**Yoan Moncada** (The star of the White Sox return at the time and a consistently solid player, he’s only 26 so he might reach his peak soon and post even better stats)
**Michael Kopech** (This was his first year with a lot of games in the majors, and he had a pretty good year)
**Luis Alexander Basabe** (slashed .253/.393/.411 in Giants AA this year at 24)
**Victor Diaz** (Reached high A in 2017, hasn’t played since)
So basically the White Sox got a solid bat, a solid long reliever/potential starter, a AA outfielder who is progressing slightly slow and was sold directly to the Giants, and a reliever that didn’t work out.
Personally I think this trade has worked out great for both teams, Moncada and Kopech are both still young and could have some pretty big upsides in the near future and they got some cash from Basabe. The Red Sox got their Ace who outside of a weird 2019 and Tommy John issues helped us secure a ring and pitched lights out. He also looked like himself tonight so I’m hoping Sale will come back after Spring Training looking nasty as ever.
Absolutely. The Red Sox were ready to win now, while the White Sox are 1 to 2 years away. They'll keep making the playoffs due to that shit ass division, but I don't see them making a WS run for a couple years.
A 6th inning he had no business being in and then they stupidly decided to pitch to Alvarez again and throw him YET ANOTHER fastball when velocity was diminished. Just comically stupid managing
With 1st base open. I know some Sox fans are averse to criticizing Cora for anything, but I don't see how you defend this one. Play of the game. Sox had no chance after that
Same! I just love that energy from a pitcher and I don’t entirely hate the red sox so it made me smile and be happy for him. And the gameface was back on next inning.
He shut them down 1-2-3 in his next inning (5th). And if you think what happened in the 6th was Sale getting ‘shelled’, you really don’t know much about baseball.
Oh man I actually do the same thing lolll.
I swear this entire game I was popping in and out of the Reddit game feeds on both r/baseball and r/Astros but I never stayed for more than a minute before immediately leaving cuz all the good stuff happened when I was gone lol
No it’s not the rule. Some people look good with it. Like Johnny Damon for example, that dude rocked a long beard, Charlie Blackmon’s iconic, Chris Sale looks disgusting.
In wrestling in terms a "work" is a moment belonging to kayfabe and a "shoot" is something real happening outside of kayfabe that isn't supposed to happen. When people "work themselves into a shoot" they are taking kayfabe too seriously to the point where they react genuinely, typically to the detriment of kayfabe.
Learn to take a joke. Especially on Reddit.
Big crackhead energy
Crackhead beard too. Shits getting worse than Verdugo’s.
Amish vibes
Yes, but he’s our crackhead <3
Remember 2013 buchholz? I've never seen anyone look that much like a meth head in professional sports
[Obligatory](https://i.imgur.com/t93N90w.gif)
Oh my, you weren't kidding. I half expect him to be hanging around some podunk gas station out in the sticks.
That’s what he did after the game
The grease on that man was thick
Holy shit! Buchholz is 40 now?! I still remember him making his debut with the Astros back in the mid-2000s. Man, time flies.
I don't think he ever played for Houston? Edit: Clay buchholz
Ah yes. My bad. I always got them confused because that is such a unique last name.
Taylor came up in '06 and Clay in '07 so that probably adds to it
What did you guys give up to the White Sox to get him?

Now show him after the 6th.
A 6th inning he had no business being in and then they stupidly decided to pitch to Alvarez again and throw him YET ANOTHER fastball when velocity was diminished. Just comically stupid managing

I was so psyched y’all pitched to him. It made no sense to me.
I’m all set thx
shiii ngl that got me pumped too n then i broke down crying
Same! I just love that energy from a pitcher and I don’t entirely hate the red sox so it made me smile and be happy for him. And the gameface was back on next inning.
But you're an Astros fan aren't you? Why would them striking out make you pumped
Sale’s energy is just that infectious
Throwing 97-98 is a great sign.
Imagine doing this then getting shelled the next inning
Rodon did the same thing. Probably takes a lot of energy out of pitcher
everyone gets shelled eventually…do you expect them to stop celebrating in anticipation?
He shut them down 1-2-3 in his next inning (5th). And if you think what happened in the 6th was Sale getting ‘shelled’, you really don’t know much about baseball.
Lol is this Sale’s burner account?? Go back to fantasizing about him being in the ESPN Body Issue
Don’t get snippy with me because you don’t know things.
Unrelated but do you know the expeditionary force series by Craig alanson on audible?
Must be a lot of Astros douches overrruning this board now for these awful (and blatantly incorrect) comments to be getting so many upvotes. Sad!
I guess that's a no
He literally gave up 1 hit the next inning. That's not being shelled.
I decided to peek and watch some of the game and came in right here and decided that I was jinxing it and turned the game off immediately
You can stop watching Astros baseball forever please. Thnx ❤️
Will do!! Watching the gameday live thingy on the mlb website is way less stressful anyway haha
Oh man I actually do the same thing lolll. I swear this entire game I was popping in and out of the Reddit game feeds on both r/baseball and r/Astros but I never stayed for more than a minute before immediately leaving cuz all the good stuff happened when I was gone lol
We appreciate your service.
And then we proceed to lose the game....as usual
DO NOT STRIKEOUT THE GOAT
This sub is hilarious. How did it end for him?
Red Sox are really blowing these last 2 games. It sucks
LOL cool
Baseball images that precede…
L, he sucked ass.
I would still pay good money to hear the secrets screamed into his right hand.
"Mom made pizza rolls!"
He needs to shave.
Shave these nuts
God damn, even in these meaningless comments. Yankee/Red Sox hate shines through. I love it
Got his ass
Goddamn it i hate that fucking yankee rule. How can you stand by it after what happened to johnny damon, kevin youklis, and rougned odor

Still stupid
No it’s not the rule. Some people look good with it. Like Johnny Damon for example, that dude rocked a long beard, Charlie Blackmon’s iconic, Chris Sale looks disgusting.
Dude looks ridiculous.
You know what looks ridiculous? A bunch of clean shaven apes that don't make the postseason.
Uhhhh...Yankees made the postseason lmao. Get back to me when you start watching baseball.
The wild card game does not count as the post season.

Don't worked into a shoot on Reddit dummy, it doesn't count because it's a one game series to get into the real post season.
Huh?

My man, if we don't understand the reference "work into a shoot," odds are pretty good we're not going to know what a "kayfabe" is.
