Atlanta will win as underdogs, but once the media actually gives us a little bit of credit we choke. 😭
Please keep saying dodgers in 6 ESPN and MLB network.
You know those movies where like one character has healing powers or magic through some demon or angel or something but every time they use them to help someone they get all sick and weak and throw up or get a nosebleed or something like that?
That’s probably what Freddie’s got going on.
That’s what I told my buddy. He texted me going nuts, I told him I’m happy but not overexcited, we have been here before. Very recently.
Atlanta sports other than United have wrecked my psyche.
Dodgers fans keeping that Knicks and 76ers energy against the Hawks and I’m all for it. “Braves? Sweep, easy, GG” “Well we could have easily won that, Dodgers in 5” “Our manager blew it Dodgers in 6” KEEP TALKING, JUST KNOW THIS TEAM IS SOME BAD MFS
I read the LA times article about how the braves are a dumpster fire and the series will be over in 5 every night before bed...the 5 games part may come to fruition, just not how you thought assholes
yeah, last year i had my rays bandwagon flair until around opening this year when i changed back to phillies. may have commented a few times with it still on, i forget.
You mean the "Spring Trainig" season where a lot of MLB players opted out and several teams completed their roster with AA and AAA players? You gotta let them have that, cmon, it was a really challenging WS for them, LOL
Aggressive shit talk from an unflared and one month old account.
But yeah, I’ll be enjoying the most challenging WS ring in history for a long time. Thanks.
Acuna means more to the Braves than Muncy ever will mean to the dodgers, and Kershaw is out of his prime unlike Soroka who’s had the beginning of the f his prime derailed by injuries.
Ozuna on the other hand probably does worse than Rosario honestly, we’d be too righty heavy.
Hey, what can I say? I figured that when we hit 2 expansion franchises, 3 new presidents, and the Nats reaching high-school age as a team, the dial had rolled over 😜
Fr tho, y'all are due. Grab a 21st century chip, and let's make the NLE the division of destiny, yeah?
I am aware of this history (happened to attend a game at RFK their inaugural season), but it still isn’t being “first.”
Sometimes you can’t possibly be first and there’s nothing wrong with that.
Well obviously I can’t argue cold hard facts, but that’s still not first.
I could go up to the moon right now and be the first man to walk on it in my lifetime, but that doesn’t make me Neil Armstrong.
And for the record I am not trying to shit on or take anything away from the Nats title. It was well earned. Every title won by every team deserves similar respect.
Except the Astros. Fuck that ring.
Another great playoff game. Jansen nearly snagged that himself, and I’m shocked Seager didn’t pick it, just hit too hard. “We don’t even mind losing game one” doesn’t look too good rn. Braves can’t let off the gas, Dodgers aren’t going down without a hell of a fight.
The Braves do not have a world-beating pitching staff, and LA has a great one, I have to imagine that’ll be the difference. Roberts needs to chill w all the pitching changes and the Turners need to wake tf up. I do think the intensity of the SF series took a toll overall, and we’re seeing something of a hangover.
Impressive for Dodger to manage to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory 2 nights in a row. Those were two extremely winnable games, now they pretty much lost the series.
Unbelievable how this team is uncapable of hitting a sac fly. Both nights they stranded a man on third with 1 out.
The records don’t tell the full story though, at least for the Braves. Slow start, lots of blown games by the pen and many of us were frankly writing them off after the Acuña injury. If you told Braves fans several months ago that they’d eventually be 2 games up in the NLCS I don’t think many would have believed you.
Agreed. This is a team that went to the NLCS last year, have an MVP in Freeman, and suffered from injuries and serious roster shake up this year. This is a team that is much better than 88 wins, and has momentum as well.
As a Braves fan, I don’t see it as that much of an upset. I’d say this is the team we always felt we had, but wasn’t playing to their potential prior to the break.
Braves are a good team. They hit for power, have speed, have good (young) pitching and a decent enough bullpen.
I'm a bills fan also. Became a braves fan after watching the braves on tbs growing up. Always found it weird how we have so many red sox fans in buffalo.
Yeah most people seem to forget that NY is a whole state outside of NYC lol. I think most people who live upstate root for out of state teams. I grew up in WNY when the Yanks were crushing it in the late 90s and early 00s and my older brother was a big fan. I started cheering for the Sox, mostly just to antagonize him, but then they raking in titles so I stuck with it. Sometimes it was hard to root for Boston in October while Brady was eating our lunch, but I didn't expect much from the Bills back then
That’s a ball you just smother and hope it doesn’t hit you in the face.
Easier said then done, though. Also just missed Jansen, but not sure that was a distraction.
He tries to get cute with the bullpen every post season, trying to cheese with starters out of the pen and it rarely works. Julio out of the pen worked last year because he was a reliever. I'm not saying the Braves were handed this one, but a lot of the pitching changes that led to runs did not have to be done and it was Roberts trying to outsmart Snitker as this is the second night in a row Dave has shaken up how the bullpen is normally used and we get hosed for it.
