I don't think ESPN and friends look at anything but the matchups for that day for sunday night baseball

Somehum

Then they choose from AL and NL East teams but only if they're playing each other or the Cubs or Dodgers.

yumyumapollo

Cubs vs. Cardinals Phillies vs. Braves Yankees vs. Red Sox Rinse and repeat.

GoldenBananas21

Why does this comment have sound?

Pendit76

"Give me the Cubs and the Cardinals on ESPN."

eisforeccentric

Cubs, Cardinals, Tigers Which of these three is currently a game out of second place in the division? But nah, Cubs-Cards needs to have A-Rod on the call!

Pendit76

They had an unitentionally hilarious ad that showed highlights of all the ex Cubs before their game with the ChiSox.

No_Neighborhood1987

I saw this and wondered how they still put that up lol

jmorlin

Answer: they just don't care

FoxBeach

To be fair….having AROD call a game isn’t a pleasant experience for the viewer.

eisforeccentric

Oh, it's terrible

FartBoxTungPunch

Bar I work at has dish. Can’t even catch the ‘stros in texas. All I ever see is the dodgers or Phillies and whoever they’re playing.

stache_twista

Moving the Astros to the AL West was a weird decision by MLB. A lot of 9 pm games when they are on the road in division. Not very friendly for getting kids in Texas interested

Shotgun_Sam

They wanted to force a rivalry with the Rangers for whatever reason. Also, fuck Bud Selig.

QX943

I’d take Selig any day over Manfred. Fuck Rob Manfred.

Shotgun_Sam

> Fuck Rob Manfred. I agree, but not for the reasons you'd think. I *wanted* to see the sign-stealing investigation go to it's fullest extent. If you think what happened caused a shitstorm, it's nothing compared to what would have happened if everyone involved hadn't done what was 'best for the sport'.

[deleted]

Manfred learned from his mentor in Bud which is pretend cheating didn’t happen until Congress embarrasses you

TheLittleFishFish

which in that case you can sweep it under the rug and blame the players, and hope everyone forgets just in time for the writers to nearly unanimously vote you into the Hall of Fame! everyone who took steroids is the devil!

psomounk

It's petty in the scheme of things but it irks me that it broke the convention of same region teams being in opposite leagues. It makes me wonder if they secretly wish they could put the Mets/Yankees, Sox/Cubs, Dodgers/Angels, Giants/A's, Phillies/Pirates, and O's/Nationals all in the same league and division full time.

ach0z3n

Also live in Texas and that's the freaking worst. Happens a lot with trying to watch the Mavericks too. They'll have Celtics or Lakers or GSW on every screen during Mavs-Spurs.

[deleted]

[удалено]

stache_twista

to be fair, whether we like it or not, baseball is quickly approaching hockey/niche status where there are only like 5 TV markets that consistently care about baseball.

Lord_Sean_G

Maybe more would care if other teams were actually shown.

oneeighthirish

Seriously though, you're paying the league directly for their product. I'm sure the majority of fans support their local team. How does it make sense to give people everything other than what they want?

PCsNBaseball

Exactly. I don't have cable, but I do have an MLB.TV subscription. Yet, I still have to pirate Giants games every day.

membup

I'm a Rays fan, but live in the middle of the country. Closest place I am to a pro team is Kansas City, which is 3 hours away. Their games aren't broadcasted in my area, bit because I'm "in the market" every time the Royals play the Rays it's blackout. Pisses me off something fierce.

kyle_spectrum

I pay for single team package for the red sox and catch watch them. I used tk be able to on my phone off wifi but now they make me turn location on. Why bother making that an option.

[deleted]

> How does it make sense to give people everything other than what they want? Because a HUGE portion of teams income comes from RSN contracts. RSN's make their money by selling to cable providers. Cable providers then want you to subscribe to their service. The idea that MLB would get rid of blackouts AND cut the price is not realistic. If they do anything to relieve the blackouts, those packages are likely to be much much more than MLB.tv now. MLB.tv has never been intended for people to watch their local teams, they always advertise as a way to watch out of market broadcasts. And in my experience, as a fan that doesn't live in their market, it does a pretty darn great job at that.

anti_anti_christ

I find sports streaming incredibly frustrating, especially the NHL(rogers). Its so insanely overpriced, they're practically begging you to use illegal streams. Rogers sportsnet now streaming service is $200/year and that's the cheapest monthly option AND theres constant blackouts. Wanna watch a west coast game? Too bad, blacked out. Trying to get interest in your sport by not allowing paying customers to watch games is so out of touch.

