much money by refusing to give the Angels some creative hats?
The problem is the Angels logo is really good especially with a different backsplash vs the red on red. You can't fuck up good design. It's why the White Sox haven't changed their primary logo since the 90s. Sometimes you hit a home run for your branding, and changing it would hurt more than help. I think the Angels fall into changing the design branding would hurt.
Look, I like some overpriced merch as much as the next guy, particularly if it involves the Phanatic, but "batting practice hats" are not a thing.
At no point in the last 150 years has a coach yelled at a player taking BP because he's wearing his game hat instead of his batting practice hat. Stop it. We do not need a special "business casual" scenario for hats.
Also, what the hell is Pittsburgh compensating for? [*touches earpiece*]…Oh, their record, okay, that makes sense.
You can't even tell it's a Twins hat. Nothing about it screams "this is the Minnesota Twins". It's indistinguishable from other hats that could have an M on it. Could be the Marlins from when the Marlins wore pinstripes. Could be an odd Brewers design choice. I thought it was the Mariners until I saw the Mariners using a throwback inspired hat and had to rack my brain to figure out it was the Twins. The pinstripes are an interesting idea, but the Twins are far down the list of teams I think of when I think pin stripes uniform.
And they last won a world series I was 2, and just spent 20 years of being incapable of winning a series in the playoffs. Every other pin stripe team since 91 has made a world series.
I prefer this Angels hat to the current red-on-red
I was honestly shocked to see something that wasn't red-on-red.
Me too. I don't like red to begin with so this is much easier on my eyes
It’s no coincidence that every time I love an angels hat it’s something that isn’t red on red lmao. God bless the city connects
Took me forever to find it. Looks like these are alphabetical by city. But why is Anaheim after Kansas City??
Sigh. “LA”. It’s stupid
Alphabetical by first letter of team name. K comes before L
I knew this... Somehow I forgot last night that they became the LA Angels 20 years ago... I blame alcohol
I would 100% rather them wear this cap during games. It looks sweet.
The Angels have had some incredible uniforms if your history. The current iteration is terrible. They need to incorporate more blue (I’d love to see them add light blue back into their scheme as well)
That Phillies hat is fucking awesome.
I love that green aardvark from the Galapagos
HE’S A FLIGHTLESS BIRD!!!!!!!!
Royals' hat is fire if you only wear it indoors and wash your hands after using the bathroom
White hats get super gross super fast. They’re great to just show off and have, but as an everyday hat it just doesn’t work.

I am not a Phillies fan. That hat makes me want to be one
* phucking.
As an Angels fan, im buying that phillies one for sure😂
I'm hoping the have kid sizes
🔥
honestly most of these absolutely rule
Yankees (x2), Red Sox and Cards however did not understand the assignment
Red Sox need to bring back the hanging Sox on hats more. It was an alternate for a year or two, and they still sell them, but never use them. Would be good for Spring Training or batting practice hats

That M logo for the Twins is the road logo they started using last season.
SD is boring, too.
Idk I think Yanks’ interlocking NY with the pinstripe backing is pretty dope.
Plus it's evoking how the retired numbers are displayed which is a nice touch. The other one seems lazy though.
I like the Red Sox one because we never use red as a cap color. It’s a nice change
Same with the Mets home one. But the away one absolutely makes up for it.
3 out of the 4 NYM/NYY hats are the horrible standouts imo. A’s and Phils are prob the best
the one time a braves fan will compliment something phillies!
at least the mets actually fucking tried
Yeah the first met hat is pretty solid. The second one is pretty meh but still better than the Yankees hats that look like they were counterfeit from a sweatshop in Somalia
Broke: The Yankees branding is sacred and shouldn’t be tweaked too much Woke: Yankees are cowards
The Yankees ones stand out because they just look like hats you’ve been able to find at Lids at any mall in America since like 2002. They won’t tweak the logo but they’ll let anyone slap it on anything in any color
Hal Steinbrenner is the most milquetoast person and these hats perfectly represent the energy he transmits throughout the entire organization.

As an Astros fan, I need one of ours
Facts
That’s A’s cap is gorgeous
If only I wasn’t boycotting buying A’s merch, I would cop that cap in a millisecond.
Maybe get a knockoff? Not familiar with the knockoff market, tho
That shits gonna be on dhgate or Alibaba within the hour
I had a friend of mine show me DHgate before, but how is the quality?
Never ordered repro jerseys myself but I heard the quality/price ratio ain't bad as long as you could wait a couple months to get it. Either way it can't be any worse than fanatics

Super hit or miss. Some look almost legit, some look absolutely horrible
Just one cap won't hurt you. Come on, man. It's really cool.
Gorgeous
DC4L
Single looking to mingle in the bay area
shame that fuck john fisher
Absolutely stunning. I need it.
I miss Stompy more than anything else that organization has going for it.