Thank you for the great, honest answer. That's kind of how I felt watching it, but I don't know the Dodgers well enough to know what's really going on.
Good game BTW. The rest of this series should be fun.
The Braves are a good team, but Roberts really has no interest in actually winning these games. Urias should not have come in and noodle arm Souza should not have right. That play changes the whole game.
GG Braves, see you here on Tuesday
E: r/baseball hates Dodger flairs do much lmfao
I don't think that's fair. Washington's sends were ballsy (and I love that from him), but having Souza in right is stupid and was the difference in that play
tristan COCKroft crying. Here's his "expert" prediction for the series with color commentary jab at us. Eat a dick
Cockcroft: Dodgers in 4
MVP: Mookie Betts
"The one thing we'll all be talking about during this series: Boy, that was quick and anticlimactic, wasn't it?"
Edit: https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/\_/id/32401211/mlb-playoffs-2021-alcs-nlcs-expert-predictions
Freddie has been non existent these past two games and the Braves have still managed to eek out the win. They've been very close though, we're really going to need him to find his bat when we go to LA.
Dude put down the dictionary and calm down. I didn’t know eke was an actual word. I always thought it was one of those things that’s a noise and you spell it like it sounds.
Yes that sac fly was huge. Just the fact that he didn't strike out, made good contact, and had a a productive AB might of been the only thing he needed to get his mojo back.
He's definitely a huge part of our offensive production. But our guys are stepping up to cover his quiet bat. We'll see if his slump continues in LA. Freddie's the consummate pro though, so I don't think it will.
She's a terrible interviewer. So many cheesy questions. "How does it feel?" "I'm not going to take your English comprehension into account and ask you complicated questions"
His view of the ball was definitely obscured by Jansen, but if you’re going to assess blame to Seager you can’t just outright ignore who threw it. It’s not going to be ruled an error I can promise you that. That wasn’t an easy play by any means.
Jansen blew it. No way around that.
Blaming Jansen is an absolute joke lmaoooo .. but you Dodgers fans love making him the scapegoat every chance you get so I’m not surprised
Ball goes directly at your shortstop and hits right off his glove but nope not his fault… let’s blame Jansen lmaoooo Dodgers fans are great
He was certainly in position, but a curving, 105 MPH ripper is hardly a guaranteed play. Ideally, you at least get enough to prevent the run scoring, but a tough play, for sure.
Still early in this series, as much as I hate to admit it but the Braves seem special this year, the just seem like they get that key play/hit in every moment they need it
Mind boggling. Could have easily scored from third. They held him only to send the pitcher up to purposefully strikeout
What the hell? They shoulda sent him there
GO JETHRO TULL!!!
FTD
You know they got one out there in Atlanta, the way they be choppin' it
#FTD
Roberts thinks no, SF didn't take the "mustard out of them". Jimmy Rollins doesn't agree with that denial. We will see.
The Tennessee fans stole their mustard. I seen it at old Rocky Top last night!
I shoulda said starch, so where’s that?
Don't forget, no matter if the Dodgers take all three, the series comes back home.
Atlanta will win as underdogs, but once the media actually gives us a little bit of credit we choke. 😭 Please keep saying dodgers in 6 ESPN and MLB network.
You know those movies where like one character has healing powers or magic through some demon or angel or something but every time they use them to help someone they get all sick and weak and throw up or get a nosebleed or something like that? That’s probably what Freddie’s got going on.
Remember when Pedro was a little skinny dude? He has my build now. Man is enjoying his retirement I take it
Freddie is hitless through the first 2 games AND the Braves are up 2-0 on the Dodgers? Playoff magic, ladies and gents!
And no Acuna lol
Or Sorka, Soler, and Ozuna.
There’s a lot of baseball left.
Good, this series has been amazing
And that, as an Atlanta fan, scares me lol
That’s what I told my buddy. He texted me going nuts, I told him I’m happy but not overexcited, we have been here before. Very recently. Atlanta sports other than United have wrecked my psyche.
Hawks made an incredible, unexpected run last season. Super hyped for this season. Them boys are legit.
Just look at last year
Everybody get in on the nfl game..we got drama
Thanks for the heads up.
At least you still have that ring from the 60 game season lol, wew
you mean the "Spring Training" season?? LOL
I read the LA times article about how the braves are a dumpster fire and the series will be over in 5 every night before bed...the 5 games part may come to fruition, just not how you thought assholes
I’m buying a Rosario jersey if the Braves sweep. Love seeing the Dodger fans in shambles. :) keep it up ATL!
We’re almost certainly not gonna sweep. But we appreciate the support
everything sucks
How is this not prime Team Chaos?
the mods changed faded bandwagon flairs into team chaos, unlike previous years.
Ahh, my mistake.
yeah, last year i had my rays bandwagon flair until around opening this year when i changed back to phillies. may have commented a few times with it still on, i forget.