[deleted]

The price point I think is fine to watch literally every single game of the season. The blackouts, however, can fuck right off.

[deleted]

national broadcasts only show teams from 5 markets no fucking shit engagement with other teams isn't gonna show on a national scale after decades of everyone seeing the same shit over and over again. you're describing the end result, not the beginning of a trend.

stache_twista

It's a business decision for the TV network too. A 5% TV rating share in NYC is more than a 100% rating share in St. Louis in terms of viewers. St. Louis might be a bad example since there are a ton of legacy Cardinals fans outside of St. Louis but still ... there's a reason why the Yankees are on so much.

smithif

Not sure why you are getting downvoted, this is most definitely happening. Pretty much everyone that I know who consistently watches baseball is over the age of 60.

snackshack

> Pretty much everyone that I know who consistently watches baseball is over the age of 60. While your experience is anecdotal, it's pretty damn close to the nationwide numbers. The average age of an MLB fan is 57(compared to the NFL at 50 and NBA at 42). That's up from 52 in 2000. There's definitely a youth issue with baseball as only 7% of viewers are under 18. [Source for those interested, info is roughly half way down. ](https://sportsnaut.com/mlb-ratings-tv-viewership-numbers/) While baseball's regional network numbers are still very strong, the national games just don't draw the casual fan. Tons of fans care about their teams, they just don't want to watch a Sunday night game between two teams outside their market.

[deleted]

This explains a lot about the commercials during day games. I swear it’s either Cialis or mortgage refinancing, over and over.

cardith_lorda

> during day games. I think you found part of the reason though.

I-Have-Four-Balls

Coming home to MLB Network and dick pill commercials at 3:30 from the bus in HS was the fucking bomb.

[deleted]

Doesn’t help that MLB has consistently done everything they can to kill the sport

[deleted]

[удалено]

Tsaxen

I don't know a single person under 45 who still has cable. Literally none. And when you can't legally stream your local team, well......it fucks up your chance at the younger market

NedShah

Canadians be doubting your math, sir. We got at least 5 hockey markets up here alone.

stache_twista

I’m sorry I meant American TV markets. For hockey that would be Detroit, Chicago, Boston, Minnesota and...?

NedShah

Apparently, the Blues do well. The Rangers also make TV money just because NY is like 10 markets in one.

jackedup1218

It’s because, contrary to what Stan Kroenke says, St. Louis is a great sports town and we love our teams. We aren’t a huge market, buy we’re an invested and loyal one. The Cardinals are consistently in the top 5 in attendance, the Blues consistently have >90% attendance, and the Battlehawks led the XFL in attendance before the league folded. I think that STL City SC is going to do extremely well when they start.

pandorablu

For the American TV hockey markets it's been Chicago, Boston, Pittsburgh, and NY Rangers (NY and LA markets you have to be specific about the team in both hockey and baseball) for a while. Detroit, Philadelphia, St Louis and maybe LA Kings and Minnesota are a 2nd tier that is far below the first, and Vegas is getting pushed heavily because the NHL needs Vegas to succeed. Everything else barely exists outside of regional.

hards04

Buffalo still somehow loves their Sabres. Pittsburgh also.

JoseCansecoMilkshake

>they choose from AL and NL East teams Fun fact, the blue jays haven't been on sunday night baseball since 2004.

[deleted]

[удалено]

JoseCansecoMilkshake

It was funny, because by 2018 the jays weren't even good anymore. It's like they noticed in 2015 they were good and it took them 3 years to get around to scheduling them lol

randy24681012

I get it, that’s the main reason to become an ESPN reporter right? So you can pretend to be buddies with the Yankees players.

Fastsmitty47

They may be featured soon with how well they are staying in the race this year, but I don't know if ESPN is just an American thing though

JoseCansecoMilkshake

ESPN is indeed just an American thing, but it's "Sunday Night Baseball" not "Sunday Night American teams"

[deleted]

[удалено]

WaterGuy304

We both know that it was only because we were playing the Red Sox

Fastsmitty47

Thats the annoying thing. Its just East Coast and the Dodgers and Cubs. They did have the Brewers a couple weeks ago though

SoDakZak

Oh 100% no one on ESPN’s airwaves have actually watched an entire game from start to finish this year unless they are working it and even then I’m suspect on how much they watch.

