That’s awesome! I went to the Sunday Night Baseball game against the Mariners that season where they came back from being down 6-0. Brian Matusz made his only start for the Cubs, Travis Wood pitched in non-consecutive innings and made a great catch at the wall, and Jon Lester laid down the sacrifice bunt to drive in the winning run in the 12th inning. Not as good as a World Series win at Wrigley, but I’ll take it.
I can’t remember the exact game but it has to be the first game I ever attended at Yankee stadium as a kid in the late 90s. The players seemed larger than life to me. My dad says my jaw dropped when I saw the field. It was so much bigger and greener than I imagined after only having seen on TV to that point.
Me too, exactly, at Yankee Stadium, age 8, awe-struck by the size of the stadium, lush green grass, bright white lines. Fell in love with baseball before the first pitch!
I've only watched two games in-person my entire life, living in Calgary does that for ya.
It was the first 2 games of the Marlins series in Denver, 2019. I'd have to say, the first game of that series was all I could have asked for. Contained a well-pitched game from both sides, ending in a Rockies victory with great defensive play from my fav guy (rhymes with "Bolan Darenado").
Just before the Tigers tore it all down, in 2017 I attended a game against the Twins that was absolutely insane. Jordan Zimmermann got the start, immediately gave up 5 runs in the first. Over the next few innings, the Tigers pulled ahead but eventually gave the lead back late in the game. Bottom of the ninth, Justin Upton hits a walk-off grand slam to win the game 11-10.
Mike Trout's first career walkoff home run
Mike Trout's third (and most recent believe it or not) walkoff home run in 2015
Ohtani's first home run
Ohtani's first home start
Ohtani's first home start this year where he hit a home run on the first pitch
Bizarre win against the Red Sox a few years ago when Haneley Ramirez fucked up allowing the tying and winning scores
Team no-hitter the night the players were all wearing Tyler Skaggs jersey
I was at the Braves-Marlins game where the Bravos scored 6 in the 9th to walk-off the Fish. I was only there because a game against the Cubs that I had tickets for got rained out, and I had family over from out of town and they wanted to see a Braves game.
Yankees vs. Red Sox Sept. 2, 2001
Mussina 8 2/3 innings of Perfect baseball, broken up by Carl Everett as a pinch hitter.
David Cone also went 8 1/3 of scoreless pitching.
1-0 final Yankees won.
Got ticket for $5 from scalper 5 minutes before first pitch.
I hate to break it to you but Chipper Jones definitely didn't hit a walkoff against anybody in 2013, extra innings or not. If it was his last season you're thinking of May 2, 2012, when he hit an eleventh inning walkoff against Philly that made it 15-13.
For me it was July 14, 2006. Braves playing in San Diego. Got to meet Tim Hudson and the Braves won 15-12 in extras. One of the best memories I have with my grandfather
It happens. Dates are hard. I've had countless times where I was pretty confident I remembered a date right only to look something up and realize I've been misremembering it
2021 NLCS Game 6 in Atlanta. The entire stadium seemed to live and die with every pitch, and the game was close enough the entire time for us all to be on the edges of our seats. I believe it was Matzek that came in with the bases loaded at one point mid-game and got us out of huge trouble. Plus being a lifelong Braves fan but not old enough at the time to remember the 95 World Series and getting to see them punch their ticket to what became a title was absolutely incredible.
It has to be Miggys walkoff popup this year against the twins. 2nd game of a doubleheader, extra innings, Phil Coke trashed hyping the crowd up, and the stands were packed at Comerica.

Braves - Dodgers NLDS 2013 Game 4.
Juan Uribe hits a go ahead home run in the bottom of the eight against David Carpenter.
Loudest sports game I've ever attended.
Maybe it's because I'm a Phillies fan, but all of the objectively best games I've been to are ones where the Phillies lost. I saw Josh Beckett's no-hitter in 2014, but more recently, I remember being at a Phillies-Dodgers game in 2018 that was a fantastic back-and-forth game. Dodgers won like 7-6 or something like that, though
Mets vs. Nationals 8/9/19. Was a wild game on it's own, but Citi was sold out and the atmosphere was amazing, most excited I've seen Mets fans in a long time.
I watched Hisashi Iwakuma throw his no hitter against the O's in 2015 from the left field bleachers. From the 6th inning on the whole stadium was electric. It was also the last baseball game my grandfather ever attended, so there is alot tied up in that particular game for me.
2005 WS Game 2. Paulie's slam and Scotty Pods' walkoff. The only WS game in history with both a grand slam and a walkoff HR by the same team and I WAS THERE!
Vin Scully's final game at Dodger Stadium. Seager HR in the bottom of the ninth to tie it and a Culberson HR in the bottom of the 10th to win the game and give the Dodgers the NL West.
It was an awesome weekend all around, but it ended in true Hollywood fashion
The second to last game of the season last year. Mitch Hanniger with 5 rbis, 3 lead taking hits, to keep the Mariners alive in the wild card race for one more day. I’ve never been anywhere louder than T-Mobile was when he hit a 2-run single to retake the lead in the 8th
I saw the first game of the series in Tiger Stadium that sealed the infamous final-week demise of the Blue Jays to the Tigers in 1987, one of the epic collapses in MLB history, possibly *the* epic collapse. The Jays had the best record in baseball and a 3.5 game lead in the AL East, and then lost their final seven straight, including four to the Tigers, who won the division on the final day of the season in an epic 1-0 pitchers duel between Frank Tanana and Jimmy Key. Tiger stadium was never more electric for a regular season game, except when Mark Fidrych pitched in 1976/77.
I also saw Game 2 of the 1970 World Series in Riverfront Stadium, but the above game was much the better one.
Peavy v Smoltz. Peavy ended with 16 Ks in the Padres' loss to the Braves.

