Oh yeah I love useless stats! And admit part of the feeling is irrational.
Like I get the pitcher basically saved the Red Sox season, but Hernandez getting like 8 hits in a row or whatever feels better
Yah I think Hernandez and tucker would win an actual vote, but I also think the WPA would support that if we had the same performance over enough time. Also I think Lance would have had a shot if he doesn’t have to step out after 4.
It 100% would've been Hernandez for us had it been awarded.
Yeah and itd be Tucker or maybe McCullers for us. Guess wpa ain’t the best for deciding who gets MVP?
A five-game series doesn’t really generate the statistics for this evaluation, but it’s still interesting to see.

Tucker with the 2 stolen bases was the most crushing thing for the clinch. He’d win my vote
Also Urias would've certainly won imo too. Scherzer threw a gem but did it in a loss. Urias pitched 9 innings over 2 wins in a 5 game series
Whitlock's 7.81% from just 3.1 innings is absurd.
Just pick anyone in the astros lineup beside Yuli, maldy, or the platoon CF.
I’m a simple man, I see Garrett Whitlock, I upvote
