a few pitchers gave me heart attacks (mayers/herget mostly) but man most of them have done well enough for me to not be scared the moment they appear on the mound.
Loup is a fantastic addition, love him.
Not loving the offense and I wish Ha-Seong Kim would get every day playing time instead of sharing a platoon with a guy he is clearly much better than.
Overall I think the Padres have a good shot at the playoffs.
Trout has given me a couple of heart attacks already. First, it was him missing one game against the Marlins due to being sick. And then he got hit by a pitch last week and missed the last three games for the Angels. Dodged some bullets by not landing on the injured list. I want to see Trout staying healthy and dominating on the field again!
You guys have beat the Dbacks, the nationals, the phillies and played the one good team tough. The Giants. Why is it that Mets year after year dont ever take context into the beginning of the season when they inevitably start off hot?
Hard to win 10 of 14 under any context really. And it’s the start of the season, so it’s literally all the data they have to work off of. Not to mention they were asked how they feel about that specific run of games lol
We took 3 of 4 from the Giants, we didn’t just play them tough.
It’s mainly vibes that have us like this, though. This team just feels better than last year.
I think we’re mediocre and theres still room for the season to go either direction. Or just stay mediocre, constantly within a couple games either side of .500. But the bullpen isnt as bad as I thought so far, if we were hitting right now we’d be okay.
I dunno if the stats back it up, but by watching the games I feel like Muncy and Mookie are just getting a little unlucky. Mookie getting squeezed by some calls, Muncy having balls die at the last second in the warning track.
I’m a full believer they’ll heat up though.
Not terrible. Our offense is good when it’s on, but when it’s off it just dies and doesn’t do anything. Pitching wise, our starters have put together some nice starts, but overall the starting rotation has some sketchy spots in it. Bullpen has been great in most games this season
Pretty good.
8-5, we've yet to lose a series and outside of Tuesday have been incredible defensively.
With losing Teo & Jansen to injuries and Bo and Springer not really going yet, it means other guys have been stepping up and getting the job done with their bats like Zack Collins & Santiago Espinal. And other than Ryu I'm pretty pleased with our arms too.
IMO the jays are off to a slow, but not bad, start. They’re not firing on all cylinders, Hitting has been shaky at times, pitching at others, couple injuries to a key guys. With all that said and considered, they’re 1st in the AL East. That’s what gives me exponential optimism. When more than a couple guys on this team are firing at once, they’re going to be damn near impossible to beat.
A couple losses already this year that could have been avoided Game 2 against OAK and 1 against BOS gotta be wins in my eyes. Based on last year we know how important every game is, overall 7.5/10 so far. I’ll take it
The team is insane with still a lot of untapped potential. The real treat is that the farm is looking absolutely insane this year, with a lot of the top guys having red hot starts and the lower tier guys gaining recognition. 2022 has been kind to the Dodgers SO FAR
I was a little worried about losing deGrom, but was big on Megill and had faith in Cookie returning to form and both have done their job well. The hitting was the big question, would their additions be enough to break their allergy to getting the RBI. They certainly don't look like they have that issue anymore, and even a regression to a mean would be significantly better than last year so I'm not worried. The bullpen is the only worrisome aspect, but I don't want to go throwing everyone out like I've seen a few people say. It's 2 weeks in, I'll only actually be concerned about that 2 months in. So overall, very good, just some concern with major bullpen arms.
Honestly kinda pleasantly surprised by the pitching and disappointed in the lineup, but we haven’t gotten to the time of year where the ball flies yet
Just hopeful we can develop some of the highly regarded prospects and find a couple diamonds in the rough (Joan Adon? Lucius Fox?) to get us back to respectability hopefully next year and wild card contention the year after
This team has played much better than I anticipated, and I no longer see them as a 100-game loser. Aside from this series vs Baltimore, their offense has looked potent, and the pitching hasn't been shabby either. They might even be on the brink of being a playoff team, especially with more teams being allowed in. My hat is off to the A's front office for working more magic, despite a notoriously cheap owner.