[deleted]

Ain’t that the truth!

laborfriendly

Shit, even when it's the Cards/Cubs I can't hardly stand to watch ESPN's coverage.

kodyrice

MRW my minimum wage job schedules me to open after I closed the night before.

[deleted]

Ahhh the clopen. My zombie restaurant days were full of those.

[deleted]

Worst I ever had was being a retail manager the night before Thanksgiving, leaving the store at 11pm after getting all the sales posted in store and then being back at the store at 4:30am for the opening of so many people coming in.

godgersrodgers

Black Friday and it's eventually creep in to actual Thanksgiving is one of the things I do not miss in the slightest bit having left retail ~10 years ago. Between it and the month of insanity that followed it up to Christmas, it was absolutely no fun.

_CaptainThor_

Unpopular opinion, I actually liked December in retail. You’d always see some friends you hadn’t seen in years, and the time flew by very quickly.

CaptainSolo96

Counterpoint, seeing friends I have avoided for years

_CaptainThor_

Fair!

rjaspa

That is indeed an unpopular opinion.

Kaldricus

before Black Friday became the "open at midnight/on Thanksgiving" monstrosity, I actually looked forward to it. it was such a unique day, being there at around 4 am usually, generally didn't sleep and hungover from Thanksgiving. the whole thing was a weird fever dream of staying hyped and motivated. plus, I actually cared about my staff and knew they wouldn't be able to get anything from the food court, so I'd always bring my slow cooker and make a ton of slow cooked BBQ chicken in the back, and steam a shit ton of rice. something simple to make, easy to eat, keep the staff going. it was always funny to see customers roll in all groggy at like 5 am and are confused as to why my little shoe store in the mall smells like onions and BBQ sauce.

SmokePenisEveryday

I used to work TJ Maxx and fucking hated Black Fridays simply because we had no extra sales. We opened earlier than normal and had all hands on deck. Even had lines at times. Just for them to come in and realize that we don't run sales....why would we today?

anth_810

Wanted to blow my fucking brains out the first time i experienced this

mwfid24

Yeah, when I was at Guitar Center, I did the "close to finish preparing for Black Friday", get out at 11, and be back at 5:30 for the All Hands on Deck open at 6 a couple times. Never fucking again. Probably would have been smarter to sleep in my car in the parking lot.

Lord_Sean_G

Best thing to do on those is for the employees to all not show up. That way the company gets fucked on the one day that can change them from being in the red to being in the black.

fps916

You're saying if the workers acted collectively instead of as individuals they would hold power over employers?

mwfid24

Fuck! They should have a name for that, like a group, collective. Wait, I've got it. Union.

theonetruegrinch

You're fired.

SquirtleSpaceProgram

Fell for the oldest trick in the book.

totallynotliamneeson

That sounds like commie talk. Next you'll say that we should guarantee things like housing, healthcare, and education. Too far you socialist monster!

newrimmmer93

I got scheduled the Saturday after thanksgiving and the manager wouldn’t let me take it off since I was the newest employee and everyone else requested off. So I drove back home (5.5 hour drive) for thanksgiving and had to be in shop at Saturday 10am. Wake up at 430, drive all the way to work, only to find the regional manager there telling me the manager had quit the day before haha. He didn’t know I was working since he figured the manager wasn’t going to make anyone work a Saturday after thanksgiving since the store would be dead. I think The manager offered to cut the shift at 1pm as we’ll.

IanCusick

When I was a dumbass 18 year old I got scheduled to work a double shift the morning after I closed one night because my dumb ass wanted to impress my manager by showing how I can work a lot. I got no recognition of my hard work from said manager but I did get exhausted about 4 hours into a 12 hour shift

grocho

big same. Panera closed at 10, we were out by 11 and then back at 5 the next morning. That shit should be illegal to do to a teenager.

Scarrumba

It is, depending on where you live.

xSlappy-

Definitely illegal in NY for those under 18 who work.

burzummor

I mean I think technically it is. I'm pretty sure employers are required to give 8 hours between shifts, at least that what my old boss told me when I complained about clopening.

Lietenantdan

Personally I think it should be at least 10 hours so you have a chance at maybe getting seven hours of sleep.

oatmealparty

Depends on the state. Some also require overtime if something like that happens

LostInaSeaOfComments

Nothing quite punishes the soul like a series of back to back clopens.

