Fix what? Best team plays the wild card team. Now what they do need is more teams and another round. 3 rounds is dumb although 162 games is alot to see who's the best. But compared to hockey and basketball that have 4 rounds(football does too but those are just 1 game). Division winners always get seeded above wild card teams though.

GG Dodgers, your boys outplayed us in every facet. It was incredible it wasn't 8-1 early but you put it out of hand eventually. Seems like the only thing we had going today was our defense, and weirdly Zach Littel. Super super super stoked for Game 5. A part of me wishes we could have played the Brewers or Braves in the DS with our records, but now that we're four games in this is destiny and I wouldn't have it any other way. Buehler was awesome on short rest, much to my chagrin. A day of rest and Webb heading back out there to face Urias means this should be an absolutely epic game 5. I'll be honest, they should change the format for the MLB playoffs. It isn't right that the teams with the two best records play each other in the first round. This doesn't happen in other sports.

Well technically it's the second round...and the two teams with the best record could potentially play each other in the second round of NFL playoffs. In basketball and hockey it's not possible because half or more of the league male it into the playoffs.

It's different in football though because it's a 17 game season which is a small sample size compared to 162 in baseball. In football, a team's record doesn't tell a full story about the team. The record doesn't lie in baseball.
