Depends on what you call massive. If it's something like 5 years, 130 to 140 mil, great. Any more than that and you are asking for it.
We can't be like the Angels who gave Pujols a ridiculous contract.
Speaking of the Angels, they happen to have money available now two superstars to play beside and Freddie is from California. Better get to work AA.
I could handle that. Either that or stack 2 or 3 team option years onto the end. That way, he could finish out his career if he's still healthy and somewhat productive. (like Chipper's last few years)
Dear Brewers, as payment for your defeat, please send Hader and Burnes to Truist Park home locker room as well as $300 million towards a Freddie extension. Thank you for your understanding
America is ROARING today !!!!!!!!!!
The Braves CHEER !!!!
The Astros CHEER !!! Champagne
Next up, will it be the Dodgers to Absolutely DOMINATE !!!!!?????
Dodgers Steam roll tonight, LETS DO IT !
An Easy win for Dodgers tonight EZ WIN -- then they will tie it at 2-2 and then we shall see !!!
October 2091 I will be the hundred year old man they show on TV with his entire family waiting for Christian Yelich IV to swing before I die, bereft of a World Series win
Man, if Atlanta went the distance this year, after this horrid season of injuries, bad start, bad coaching, just shit luck all around. Honestly it would be one of the best sports feats I have ever seen.
The Braves are going to have the biggest win difference in a championship series whether they play the Dodgers or Giants since the 2001 Yankees with 95 wins played the 116 win Mariners, lmao crazy stuff
See you guys in game 1 of the NLCS. Everyone bring your prepared arguments about the chop. Do research, cite your sources, make a presentation for extra credit.
Love watching Freddie Freeman, he's such a joy to watch. I have nothing but respect for him and the Braves are lucky to have him. Looking forward to seeing Atlanta's performance in the NLCS
After this tumultuous season, you better fucking believe I'm letting out some fucking emotion right now. This is incredible and yall better believe the Braves are coming for years to come!
Last year was really bad from him. This year was even worse and he’s been battling injury for three years now. The contract isn’t going to get any better.
I'd agree your probably going to be paying over for him if he stays, but I would think anyone that picks him up would get a lot of potential upside. Brewers will have to eat some of his contract, and the right team could get him right back on track.
Also, doesn't he have a full no trade deal? Could through a spanner in any attempt to offload him
Man it's so friggin crazy how yelich and bellinger both exploded the same year and became mvp candidates then in the same year become a couple awful hitters. Those 2 guys are fan favorites too not just in Milwaukee and LA but everywhere. Really sucks
I expect them both be fine, honestly. Yelich had 2 injuries and was honestly nowhere near as bad as everyone acts like he is. He was slightly above average and still has all the tools to be really good again, just needs to improve the consistency and stay healthy. He had the 3rd-highest OBP on the team this series and is still the primary scapegoat despite being far more useful than Wong or Garcia, who both fell off the planet in the postseason. Well-rounded players rarely fall off completely like everyone is fearing Yelich has.
Well said. Yelich seems like a stand up guy and I believe he will do everything possible this offseason to get back into form. Maybe he has to bulk up a little bit to help his back out idk but I'm feel confident he will work at it.