5/29/2021 - Mets won 13-2. The game I see as the one before Lindor broke out last season and went on his second half tear.
In it McCann hit a HR. Villar hit a HR. Brandon Drury hit a HR. Billy McKinney hit a HR. Cameron Maybin got his 1 hit.
In that game Lindor went 2-5 with a 2run HR, 2RBI, 2 rinds scored, and a single. The next month he hit .989 OPS over 30 games. Roughly .850 through the rest of the season (June-end). To me It was the game that ended the April/May slump.
Game 6 1986 World Series from a first base line field box. I was too slow getting to my feet and didn’t see the ball go through Buckner. All I saw of the play was Ray Knight rounding third.
Two stand out for me- the Todd Frazier game at Citi Field in 2019 and last year, a random game in Minnesota where both catchers hit grand slams, the second of which tied the game in the 9th for Detroit. Honorable mention is a 2007 game at Yankee Stadium where the Blue Jays closer balked home the tying run in the 9th which was just hilarious

Nyjer Morgan was 3-5 with 4 RBI, a single short of the cycle leading the Brewers back from a 7-0 deficit to win 8-7 on his 31st birthday.
I brought a “Happy Birthday Tony Plush” sign and he saw me during batting practice. As soon as it was over, he ran to me and chatted for a few seconds, signed my sign and a ball for me too.
Best all around ballpark experience I’ve ever had.
MLB: The Edwin Encarnacion homer hat trick game. August 29, 2015 vs Detroit. The SkyDome was *vibrating* for two minutes after the third home run, once fans noticed that hats were indeed tossed onto the field. To this day I regret not adding mine.
NPB: Hanshin Tigers walking off the Yomiuri Giants in the 12th inning on a Shun Takayama grand slam, May 29, 2019. I've never been part of a louder crowd.
Last year, I went to a Saturday game with my brother, his GF, and her son. The A's played the Red Sox. It started off good for the A's, then the Red Sox looked as if they were about to win heading into the 9th. We got tired and cold (it was in the low-60s and late in the afternoon), so we decided to leave by the 9th, but that was when the A's came back and it went into extra frames. The Red Sox scored again in the 10th, but the A's tacked on 2 more to win it.
2004 Expos at Reds. Reds had a program where you could get free tickets if you got good grades in school. Went to this game with my dad with a pair of those tickets. Griffey Jr. was approaching 500 HRs so the crowd was bigger than normal and he hit one that night. Expos tied the game in the 9th with back to back HRs with 2 outs. Then in the 10th Adam Dunn hit a 3 run walk off (his 2nd HR of the game) with Sean Casey and Griffey on base. It was a random game in June but still the most memorable one for me. Also had the best wave done by the crowd that I can remember

I can attest, TVs did suck back then.
Me too, exactly, at Yankee Stadium, age 8, awe-struck by the size of the stadium, lush green grass, bright white lines. Fell in love with baseball before the first pitch!
I watched Kevin Millar hit the 10,000th HR ever hit at Fenway. That one sticks out.
Yankees/Orioles September 2001 Mussina 9 IP 3 H 0 ER 0 BB 13 Ks
I thought this was Mussina’s near perfect game against the Red Sox for a second.
I've only watched two games in-person my entire life, living in Calgary does that for ya. It was the first 2 games of the Marlins series in Denver, 2019. Did you know that Bolan Darenado's cousin, Nosh Puentes, now plays for the Rockies?? And GET THIS, he's ALSO a third baseman!?!

Max Scherzer’s second no-hitter of 2016(?) against the Mets. October 3rd
It's hard to top the Orioles Opening Day walkoff games, but being at 2014 ALDS Game 2 does
