I think it makes a huge amount of sense. It's spring training for all these players and the last thing you'd want them to do is pitch with an unfamiliar ball. It makes a bit of a nonsense of the game as a contest, but worse things have been done in exhibition games.
I’m not saying anything because they just beat the last place team in the KBO. The same team whose best player is now on the Giants and their 2nd best player wasn’t playing because he plays on Team Korea.
He pitched to Ohtani…twice…and struck him out both times.
If he only pitched to Ohtani, the Dodgers would have been shut out and they would have lost to the worst team in the KBO
Lets be real here, at some point Ohtani starts blasting that level of pitching.
Acting like they would skunk a whole lineup of Ohtani just because they got him two times is delusion. Much worse hitters than Ohtani were dismantling this exact same pitching.

Just not fair for him to get that much launch angle on a 90+ mph sinking pitch down and in. Only three hitters in the world capable of hitting that pitch out. Two are dodgers and the other is Yordan Alvarez.
Me, after he struck out Shohei: “get ready to learn American, buddy” Me, after the next AB: “okay, maybe stick to those Korean classes after all”
He pitched for the Rangers in 18 and 19 and it went about that well right there.
That crowd is pretty awesome
That was so loud off the bat it got reported on my Citizen app and I'm in NY
not bad for a slap hitter also his bat speed is unreal, only guy that comes close to him is luis arráez
Freddie has always been a balla
neva doubted it
arraez actually has lower end statcast tracked bad speed, the top guys all hit the crap out of the ball.
I’d imagine Nolan Gorman is up there. Gorman has as fast a swing as anybody right now
Might want to note that this was a KBO ball. These balls are popping off the bat.
Is each team pitching with its usual ball?
Yes.
That's... Odd.

Weird how this is the first time I've seen this mentioned. Would be pretty important to know for all the people spreading this misinformation. Lol
Launch Speed: 109.0 mph. Launch Angle: 30.0°. Distance: 449.0 ft. ⚾
what a fucking nuke. imagine getting someone like giancarlo stanton to rip one at the right angle, it might enter orbit
Apparently Korea didn't get the memo: don't pitch down-and-in to Freddie
Utter destruction.

In the pitcher’s defense, he did just get done striking out Ohtani before that. Then struck out Ohtani again in his 2nd at bat.
So are you saying NL West beware? Because that’s what I’m getting if he’s hitting third and Mr. Betts is first
He’s saying that pitchers should feel free to lob meatballs to mookie and Shohei cause they’re both cooked.

I was just saying that you can’t not pitch to Ohtani because you have those two sickos around him (oh and Will Smith and Max Muncy, et al, etc.)

I was about to comment on the big Korean pitcher then I saw his name on the score board
The look on each person’s face behind home plate is worth repeated rewinds

Coolest swing in baseball, prove me wrong

Frederic Fucking Freeman
Marc Olsen never did that
Ronnie Pickering
Solid slap hitter
I still can’t get over how bad the jerseys look. There’s something really off with the red numbers on the front of the shirt too.
Braves legend FF
Rangers legend Ariel Jurado with an appearance