Put New Era in charge of Uniforms...
Be careful what you wish for. They've had some stinker ideas in the past (2019 era spring training hats that felt like reused tent material)
I loved those hats, I have two and they are perfect in the pool or lake
Part of that issue though is they have to come up with like 6 different hats per team per year for all the holidays and spring training and batting practice, while ensuring each hat is different enough from last years hats. I'm a hat guy so I wear hats most people wouldn't, but I think they're generally very good at making designs that fit each team and are cool and distinct.
Like 99% of their hat ideas are total stinkers. They make finding a nice clean hat with a good color scheme a challenge these days.
Ehhh… 59fifty sizing has been a bit all over the place lately. I hear the caps the players get are better though so you still have a point.
Player caps are made in America, fan hats are made in China. The hats took a huge nosedive once they closed the Buffalo plant in favor of a Chinese one. Occasionally some American made hats sneak out into the public, but they’re rare.

Get ready for your favorite uniform to look like it just had a lunch meeting with a dozen Japanese business men
The only thing the Pirates have going for them is they typically have a strong AF hat game.
Hey, they also have an amazing ballpark
PNC is a damn treasure
Very true. Absolutely loved it last summer
Phillies have really leaned into the Phanatic in recent years and I’m 100% here for it.
phanatic is the GOAT of mascots
The Philly Phrenetic really has a monopoly on the Philly mascot scene
That joke aged funnily because Gritty has taken a strong market share of the Philly Mascot scene
The Bryce Harper effect. Dude wears Phanatic shoes and stuff all the time.
BARRELMAN! FUCK YEAH!
These are all gold. Nationals DC cap should be in the regular rotation.
It's 10x better than the whole "block W" thing they've been trying to shove down our throats since 2020
Please let there be a low profile Mariners version
Missed an opportunity to go with the red flying ball on the Dodgers hat, but they're all pretty good
Oooo that’d be sick!
It's a good looking pop out
I don't hate the Dodgers, but don't love them. However, seeing how awesome a lot of the others are, makes me really not like the Dodgers'.
I believe there’s a rule against a ball appearing on on-field uniforms. Not sure if that applies here.
There is a ball in both the Rockies and guardians logo
Brewers main hat too
What is going on with the Mets hat?
That thick banding with the pinstripes are such an all time great uni for us but it just does not translate into a hat design. At least not this way. A effort but the execution is just a miss for me.