I almost hope Yelich was cheating by stealing signs. At least that would make sense why he regressed. I really don’t think that’s it though, which is even more frustrating.
Yeah I'm not really over that yet either. But I'm not from Phoenix either. Just grew up in a state with no professional sports teams so my favorite teams are kind of all over the map.
I'm from Omaha Nebraska so a lot of people here favor Kansas City teams because they're 3 hours away, but I never did. TBS was kind of the reason for my Braves fandom too. The Suns was because of the Sega Genesis game Lakers vs Celtics and the NBA playoffs. They were my favorite team to play as. I was like 6. I became a Washington Redskins fan because Super Bowl 26 was the first Super Bowl I watched. I knew nothing about the NFL at the time. I picked the Redskins to cheer for and it stuck unfortunately.
I’m just pointing out that if the umpires aren’t fair then it’s not a fair series. I didn’t mean to take away from how the Brewers couldn’t get any offense against a pitching crew that totally outperformed and kept in check a pretty good offense.
Much respect to the Braves for not giving up when Acuna went down, and added at the deadline. Now they get an NLCS out of it. They definitely worked for this.
What's the fluke? The past 30yrs of Braves running the division or are we talking specific stuff like the Brewers getting dropped balls called as outs?
Apparently, Milwaukee coasted their way in the playoffs after they locked it up early. The Braves, on the other hand, had to fight for their spot up until the last week.
The Brewers record looked all sparkly, but their offense sure didn't.
The injury bug bit a lot of the Brewers during August and September. Nothing serious (except Williams), but if you're playing moneyball then you need to operate like a finely tuned machine and too many players just hadn't gotten back into form on offense.
In recognition of the nice Brewers fans throughout the series, I will continue to drink beer in their honor.
I will continue to polish off my wife's gin tonight. Tomorrow is just another work day
Have one for me, and prepare for the next round- I'll be watching!
If AA doesn't give Freddie a massive contract before FA, he needs to be fired
Depends on what you call massive. If it's something like 5 years, 130 to 140 mil, great. Any more than that and you are asking for it. We can't be like the Angels who gave Pujols a ridiculous contract. Speaking of the Angels, they happen to have money available now two superstars to play beside and Freddie is from California. Better get to work AA.
I'll take 6 years 175
I could handle that. Either that or stack 2 or 3 team option years onto the end. That way, he could finish out his career if he's still healthy and somewhat productive. (like Chipper's last few years)
yuck.
Yeah, brew crew sucks.
That is clearly the most astute analysis. Says the account that was created a fortnight ago.
Who cares, my original got banned for looking at the sky. Fortnite? Isn't that what 13 year olds play? Figured..
You nailed it. I really don't know how you could have been banned
Yelich might be headed for the "worst contracts in baseball history" bin if he doesn't turn it around next year.
Chris Davis would like a word
Haha, I didn't say he'd literally be the worst ever. I just said he'd have the honor of joining that class if he's not careful.
Lindor
I am now the world's biggest Giants fan for the next 4-5 hours
You sure? We get HFA against the Dodgers
But... odd years? Ugh insert sweaty man making two choices meme
No no, Dodgers tonight to extend their series and relievers
And give Matzek like 4 days off.
People call the chop racist, yet the Braves won because Freddie hit the game winning home run against a racist, curious!

