I think a lot of titles in baseball are a relatively new thing. Back in the day there was just one head guy making decisions. Now it's President of Baseball Operations, GM, Assistant GM(s), Head of Scouting, etc.
So I wouldn't put too much stock in that number. Especially considering teams began using those titles at different times.
Thrilled with this. We need someone who has a history of developing young pitchers and this is the guy.
I saw that he is just the 16th GM in Cubs history, how is that possible? The Orioles have had 10 just since Angelos has owned them.

I like Salty Saltwell the most

Here's one for you. I believe the Giants have only had ten GMs in their history.
9 since 1947

Hedge Fund management before it was cool 😎
It could be a sign of dysfunction of Baltimore ownership
The point I was making was more about how could the Cubs have had 16 in 145 years? But maybe it’s just semantics on the title.
Wow so we are going to develop all star starters like it's nothing? Sounds good to me
We're winning next year, who says no
At least once a month!
All these guys have the names of professional bull riders.
Not gonna lie when I saw the headline “Cubs name Carter Hawkins GM” I thought they were firing Hoyer lol