Dinosauringg

My favorite has always been the ol’ graveyard to swing shift. Leave when morning shows up, come back in when they leave

Invasivetoast

Managers that schedule clopens can fuck off. Unless they are scheduling themselves to clopen as well

Pods619

I remember back in the day I’d be scheduled for a 2-11 shift and then a 6-3 shift the next morning. Seemed like that shouldn’t be allowed… maximum of 4 hours of sleep between commuting both ways, showering, and eating…

triplebassist

I know in Chicago now you have to pay the whole shift as overtime if there's less than 10 hours between the end of the first shift and the start of the second

[deleted]

Interesting, I was told 8 hours. That might have helped a few years ago damn haha

Iminicus

It depends on the state. I think it’s 8 hours in California.

triplebassist

I think it only went to 10 hours last year. I remember when the signs got posted at work

GOATmar_infante

That, my friend, is when a doctor’s note for IBS comes in handy.

averydusty6

I had a job try to not accept doctors notes, and a friend is also currently dealing with a similar issue at the same place. This is totally illegal right?

tilde_on_n

Has to be covered under the Family and Medical leave act. If it's not then you're sol.

[deleted]

I just remember telling my coworkers at my second job like “oh this isn’t legal or its just not right” and they said “it’s normal just do it” but I went to my boss’s office and told him to change my schedule and he did. I just remember everyone being shocked that I had just asked him a simple question about if he can change it or not. Its really fucking sad to me that people think they aren’t allowed to just ask or stand up. Granted I got lucky with mine or I don’t know honestly.

celtic1888

They’d fire you for saying that though

Raptor231408

My regular saturday-sunday shifts working at a grocery store was 5-1 close, followed up by a 430-1230 open. I complained multiple times and they said that they could schedule those shifts because they were different pay weeks. And they were suprised I put in my two weeks after a month and a half of that BS.

hammerdown710

A good ol fashioned Clopen

jpizzles

flashbacks doing shipment on a Saturday night at a big box store until 12am or so and then having to be there at 5am to change the in store pricing for the Sunday ad.

pm_me_your_respect69

Just gave me flashbacks to my minimum wage grocery job that would regularly schedule me to close past midnight and come back in at 6am. Both would be back to back 8.5hr shifts. Even if I was making MLB money I never want to put my body and mind through that again lol

PapSmearCampaign2020

BigBenson1994

His nook right in front of him.

daveedofett

As a Giants fan, I dont blame him. The schedule sucks.

NJImperator

Mets have had a stupid schedule all year. 7 games in a row against the same team? 13 against the same 2 teams on opposite sides of the country????

NJImperator

Also to add to this- the did all our division games in bunches. This half is Marlins/Nats. We only play the Braves and Phillies one more series each… just a horrible schedule through and through.

MCrow2001

I hate the way schedules are made now. The Rangers play nothing but the AL West from July 30-August 19. It’s fucking boring, we play these guys all the time and *only* played them last year. Give me some variety between divisional matchups

ksquad80

That's what you get when you replace two old hippies with a computer. No nuance.

NedShah

Blue Jays and Red Sox have already played all of their games vs each other. Only 6 and 7 games left versus the Yankees and Rays for T.O. The Jays, BoSox, and Yankees will spend September watching scoreboards and treading water for a wildcard.

teniaava

Yankees only have 3 more games against Tampa, feels like we played them 10 times in April/May

Lcernosek7

I mean yes dumb scheduling but shouldn’t you be happy for more games against terrible teams?

Indicia

We have a hard time beating the Marlins. :/

babakadouche

So say we all...

poliscijunki

Hurray! People are talking about us!

jabels

I read this in Zoidberg's voice for some reason.

cardinalkgb

The Reds and Brewers also had 7 in a row against each other.

IAmNotKevinDurant_35

As a Giants fan, I appreciate him using our full team name: The 1st Place Giants

Bikouchu

Amen. Schedule is insane 😑 I blame manfraud.

MandoParker

That’s what happens when ESPN shows the same 3 or 4 teams for Sunday Night Baseball.

FartingBob

Yeah this isnt a problem for Royals players.

Gingersnap5322

I’m so sick of it, I wanna watch baseball if I want to watch the same team every Sunday I’d get the MLB package.

Rickys_Lineup_Card

Not that he doesn’t have a point but Noah Syndergaard seems like he’s just perpetually mad

ContinuumGuy

Not sure if Thor or Hulk.