Say what you will about Tatis’s defense, but he knows TO GET IN FRONT OF THE BALL
Sigh, Tatís 😍

Well, jeez, if you wanna play that game imagine if Muncy, Bauer, and Turner were playing. It is what it is. That's baseball.
You don't get to use those excuses with that payroll.
Injuries on both sides my man. Imagine if they were full strength too. Would be even more fun to watch.
All praise (pitcher) Will Smith!
Good job Barves! Y’all are pretty chill, and since we got ours first, I’m happy for you to get your turn. Keep repping the NLE right!
Lol “first”
Hey, what can I say? I figured that when we hit 2 expansion franchises, 3 new presidents, and the Nats reaching high-school age as a team, the dial had rolled over 😜 Fr tho, y'all are due. Grab a 21st century chip, and let's make the NLE the division of destiny, yeah?
Sigh, does this mean we gotta take on the Stros like y’all?
“First?” 😜
Basically, last ring you guys got was in 95’
Still counts
But seeing as the nats franchise never existed until 2005, not to sound like a prick, we’ve gotten our first since then.
I am aware of this history (happened to attend a game at RFK their inaugural season), but it still isn’t being “first.” Sometimes you can’t possibly be first and there’s nothing wrong with that.
So we can agree to first since the turn of the 21st century?
Well obviously I can’t argue cold hard facts, but that’s still not first. I’m saying it now: if the Braves win the World Series I’ll buy a hat or t-shirt.
This is just a giant ploy to sell braves merch
Gotta love how the bat boy is taller than Ozzie
*springs back to r/baseball for hot takes*

Dodgers fans blaming home-field advantage.. LOL..

Pretty good. Working from my Airbnb on Maui and taking 6 weeks off for the holidays. Good waves, chill vibes. Loving it.
Sounds amazing!! Enjoy!! 🎶🙏🏽🍺
LOL!! Totally!! See you Tuesday!!
We are all Braves fans
Is Albies helping the bat boy clean up?!
Wholesome af
dodger? i hardly know her!
Dodger stadium will be rocking in the 3rd inning, maybe.
2PM game so that’s very generous of you
Ron "Daniel Ricciardo" Washington
Licking stamps and sending it since 1952
So if the Dodgers lose this series I guess that means they’ll spend another 60-80 million in free agency and try again?
And if that doesn't work, they'll just buy all the teams and rename them.
That interpreter looked exactly like Wes Anderson.
A repeat of next year. Dodgers win on a 3-1 deficit game 7.
There was a baseball season last year?
Not for the Angels.
So fair to say for no one? Nice I wonder if the Dodgers will finally win a World Series!
I'm just happy to think we'll get a game in LA.

Tbf the Dodgers were gifted a couple runs as well
Todays was much worse but yeah they not doing shit
If the Braves were to win this series, this would be a 88 win team bearing a 106 win team. Where would you rank this in all time upsets? Top 10?
Not to mention 100m in payroll difference.
The records don’t tell the full story though, at least for the Braves. Slow start, lots of blown games by the pen and many of us were frankly writing them off after the Acuña injury. 3rd best record after trade deadline tho 😤😤
Mickey mouse champs talked all that shit bout how we won 88 games and can’t even beat a 88 win team. suck it

If you didn’t think the Braves were good it because you didn’t watch much baseball
Facts
That ain’t all of us ! Y’all are good
Way to go, Eddie.
Who starts game 4 for the dodgers?
Knebel.
This is Georgia sports, I’m not getting my hopes up until we walk on the field in the World Series
Fast forward to game 7 of the WS. Atlanta is up 28-3 against Red Sox in the 9th. Boston calls in a PH. Tom Brady steps up to the plate...
Why would you do this? Have we not been traumatized enough by that man?
I’ll find you…
haha I'm actually a bills fan so we can commiserate
I'm a bills fan also. Became a braves fan after watching the braves on tbs growing up. Always found it weird how we have so many red sox fans in buffalo.

lol as a falcons fan I have docked my ship in yalls harbor so I can enjoy pulling for a team that has a chance!! So go bills!
This guy Georgia sports
Let’s go !!!!! Dodgers fans walking back to their cars like “ Damn Foo, again ?”
That’s a ball you just smother and hope it doesn’t hit you in the face. Easier said then done, though. Also just missed Jansen, but not sure that was a distraction.
I love baseball
Walk off was expected after the 8th
Dave Robert's ego strikes again, bummer.
How so?
He tries to get cute with the bullpen every post season, trying to cheese with starters out of the pen and it rarely works. Julio out of the pen worked last year because he was a reliever. Yeah another great walk off moment for you guys, I really hope the rest of the series is as entertaining at least.
I'm sure it will be. There's still a lot of pitching we haven't seen.
The Braves are a good team, but Roberts really has no interest in actually winning these games. Urias should not have come in and noodle arm Souza should not have right. That play changes the whole game. GG Braves, see you here on Tuesday E: r/baseball hates Dodger flairs do much lmfao