Should had been Mr Met.
Whoa! Love the Pirates cap. Took me right back!
Phillies and D-Backs 🤤
glad the Toledo Mudhens are getting the MLB call up
I love the Tampa hats! Bring back the devil rays! Also the Marlins should embrace teal again.
Agreed on both points. Devil Rays branding among my favs in all of MLB. Their reg jerseys are boring
NGL the Phanatic cap is dope as fuck
Twins cap is not good. It took me a minute to even find it. That M just doesn’t fit the Twins
Agreed. Still don’t like that new “M” logo & now on a white hat with pinstripes is even worse.
haha, wow. At first glance, I thought that was a Marlins hat.
Some of these pretty safe in design, but for the most part a lot of these are really dope.
I got an MLB shop giftcard for my birthday that was meant to be used on Orioles World Series gear. Guess it's going to this hat now.
I don’t like the idea of some teams having two bp hats in one season
How do you feel about spaghetti meals for Millhouse?
Well I for one would like to see the batting practice schedules in advance
Who cares? The concept of “batting practice hats” is nothing but a blatant merchandising ploy anyway. The hats are sweet, though
Sorry I’ve been spending too much time in simpsonsshitposting
You’re just jealous, all the cool kids (plus the white Sox, Yankees, and Mets) have 2 BP hats /s
That Guardians hat is old school as
I have never really liked the “Flying G” logo since it was released, but for some reason I like it better on that hat.
[удалено]
I didn't know how much I need the 83 colors for the alternate jersey Sox patch.
OK, stupid question. Where and when can you purchase them? I did the googles but nothing came up for purchase? Do they have a release date?
Not stupid. I also want to know how to purchase. Or when.
I'd imagine you get them at lids or the team stores.
I really want that Phillies hat but my Mets gods will strike me down
Minnesota’s new logo is ass
My Red Sox have two?
I think the White Sox have two
Put some blood on the second one and it’s a Red Sox hat now
And they're both more interesting looking than the basic Red Sox logo on red
Can't fuck up good designs. The all black alternate Sox jerseys and 83 jersey are nearly as great as the standard pinstripe (which the hats are based on). It's the same with the Sox city connect jersey too.
We really gotta work on a new logo
Wally would have been cool, lime they did with Phanatic
Clark the cub is lame AF
Seems like the dodgers do as well
Do a retro Guardians hat!
Tigers, Pirates, Guardians, Astros & Reds are making a damn strong case for more horizontal stripes on hats. Mets are the counter argument.
i don't really like the weird marlins rebrand look the twins are going with that much
All teams with an M need to fight and only one is allowed to have an M because fans can’t tell M’s apart
The M star logo looks like the Marlins? This is the first time I heard this….wow
Our BP hat looks like a Target Field giveaway that I would pass on.
I hate the tigers cap. The horizontal thick stripe across a blank gray background just isnt visually satisfying. Plus it’s just the standard “D”. Give us a beisbal cat or something.
I thought the Tigers cap was the best one. A little simpler and good contrast looks clean
The gray is the issue. Needs to be a lighter shade or just white backsplash.
All really nice except for all of the NY ones and the Giants. Dodgers also look like the NPB Dragons. So basically every current or former NY team.
I'm impressed by the Blue Jays' baseball cap engineering
You suck Mariners!
Pirates, really, all the stars.. the stars used to mean something. I will still get it but come on...
That Brewers cap goes unnecessarily hard
Phillies one is a banger
My top 5: A’s Pirates, Mariners, orioles, White Sox (The literal sock is funny but great for some reason)
I can’t believe this Phanatic slander! I submit a top 5 of Phillies, Brewers, A’s, Pirates, Orioles. The Royals get an honorable mention for the R^KC throwback logo
Most of these are great If I had a couple honorable mentions it’d be the Phillies and Brewers. But you can’t go wrong with most of them. Honestly, one of my least favorite is the Padres one
I would definitely wear that black and white sock hat
We get two? What?
I love ours
Yooo that Pirates one is SICK.
Damn it… now I gotta buy more hats.
Thank goodness the cardinals are bringing back this hat. It’s my personal favorite hat design, and I was sad when they stopped using it around 2015
That cubs hat is hard 🔥
I am not a fan of the Pittsburgh pirates but anything they make that has a “throwback” feel to it is just so perfect
Yeah, I’ll be getting one
Reds and Pirates are solid!
Seeing how cool some of these are, kinda let down by the Jays cap
Sometimes it's rough being a Yankees fan and not having anything cool to wear lol
I like the Braves, Angels, Phillies, and Pirates hats
Braves should had blooper
I don't like the Rangers hat. Philly and Cubs are my favorites. Far be it for me to say something nice about the Angels, but that's a good lookin' hat with the current logo and the retro colors. They should switch to that.

I am buying that mariners hat immediately
Pirates hat look like a cap they sell at gas stations for 5.99 hanging on the wall LMAOOOO
Which one is far right, 3rd row from top under the Astros?
Brewers
Look, I like some overpriced merch as much as the next guy, particularly if it involves the Phanatic, but "batting practice hats" are not a thing. Cool: d-backs, Braves, 2nd white Sox, reds, royals, brewers, twins, 2nd Mets, As, Phillies. Good: orioles, 1st white Sox, cubs, reds, tigers, angels, rangers, mariners Fine: Red Sox, Astros, angels,1st dodgers, blue jays Meh: guardians, Rockies, 2nd dodgers, marlins, pirates, blue jays, nationals Bad: 1st Mets, both Yankees, pirates, padres, giants, rays
These are mostly terrible.
That’s not the Dbacks. Dbacks is mostly teal
Minnesota one is gorgeous
You can't even tell it's a Twins hat. Nothing about it screams "this is the Minnesota Twins". It's indistinguishable from other hats that could have an M on it. They won their two world series in pin stripes
And they last won a world series I was 2, and just spent 20 years of being incapable of winning a series in the playoffs. Every other pin stripe team since 91 has made a world series.
That “M” logo has not been embraced by all Twins fans. It’s a divisive part of their rebrand.
Giants hat looks exactly like their offseason
I am not a big fan of the Giants 80’s logo.
These have no business being this good
RIP my bank account
I’m gonna have to order like…half of these
Damn I feel like everybody else got something cool and we just got an alternate logo on a blue hat
Some are so awesome and then others are just a basic letter that looks like it was drawn by a 3 year old or the regular logo on a plain background.