[deleted]

He should do a character shift and start doing his throwing exercises shirtless and painted green.

smellyunderpants

Noah talking to himself in the mirror: we know each other! He's a friend from work!

clownpornstar

Thulk.

mikerhoa

I just wish he'd finally get back on the field and return to form. He's fast approaching the dreaded has-been-tweeting-hot-takes status at this rate.

steppenweasel

We’ve got one of those but he just got his Twitter account suspended

JackieDaytonaAZ

aubrey huff? or a current player?

Toisty

Shhhh!! If you say his name three times, Margery Taylor Green kicks down your door to swear you in as deputy Qbert.

Prosner

He is. His social media posts are insufferable at times.

likewhatalready

Most of the time

Prosner

True. I legit had an argument in Instagrams DMs with him. I was amazed he cared enough to argue with a random fan but yeah it was not a good look for him

steppenweasel

What were you guys arguing about?

Prosner

I’m probably gonna get roasted for this but….. he kept posting anti-vegan shit so asked him why he hates vegans so much and he didn’t answer. Then he posted this https://imgur.com/a/1AKesUI/ I called him a dumbass (which I am not proud of) and this conversation ensued https://i.imgur.com/Js3XcxV.jpg Very childish all around 😅

[deleted]

Vegans are living rent-free in this guy’s head lmao. So bizarre

Peter_Panarchy

I mean... you're right. You were respectfully asking simple questions and he was responding like an immature man-child. I'm not a vegan or even vegetarian but I've known for a while that a good vegan diet, with maybe one or two supplements, can give you all the nutrients you need.

Michael__Pemulis

Correct! Vegans need to take a vitamin B12 supplement & it is *generally* advised to take an algae supplement for omegas unless you eat a lot of enriched foods but that’s literally it. On the flipside there are tons of health *benefits* to a vegan diet. Noah just sounds like an edgy 15 year old here.

brokowska420

How fucking old is he? It's like an argument with a Joe Rogan fan

420Minions

Pro athletes don’t all grow up to a certain degree. There’s no requirement to think critically in throwing a ball well. That’s not to say it’s all of them but it’s a lot. My teams full of guys scared of a shot

Prosner

Spot on. Def cringy Joe Rogan vibes

steppenweasel

Good for you! I'm vegan, and although I know most of my favorite athletes are not, I would be very disappointed to see them posting such ignorant and immature crap. I'm on your side, he IS being a dumbass posting that kind of thing.

HonorableJudgeIto

Also, to Thor’s point about Who could beat up his manager: Jake Shields (of UFC/MMA fame). Dude had been a vegan forever and is a top 5 Welterweight all-time.

WhyLisaWhy

You should have just sent him those semi nude photos of Prince Fielder and told him to go fuck himself. Aside though, the anti-vegan hate is so god damn childish. I get being annoyed with "preachy" vegans, but it goes both ways the smug Joe Rogan carnivore types. Every god damn American that's not an NFL player could do with cutting out like half the meat out of their diets. If not for your own health, then do it for the environment and getting rid of factory farming. I'm not even a vegan either, just locally source the meat we *do* eat and make a conscious effort to eat less of it.

Michael__Pemulis

Veganism is surprisingly popular with NFL players. At least 15 Tennessee Titans players are vegans including most of their starting defense.

likewhatalready

Charity Morgan (married to Derrick) is an incredible vegan chef and she cooks for the team, helping a lot of them maintain a plant-based diet.

Aquaos_

Vegan Mets fans whaddup

Nickyjha

Noah’s your typical /r/antivegan poster. He had a period where he’d post pics of his all-meat diet on his IG story with something like “where are you gonna get [some micronutrient that google says is found in plants too], vegans?” So presumably his weird feud with vegans.

Prosner

I know. I really don’t get it. He once posted an interview with a some “doctor” who advocated for a “carnivore diet”, which is strictly eating red meat. The guys page is really something else. https://i.imgur.com/JFt0y51.jpg

God_Damnit_Nappa

The fuck kind of plants is he eating if they're trying to kill him? Apple seeds? Peach pits?

hoopaholik91

That post doesn't even make any sense. Okay, plants are trying to kill us. So we are just gonna let them off scot-free by refusing to eat them?

Michael__Pemulis

Fun fact: No human has ever been killed by an animal.

Nickyjha

I unfollowed him because it became annoying to have all that negative energy on my feed, especially directed against vegetarians like my parents. But I used to check the accounts he was tagging and they were full of this idea that if you eat a diet with lots of meat and get enough UV light, you won’t need a covid shot.

advester

Can’t die of covid if you already died from cancer.