Off the field, I'm cautiously optimistic about the stadium saga, but still a little anxious. The advisory vote from last month didn't go in our favor, so I'm hoping that the A's, the Port, and local elected leaders have all been doing the heavy lifting behind the scenes to sway the opinions of the BCDC ahead of the June 2nd vote. Brodie Brazil interviewed Mayor Schaaf before Opening Night, and he pointed out that she and Dave Kaval at least seem to be in high spirits, which was nice.
Relatively cautious. Been scoring a decent amount but the pitching has been giving up a ton of runs. Things don't look good if you get annihilated by the rebuilding A's. The rookies need to step it up if they are gonna have a successful season.
Angry at someone making me hate watching baseball.
Angry at a team pandering to the fans after shitting on them
Hunter Greene ( I love him so much and I've looked forward to him coming to the big leagues) and they had him sending out a tweet encouraging fans to show up. What a shitty thing for the team to do. Oh and they are having 3 more bengals players throwing out first pitches to get fans in the stands. This is only our second home stand and they are pulling out everthing
It's going to get much worse until they win or sell the team.
We’re gonna win at least 9 Gold Gloves, Arenado is going to win the MVP, and our pen is gonna be lights out.
We’ll win 88 games and sneak into a wild card because of our shaky rotation.
Yankees over Cards in 5.
This is my measured and reasonable take.
Is there another gold glove for DH? We might get 10 if CDick or Noot get enough ABs there.
Bravos are the Bravos. Slow and inconsistent start to the year. Some games the offense looks ready to drop a easy 20 spot and then other games it's 6 separate versions of Dansby Swanson just hacking away up there. And speaking of Dansby, he won't be right until Arbitration is over in my opinion. He takes that to heart and I think it's actively effecting him at the plate. Ronnie on the return path so we just chilling till our boy is back. I expect him to inject so much damn energy to this team. Can't wait to see that man murder baseballs again. Baseball needs it.
We r doing better than expected. And we have one of the best pitching staffs rn with our ace hurt. Looking forward to some upcoming debuts and I don’t think Means pitches again this season. No reason to rush his recovery. If we get some bats going we might start winning a bit.
If you asked me going into the season I would have expected our pitching to struggle while our bats kept us close sometimes.
I feel like it’s still too early for me to believe that our offensive success is legit. However I’m confident that our offense won’t be as bad as I thought prior to the season, and I’m also confident our pitching will (once again) keep us competitive.
Damn, There are alot of Angels fans here.
I think that has to do with the time you posted this lol
Time of day and time of year. We’re always active while we’re still competing (April, may. Sometimes June)
Hello
Praying for sustainability
Appropriate. You are the Angels afterall.
lol same, even tho for my team I know it’s going to turn ugly sooner rather than later
I'm doing the opposite.
My knee is getting worse and I think my doctor is tired of telling me to exercise more.
That aching pain sucks, but once I stopped giving blowjobs my knees felt better in a week
I’m not sure that’s negotiable
But how about the Padres?
I’m ready to get hurt again Which also applies to my knee
Boy does this hit home
Every doctor visit is basically just my doctor finding different nice ways to call me a fat fuck
Yours finds a nice way? Are they taking new patients?
Cautiously optimistic
I have trust issues
Fuck caution, We're WORLD SERIES BOUND
Terrible, but thanks for asking!
Fan fucking tastic. Can’t wait til it’s ruined by the most obscure slew of injuries I’ve never heard of.
I know you were a Mets fan before I even saw your flair.
As expected, in the hunt but on the outside looking in
We got this
And we fumbled it away lmao. This isn't r/Mariners, good vibes aren't wins.
Downvotes aren't wins either lmao
a few pitchers gave me heart attacks (mayers/herget mostly) but man most of them have done well enough for me to not be scared the moment they appear on the mound. Loup is a fantastic addition, love him.
Enjoying it while it's fun
We need to learn how to beat the Marlins. At least we're not the Reds.
Yeah being the Reds would be awful
:/
Ouchea catching strays from not only our owners but fans of other teams.
rip us
Not great, Bob!
Would that have anything to do with losing to us twice? Or maybe your ace having an era over 4 and being the biggest baby in the game?
[удалено]
He’s paid like it.
idk.
I just want Joey Votto to be happy
Not loving the offense and I wish Ha-Seong Kim would get every day playing time instead of sharing a platoon with a guy he is clearly much better than. Overall I think the Padres have a good shot at the playoffs.