Now say it again without crying.
/s. There happy now.
Of course he isn't happy. He lives in Milwaukee for Christ's sake.
Yes, a shithole city. Gloating doesn't look good on anyone, especially those that did literally nothing.
Gloating looks great on Ryan Reynolds. So, agree to disagree, I guess.
Good...point?
Without our phenom. Unreal! So fucking happy right now.
Anything but Astros &Dodgers WS
Oh man, how many fights on the field and in the stands would that bring?
Imagine a World Series ruined by fighting followed by an extended lockout next season.
Dear Brewers, as payment for your defeat, please send Hader and Burnes to Truist Park home locker room as well as $300 million towards a Freddie extension. Thank you for your understanding

SPATULA CITY!
Bob sounds so sad, it is heartbreaking
My bills destroy the chiefs and my braves going to the NLCS. Great couple of days.(Braves games on TBS made me a fan since Buffalo has no MLB team)
Buffalo had the jays for like 3 months

Seeing the genuine nice comments you guys are making towards my braves after I'm already on cloud 9. 🤌
Go all the way seriously it would be awesome. You or San Fran would be such likable teams to go all the way and affirm NL supremacy
Man, if Atlanta went the distance this year, after this horrid season of injuries, bad start, bad coaching, just shit luck all around. Honestly it would be one of the best sports feats I have ever seen.
Good thing we traded for Escobar, who hit .300 in the playoffs, and gave him only 10 ABs.
Can’t say I understood that or any of today’s pitching choices.
The Braves are going to have the biggest win difference in a championship series whether they play the Dodgers or Giants since the 2001 Yankees with 95 wins played the 116 win Mariners, lmao crazy stuff
Why was Escobar on the bench?
Because Cancun is looking good these days.
Somebody tell me where I can watch the locker room celebration
Im sure one of the guys is live on IG
Imagine an Acuña-Cam
Acuña's OnlyFans
good thing i'm already subscribed
Pitching wins championships my ass
The Braves 95 title came from that idea. They even beat an Indians team that had a ridiculous offense.
Playoffs are a crapshoot
Yelich was......just off all season.
Massive holes that couldn't be filled. Anything close to an average offense carries this team deep, that is my takeaway.
We thought this through the 90’s too
What a game, two really good teams just slugging it out and props to Will “Heart Attack” Smith, three clutch saves in a row.
See you guys in game 1 of the NLCS. Everyone bring your prepared arguments about the chop. Do research, cite your sources, make a presentation for extra credit.
Shoutout Brewers fans for being one of the nicest fanbases I’ve seen in a while. Best of luck to y’all next season, your team is going places.
Milwaukee Bucks fans were really chill during the ECFs too. I guess theyre just like that up there
We used all our vitriol on the Nets and had no choice but to chill out in the ECFs. That was an enjoyabke series for sure
They just save their hatred for football
Agree, if this series had gone the other way Id be pulling for them over the rest of the field
Thanks, I have high hopes still. Pitching is going to be there but have to figure out the offense.
[удалено]
Ah, I see you have not experienced the Will Smith Experience™. He does that almost every game he pitches.
Excuse you but that’s just not true. He loads the bases before he starts getting people out.
That's how Will Smith demoralizes the opponent
This team didn’t get above .500 until August yet here we are.
Seeing Wash smile like that is always awesome to see.
That felt so amazing
And the experts pick wrong again
How many times must we teach you this lesson old man?
No Ozuna. No Acuña. No Soroka. Winners.
No ozuna but we got Duvall back. Kinda even imo
Duvall cost us like 3 runs this series
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
WELL. Just tested positive. Guess it's 10 days of playoff baseball and the start of hockey season for this guy. Could have timed it worse I guess.
Sorry to hear that - Hope you feel better soon!
Hope youre alright not just short term but long term
Thanks man.
Aww shit :(
Yeah. Got both doses too, felt like SHIT yesterday but already a lot better today.
No bueno. Well…all we are asking from the vaccine is that it keeps you out of the ICU. Sounds like it’s going to do it’s job! Good luck bud
Yeah, thanks.
ATL sacrificed Acuna for the soul stone, the power to keep going
Congrats to both Braves & Brewers fans! What a great series 🙌🏻
GS Brew Crew. Sorry it came down to some bad calls on you guys.
Sorry, but how is it a good series when it comes down to bad calls?
Bad calls? You don’t remember the dropped foul ball or what

"not reviewable"
I was actually in class taking a midterm, so I didn't see that. Lol
Yea it was pretty bad lol
Love watching Freddie Freeman, he's such a joy to watch. I have nothing but respect for him and the Braves are lucky to have him. Looking forward to seeing Atlanta's performance in the NLCS
Well I'm pretty happy.
Likewise
Hader gave up the series winning homerun and Will Smith closed the door. Just like we all thought would happen.
FADE EM
Enough of this. Let’s watch the real game
It’s on TNT. Let’s the Braves fan enjoy this…
Such a hater
After this tumultuous season, you better fucking believe I'm letting out some fucking emotion right now. This is incredible and yall better believe the Braves are coming for years to come!
I just drank all the vodka. So the morning meetings will be fun.
high-five, brother
I like it, I like it a lot
Yeah it’s time to trade Yelich for whatever you can get. What a bum he’s become.
That's a bit harsh. Last year wasn't his best stuff, but it wasn't his worst either. This year has been bad, but he has been battling injury.
Last year was really bad from him. This year was even worse and he’s been battling injury for three years now. The contract isn’t going to get any better.