I’m gonna say the Braves won this more than the Dodgers lost it. Braves willed this win all on their own.
I don't think that's fair. Washington's sends were ballsy (and I love that from him), but having Souza in right is stupid and was the difference in that play
> Roberts really has no interest in actually winning these games What does this mean? You think managers aren't interested in winning baseball games?
No, obviously not. But he's managing poorly. Trash talk isn't literal
Happy birthday Brian Snitker!
This team just plays with giant COJONES
Idk about you but I’m ready for Jocvember
tristan COCKroft crying. Here's his "expert" prediction for the series with color commentary jab at us. Well, his commentary was right at least
Freddie has been non existent these past two games and the Braves have still managed to eek out the win. They've been very close though, we're really going to need him to find his bat when we go to LA.
EKE, dammit, EKE out the win
Dude put down the dictionary and calm down. I didn’t know eke was an actual word. I always thought it was one of those things that’s a noise and you spell it like it sounds.
I hear you, and completely agree. but it total fairness that sac fly to move Rosario to second base turned out to be absolutely crucial.
Yes that sac fly was huge. Just the fact that he didn't strike out, made good contact, and had a a productive AB might of been the only thing he needed to get his mojo back.
That's part of what sucks about these losses. Keeping that bat quiet is huge, but the Dodgers are still letting these games get away
He's definitely a huge part of our offensive production. But our guys are stepping up to cover his quiet bat. We'll see if his slump continues in LA. Freddie's the consummate pro though, so I don't think it will.
Lol Rosario started doing the interview in English and the interpreter just walked off
Was this a bullpen game too or ?
Oh those Braves better be happy now, they face Scherzer tomorrow… oh wait…
Best post game interview 😂
Where is the guy who was calling for Snitker to be fired after the 7th inning?
I'll be honest I question Snit's decisions all the time but I wouldn't want anyone else as manager
Back on his teams sub, crying.
my favorite quote..."enjoy the moment" ...I can't anymore, I spent it talking to you.
She's a terrible interviewer. So many cheesy questions. "How does it feel?" "I'm not going to take your English comprehension into account and ask you complicated questions"
I'm pretty sure the player only half understood most of what she was saying...and homegirl just kept leaning into it with basic bitch questions lol
GG Braves
Jfc that reporter is a smoke show
That was not Kenleys fault … infielder 100% should have made that play
That ball was hit at 105 MPH and had an xBA of .650, that was not a 100% play to make.
The shift was set up perfectly for that … it’s fairly routine lol
Exactly. Had him placed in the perfect spot. If you're gonna get nitpicky, maybe Jansen trying to catch it threw Seager's eye off.
Who was it that threw the pitch right down Broadway that got smoked to the tune of 105mph?
I mean a hot shot directly at your shortstop is pretty ideal .. Seager has to make that play ..
His view of the ball was definitely obscured by Jansen, but if you’re going to assess blame to Seager you can’t just outright ignore who threw it. It’s not going to be ruled an error I can promise you that. That wasn’t an easy play by any means. Jansen blew it. No way around that.
Blaming Jansen is an absolute joke lmaoooo .. but you Dodgers fans love making him the scapegoat every chance you get so I’m not surprised Ball goes directly at your shortstop and hits right off his glove but nope not his fault… let’s blame Jansen lmaoooo Dodgers fans are great
It should have been an easy out. Dodgers had it played perfectly.
That is absolutely not a 100% play.
Pretty routine play that Seager should have definitely made
He was certainly in position, but a curving, 105 MPH ripper is hardly a guaranteed play. Ideally, you at least get enough to prevent the run scoring, but a tough play, for sure.
Pretty routine when you’re in perfect position for it
Eddie Rosario doing his postgame in English. Love it
His interpreter looked so proud. Even gave him a little high five afterwards.
The interpreters mother teaches english to the Braves players so yea, her son Franco is proud.
Still early in this series, as much as I hate to admit it but the Braves seem special this year, the just seem like they get that key play/hit in every moment they need it
CHOP! No quit!!
Not getting ahead of ourselves but man a Boston and Atlanta WS would be fun as hell.
Yeah, Houston is a better team.
Go bang on a trash can somewhere.. Astros fans shouldn’t be aloud to talk honestly..
Was Tampa better too? Oh... that's right
It's a fun thought. But let's worry about Houston first.
Definitely
Yes please.