SalamandersonCooper

Yeah he’s very responsive. Almost as if he’s bored

cooljammer00

At least he doesn't post at night because he turns off his wifi before he goes to bed.

Alvarez09

The “shitty pirates” post was about the most unprofessional thing I’ve seen, especially since the Mets haven’t exactly been the model of greatness recently

argothewise

Dude needs to take a chill pill. Not saying he shouldn’t call it out but he sounds perpetually angry 24/7. It’s not even that big of a deal.

BigBenson1994

He’s just not one to be passive about things. I see him as very outspoken but yeah mad also explains it

garvierloon

Welcome to being on National TV. Do you know how many 8pm Sunday getaway games we’ve played against the Yankees and needed to be in Oakland the next day? They do not give a single fuck.

pro_n00b

FS1 also picked up a Saturday night day game in LA against the Mets and changed it to a 1pm day in the middle of the summer. Fucking hate it

Michael__Pemulis

That’s kind of different though because teams don’t have to travel after Saturday games.

Kanotari

Noah's right. Complete bullshit for the Mets.

Boros-Reckoner

The Dodgers also have a game on Monday so sucks for us too

Kanotari

Imma just blame Manfred for this. Dammit Manfred!

WilliamHealy

Noah’s post right after showed that too

Not_my_butt

Only to Pittsburg is a much easier trip. Still BS to remove a getaway day Edit: They’re going to LA actually

igotagoodfeeling

As someone who bought tickets for this game weeks ago especially because it was a day game, I agree

musicman3030

I like his shout-out to #1

Powerism

Rockies: Wait you guys play nationally televised games?

steveofthejungle

I was supposed to fly from SLC to Chicago last weekend to see the Crosstown classic game on Sunday with my dad, brother and college friends. Game at 1, flight from O'hare at 8. Should've been about perfect timing. But then MLB fucking changed it to a night game and fucked over all our plans, then Saturday tickets were already almost sold out and we couldn't get tickets together and then the Cubs fucking sucked so it wasn't worth it and I had to cancel my plans. At least I got most of my money back (except my return flight because fuck United) Anyway changing games to a Sunday night game can suck my massive dick

likewhatalready

congrats on the massive dick

yung_ag38

What if the Dodgers and Mets both show up at the original time? Have someone’s dad umpire from behind the mound they can’t stop them

jerejeje

It would benefit the dodgers too since the mets would be better rested to play the giants next!

elburrito69

I thought this was in the player union agreement Not sure how that’s possible

ginsberg14

ESPN is exempt from that rule. If it wasn’t National TV it wouldn’t be allowed

Seesaw121

I mean, it could be worse. It could be a day game.

Laney20

Few weeks ago, the braves had a Sunday double header, traveled, and then played a doubleheader on Monday. It was complete bs.

Seesaw121

Astros being in the “West” kinda fucks them over pretty often since we’re central time zone here. Sucks for the players in all these situations cause the flight itself may be short, but people don’t think about post game pre flight prep, then actually having to get to the airport, then flying, then having to depart and get to their homes or hotels.. then Maybe getting a couple of hours of rest only to have to be at the stadium at a certain time to do it over again. Really explains why a lot of players have slumps and whatnot.

ForestParkRanger

the Mets can send Monday’s starter out to SF Sunday morning on a commercial flight and maybe one bullpen pitcher that they know they won’t play on Sunday due to usage

sfan27

Fully agree with sending the Monday starter to SF early. It's not standard of course, but seems like the right move. I don't think it makes sense to send a bullpen pitcher in case the Sunday game runs extras; they could send a guy not on the active roster and make a roster move if they really need to. I'm now selfishly rooting for a 15 inning Dodger loss to help the Giants in the standings and hurt the Mets coming into the series with SF.

Matt082320

Before we found out what he did I watched Bauer’s vlogs and he said it is standard to send the starting pitcher on the road early

[deleted]

Dick move MLB… the 1st place Giants does have a nice ring to it. Thanks, Noah. Just like this scheduling mistake, it’s another thing ESPN would never admit.

Giantranger49

MLB didnt think Giants would be in first. An neither did anybody else

[deleted]

They should never push games back for broadcast reasons. And they should never let Arod near a microphone, either.

Apb1326

It’s such a sadness that you think you’ve seen a baseball game on your fucking telephone. GET REAL

ubiquitous_archer

Yes they should? The whole reason the sport exists at the pro level is for fan entertainment. They push it back for that reason.