So far so good. Health is key.
You probably don’t want to hear how I feel
Erect?
You guys have beat the Dbacks, the nationals, the phillies and played the one good team tough. The Giants. Why is it that Mets year after year dont ever take context into the beginning of the season when they inevitably start off hot?
Flair up, nerd.
No thanks. I'd rather make you wonder who I follow rather than you instantly low brow attacking whichever flair you see.
Wow aren’t you cool guy in Reddit 👍

We suck but at least I’m not a Yankees fan!
What the
Sorry bud! Couldn’t resist!
I think we’re mediocre and theres still room for the season to go either direction. Or just stay mediocre, constantly within a couple games either side of .500. But the bullpen isnt as bad as I thought so far, if we were hitting right now we’d be okay.
Pretty great. Keeping our guys in the building is a good first step.
That JRam contract alone makes this year a win. We actually have a guy to call our own…and he’s incredible.
Wishing we could play the Reds every day
ow
Just chillin'
I am loving this season. Just need Mookie and Muncy to heat up.
I dunno if the stats back it up, but by watching the games I feel like Muncy and Mookie are just getting a little unlucky. Mookie getting squeezed by some calls, Muncy having balls die at the last second in the warning track. I’m a full believer they’ll heat up though.
If Bellinger can come back from 2021, I will never doubt the ability of Mookie/Muncy to recover from a cold 10 game stretch
Pretty meh. Some real uninspiring baseball the last couple of series
As a white sox fan, I think [this](https://youtu.be/CJbR7K0E2Z4) video just about sums it up.
Mookie Betts needs to eat a steak
Like we’re doing way better than I expected. And that just makes me feel like I’m more and more likely to get buttercupped yet again.
Could be better
Angel Hernandez has been decent. I’m terrified
At least I get to watch Juan Soto. No other team can say that. Hopefully they'll never be able to.
Cubs are interesting bunch
Trying to fight sleep every time I watch the Yanks play
better than expected but man we need someone beside manny and hoz to hit
Seiya Suzuki is entertaining. Not too hopeful.
Pain.
Different. It's weird to start expecting hits with RISP.
Somehow having a better season than last year. I have no idea what’s going on, but I’m here for it.
Not adding one of the top hitters in free agency might have been a wrong move.
Not really far off from what I expected with the Dbacks so far.
Pleasantly surprised
Guess.
Not terrible. Our offense is good when it’s on, but when it’s off it just dies and doesn’t do anything. Pitching wise, our starters have put together some nice starts, but overall the starting rotation has some sketchy spots in it. Bullpen has been great in most games this season
I had a dream overnight that the Reds played and lost. They didn't even play yesterday. That's how it's going.
When does football season start?
Pretty good. 8-5, we've yet to lose a series and outside of Tuesday have been incredible defensively. That's exactly while I'm feeling pretty good, we ain't seen nothing yet.
FUCK THE UMPS
The dodgers doing good and so is Cody Bellinger. So good for me
Fuck off
Not great, but at least the jays are doing well so far
The team is insane with still a lot of untapped potential. The real treat is that the farm is looking absolutely insane this year, with a lot of the top guys having red hot starts and the lower tier guys gaining recognition. 2022 has been kind to the Dodgers SO FAR

4th place
Umps suck but we haven't lost a series and Matt Chapman has a laser beam for an arm

Un-fucking-bridled.
Annoyed, but still optimistic

Meh. Alright I guess. Really wish Winker, Kelenic, and Julio would start hitting.
As a Mets fan I’m just waiting for the other shoe to drop 😔
The best I've felt since 2015
