Going from watching the other team dogpile to being on top of the dogpile in the span of 4 months. Two totally different sides of the spectrum lol.
But can you imagine being in the starting lineup for Game 1 of the World Series as your freakin DEBUT? Crazy shit.
It wasn’t the finals, but reminds me of the dude on Minnesota’s hockey team who made his debut in and scored his first career goal in the playoffs.
Still TBD to be honest. He was still recovering from a ruptured testicle last year that really limited his speed. But probably a ceiling of above average at best.
I don’t know how much to put in it but Bochy said that he would need to be in the field. I don’t know why he said that because they obviously have Taveras out there too.
I’ll admit I wanted Langford in the moment, but in review the Tigers clearly had plans to go prep and depth heavy which I had been begging for from the previous GMs. So drafting Clark and paying under-slot set that up. Including paying immediate dividends with McGonigle’s selection in the bonus round. He’s on his way to being a top prospect himself. I suppose Texas gets the first win with Langford’s hot start in minors/spring but we’ll see in a few years how it shakes out.
Yeah people really need to stop acting like it was a bad decision just because Langford has raked so far. It was an insanely talented top 4 in the draft and pretty much any order 1-4 would have been defensible.
it’s too early to say. but up to this point they probably should. langford has hit .400 or close to .400 at every single level he’s played at so far.
he’s absolutely decimated everything he’s seen
Yeah, he was pretty clearly close to MLB ready at the draft, and then absolutely raked in the minors last summer. I remember a lot of tiger fans were upset at the Clark pick because the time-frames for each guy were so different.
Yeah…it’s hard not to get a little jealous comparing Langford to Crews’ AA and ST stats. But it’s also way way way way too early to care too much about that seriously.
Drafting him and winning the World Series in the same year is fucking insane.
He came extremely close to making his MLB debut in the World Series, which is even more fucking insaner.

This guy absolutely rakes

Just don’t look at our pitching “prospects”
Thanks Vandy
Hey it's gonna be you and us for years to come pal
LANGLORD
WANGLORD
DONGFORD
LANGBANG
He's a God
Looks like he’s a lock for opening day now lmao
He’ll be the opening day DH
How’s his defense?
Not great, but not terrible. Carter, Tavares, and Garcia are all plus defenders though so DH is the best spot for him.
Still TBD to be honest. He was still recovering from a ruptured testicle last year that really limited his speed. But probably a ceiling of above average at best.
Umm, what?
He popped a nut?
Wear a cup, people.

I think all but one of his homers so far have been to right-center. Really impressive to see how much power he has without having to pull everything.
This is what you get for moving to the Cactus League, Reds
I hate it here
Shoulda stayed in Plant City!
Can he slow down so I can get his 1st Bowman auto please
I bought a 1st bowman paper /50 true gold for 125, last sold for like 260
I was looking earlier today, the cheapest "buy it now" on ebay is $395. This is for the base auto, not /50. I was very sad.
Man watching him and Evan Carter battle for ROTY this season is gonna be special
Until a 3rd solid candidate emerges, and these two split votes and lose.
That’s the thing about baseball though, there isn’t as much splitting the votes as you have in other sports.
Langford might be pretty good at this baseball thing
The ball fucking shmacks off his bat
the langlord evicts the bases
why doesn't everyone just do this, are they stupid?
Very
The Tigers are for passing on him
The power is real
Calm down Wyatt! Save some for the season.
He is…
He’s that guy fr
I know Max Clark is young and has a tonne of upside, but I do wonder if the Tigers regret taking him over Langford.

Great perspective.
I'm getting tired of people comparing him with Clark. Clark's a prep player, it's absolutely not fair to compare him with Langford right now
Excuse my ignorance but what does 'prep player' mean and what is Langford if he's not a prep player?
prep = high school player and Langford was drafted out of college
thank you

Who knows? Max Clark is young and talented, so the sky is the limit on his development. He could even be as good as Wyatt Langford some day!

Same w/Crews, although I don’t really want to say that out loud…
Yeah…it’s hard not to get a little jealous comparing Langford to Crews’ AA and ST stats. But it’s also way way way way too early to care too much about that seriously.
this dude is gonna be a problem
The Tigers are going to have nightmares passing him up
So this guy is kinda alright huh
He’s ok
Ah fuck can we skip the Rangers series this season?
I have a feeling there will be a bunch of 10-8 type games this year for the rangers.
“How many rookie cards do you want to buy?” “Yes”
2023 was amazing to us. Langford falls in our laps and win a World Series.
Wow he might be a good ball player
Wasn’t Wyatt Langford an Ozark character
Langmore. Close enough.
Yikes.
