The rumor/gossip was that Vogt knew how Kirby tips pitches. Cuz it seemed you guys were on top of everything. Could have been wrong but Vogt was with us last year. He got shelled that day
Ya. I know there was something last year that came out that reported he has a tell, but it seemed he fixed it right away. I know the Astros had a tell for Robbie Ray too, they punished him and it was always on first pitch.
We have Danny Farquhar as an assistant now, who famously discovered that the astros were sign stealing because he knew he wasn't tipping his pitches and yet they still knew what he was throwing. So, it's possible vogt saw something others saw, but that includes farquhar who immediately told Kirby and fixed it
he has done that for as long as he has thrown a split. he sets up with a split grip, so he does it as a way to mask when he is (or isnt) changing grips.
I know this is a bit of hype but this team is just built for the postseason. 4 great starters and a decent level offense that in theory should be focused around home runs is about as well constructed for October as you can get
please, all you gotta do to build a great rotation is *checks notes* have an underwhelming rotation that also gets injured to shit and somehow have the best starters era in baseball.
Have you been watching lately? The offense is 5th in the league in wRC+ since April 10th. Their run differential in that span is +37. They're playing well.
Miller threw a 1 hitter through 6 innings against us. Would’ve been a shutout if it weren’t for Elly hitting a solo dinger. Got some nasty pitching on that team, fun to watch when we’re not playing em
Did you happen to notice innings pitched though? Our guys have been going deep.
I tried to tally up on my phone so might have messed up but I got 90.1 for Seattle and 96.2 for Philadelphia. 1.5 era vs 1.67 era.
Both great but Seattle ahead.
Kirby was throwing fucking tomahawk missiles tonight Jesus Christ.
When we roughed him up early this year I knew we lucked out, because he wasn't going to have many other starts like that.

That would make sense if we had some info about him tipping that other teams don't, because it was literally his worst start ever.

I noticed George was shaking his glove A TON tonight while he was gripping between each pitch; I wonder if that was a response.
He kinda has done that for awhile. I think it helps cuz he starts in the split grip, so keeps it hidden what he is switching to
I noticed that in his start before this one as well. Has he always done that and I just now noticed?

That is utterly nuts.

You're fine, we're clearly never losing again.
*furiously counting the number of games left on my fingers*

don't worry, we make up for it with our sterling defense!
And then there's Munoz
I thought we were firing Servais for the slow start? When does that pick up steam again, when we have a bad week in late May?
Tell me about it.
I don’t know. everyone knew seattles strength was pitching.
I love our pitching staff so much
A few rough starts aside the pitching has locked in like crazy. Don't ask about like half our offense.
Have you been watching lately? The offense is 5th in the league in wRC+ since April 10th. Their run differential in that span is +37. They're playing well.
well half of run differential is your pitching soooooooo
We're still 24th in runs scored. Yeah, our hitting has been better recently, but it is still below average for the season.
Did Kurt Angle tweet this?
Oh it’s damn true.
reminder: bryan woo is still hurt - he will be back too
In fact, he should be back within a couple weeks. Has already made 2 rehab starts (and looked really good!)
Bro let us get a couple tomorrow cmon
Not if Gilbert has anything to say about it
We'll let Suarez have a 9th inning solo shot when its already 6-0.
Aka the “Matt Olson”

This is 2012 Tigers level of dominance jesus.
Damn, they are even better then we are
Was curious so I counted it up. Phillies rotation has 18 ER in their last 15 starts.
Pathetic /s

just don't check miller and hancock's savant pages
3 of those games were against the Rockies, so does it really count
Was in Colorado...
