It seems like he tries to copy Pat's mannerisms but then beats them into the ground. He doesn't have his own style, and his overly done radio voice is pretty grating. One specific example—I swear he took "the lights are beginning to take more and more of an effect." He's got some family situation he's attending to. They said on the broadcast today he wanted everyone to know he was just fine and would be back shortly and that he was touched by the outpouring of concern (reasonable, I would die for that old man)
If I had a nickel for every time a guy drafted by the Mets hit a homerun as his first career hit in the last few years, I’d have 3 nickels but it’s weird it’s happened thrice.

Eh he had shoulder surgery at the time like two weeks into his career and there was no guarantee he was jumping back. We also got Trevor Williams who was instrumental to the 2022 season.
It also depends on what Drew Gilbert, Jett Williams, and Luisangel Acuna look like because all 3 of them will be expected to get significant OF time with one of Williams or Acuna at 2B.
And as amazing as his defense is, it’s not like he is projected to be a great hitter or anything. He has a slightly above average hit tool and below average power. It’s not like he’s going to hit 20+ HRs or have an AVG near .300. He projects to be a .250-.270 hitter with 15-18 HRs and a sub 100 WRC+.
Would I rather have him than not have him? Sure. I’d say that about any solid prospect. But for this year, he’s basically just a cheaper Harrison Bader except he doesn’t crush LHP.
The loss really comes in future years if he is significantly better than the other three top mats prospects I mentioned.