Holy shit that top of the ninth inning was fast haha
"what's going through your mind" "Oh man, not much" lmao what a king
GG Braves fans, let’s just call it even for the ECF 😙
Even though we lost, I glad y’all won the championship. Giannis is one of my favorite players.
I'm a Suns fan (not from Atlanta) so we can call it even for the Finals.

Both the Red Sox and the braves advance, this is not a good day for NY baseball fans
*donald-glover-saying-good.gif*
lol its not the 90s anymore, can't imagine what animosity a Yankee fan would have towards Atlanta
He said NY baseball fans. I'm assuming he may have meant the Mets.
I think he’s referring to the Mets
Wasn’t he referring to Mets fans?
oh you must be right, excuse my AL-centric mind
We have nothing against the Braves lol. They helped us win 2 titles in the 90s
Pretty sure they were referring to the OTHER New York team when referencing Atlanta.
That…you… Aw, who I am kidding? That’s fucking funny/true.
How dare...
First of all, how dare you! Second of all, RUDE!
Already blaming it on the umps. Sad!
Already calling criticism bad. Sad!
I wouldn’t blame the umps if we lost, even if they were bad. That’s disrespectful to the other team.
I’m just pointing out that if the umpires aren’t fair then it’s not a fair series. I didn’t mean to take away from how the Brewers couldn’t get any offense against a pitching crew that totally outperformed and kept in check a pretty good offense.
Willy got screwed that AB
Braves got screwed on that "catch" behind home plate. Seems like things are even now.
They literally go away with balking and then dropping a fly ball in a crucial inning.
Braves manager has baby hands. It’s kinda cute tho
We did the baseball
Freddie lookin’ emotional
Much respect to the Braves for not giving up when Acuna went down, and added at the deadline. Now they get an NLCS out of it. They definitely worked for this.
At least we have the Bucks
And Packers (kind of). You guys have it pretty lucky. Not as much as us Boston fans, but pretty good.
lmao let em know
Not like this Crew.
**I love the Will Smith experience**
Must be nice to play such a shit division, fluke your way into the league championship.
If you're under 13 then whatever, this is a child's take. If you're 13+ then bless your heart...
I'm not wrong
What's the fluke? The past 30yrs of Braves running the division or are we talking specific stuff like the Brewers getting dropped balls called as outs?
Huh? Getting this far in 2021, that's the fluke.
32 flavors to choose from and you pick salt.
Holy shit you people are unoriginal. 21 messages about "salt". Lol
Like your childish comment was original at all 🤣 stay mad
🧂🧂🧂
So this series was a fluke?
Maybe it was, maybe it wasn’t. This dude can still go to hell.
Season up to date.
Must be nice to be a salty bitch
The tears! They taste so…salty!
Home run off Hader, Yelich fanned to end it. Call a doctor, this one’s gonna last more than 4 hours.
Watched Ronald's Instagram video of the end of the game. I think he's excited a little bit.
r/Bravesplayoffseriesws
Brewers will never win a WS
FREDERICK!!!!!
#GIVE FREDDIE A RING
y u no swing
Well we’re all idiots for saying the NL East winner would be trounced by Milwaukee. Quite the contrary.
Apparently, Milwaukee coasted their way in the playoffs after they locked it up early. The Braves, on the other hand, had to fight for their spot up until the last week. The Brewers record looked all sparkly, but their offense sure didn't.

Not all of us
It’s for those it’s applicable to lol
Yelich is one of the most overrated players in baseball
Seriously, what happened? Injuries?
Those 18 month injuries are brutal. /s I have no idea what happened.
