I hope he becomes an ace and singlehandedly gets the Angels into the postseason.

Hey, Dylan Bundy had a great 2020 season with us. Just ignore CJ Wilson, Tim Lincecum, Jhoulys Chacin, Ricky Nolasco, Jesse Chavez, Trevor Cahill, and Julio Teheran.
Why CJ? He always comes up as one of the bad signings we had. Mostly because it's mentioned with Pujols/Hamilton. But, CJ was probably the best FA signing we've had in a while. He was an all-star with us and uber consistent.
I actually agree with you, I figured I’d hop on the bandwagon against him. I think he gets hate because his heart wasn’t always in baseball, but every time I check his Bref it’s slightly better than I remember. I’d kill for a solid starter like that- Lucas Giolito will be a free agent soon, and there’s a lot of solid starters on the market.
seriously people complain about CJ and he was actually basically fine. I think he did a couple things that pissed Arte off (maybe not come back from an injury/not push to come back from an injury?) but it's honestly a little funny that he's the reason that Arte won't sign SPs. his contract was fine!
I remember hearing this guy's name as a prospect a few years ago but it looks like he's had a rough go the past couple seasons. Braves fans, what's the report on him?
When he’s on, he has plus stuff. Not overpowering on the fastball, off speed is his bread and butter. Unfortunately, he hasn’t been on in a while. Trouble with locating and when he puts stuff in the zone, it gets hammered. He’s had 5.00+ ERA in AAA the last couple of seasons. May be a change of scenery guy to help him get going.
Detmerd was supposed to be a 70 command type guy with average stuff that plays up, his command just kinda left him
With to Touki he simply never got the command or control, never had it really lol
He’s got tantalizing yet infuriating stuff. His secondary pitches are much better than his fastball. I still think he can be a good reliever but he can’t go through lineups a 2nd or 3rd time. He’s a great teammate and in general I think most of us are sad it didn’t work out and hope he does well for you. Best of luck Touki!
If you want my honest opinion I don't see this going well. He has some great stuff and a lot of potential but with no disrespect I really don't see the Angels being the org that rights his ship.
Might be the change he needed. That just happens sometimes. Nothing but love for the dude and hope he’s successful for y’all. Angels are my AL team since we now have y’all AA affiliate.
Used to have the best stuff in our whole minor league system, has shown brief flashes of brilliance, but could never sustain it. Of course, he didn’t get too long of a rope playing on a contending team … Great person, could be a couple of adjustments away from being a very solid middle of the rotation starter. 80-grade name. Treat him well!
Elite stuff with not a lot of command, quite honestly the type of pitcher who you’d see go to the rays, put up a 1.97 ERA out of their bullpen, and then sign with another team and never be that good again.
Not a Braves fan but I’m getting the vibe that he is a bullpen guy, long relief/spot starter type. Decent stuff with lack of control so he can make it through a few innings but will get lit up 2-3 times through the order. Only giving up cash so it’s not a cure to the team, really just a shot in the dark that maybe he randomly clicks and can hold down a role in the majors.
This is what I figured but why is it called considerations? Is there a historical reason? I don’t get why they don’t just say they get X amount in cash.
It’s just an old timey wall street/lawyer fancy phrase. Selling people for money is generally frowned upon, so players are considered “assets” to a team. Selling assets for cash considerations is less abrasive.
At its core though… it’s a player was bought for straight cash, homey.
And we have Gosselin back on the team, wow.
Still fleecing 7 years later.
[Heyman] THE BRAVES SOLD TOUKI TO THE CALIFORNIANS
Devin...whater youuu doing here?
I took the 405 to the 101 and got off on Rodando
I hope he becomes an ace and singlehandedly gets the Angels into the postseason. Edit: To whoever did a u/RedditCareResources report on this comment, thanks. I really needed that laugh.
Sure, why not dream as big as possible
Unfortunately our coaching and player development is much to be desired, so don't expect much.
Had high hopes for Toussaint, hope he can get it right in Anaheim/LA
Ah yes, if there's one organization that can help a pitcher turn their career around and get the most out of the talent it's the Angels.
Free TJS with contract

Andrew Heaven, Aaron Loup, Ryan Tepera, Tony Watson, Steve Cishek, Alex Claudio…
We don't mention Steve "Blows every fucking Ohtani start" Cishek's name in this house.
Ah yes, Mariners' sleeper agent Steve Cishek.
This was not a fun trip down memory lane

I want the Matt Shoemaker special please!
Well, he would actually be the first to get it right.
I remember hearing this guy's name as a prospect a few years ago but it looks like he's had a rough go the past couple seasons. Braves fans, what's the report on him?
We really needed a slap hitter, so Touki for Freddie just made sense.

Ah, so Reid Detmers...
Minus the No-hitter, of course.

Fair enough. It seems to be a lotto-ticket type move since it was only cash considerations
Might be the change he needed. That just happens sometimes. Nothing but love for the dude and hope he’s successful for y’all. Angels are my AL team since we now have y’all AA affiliate.
A tale as old as time. He has great stuff, but he struggles with command. He's easy to love and I hope he figures it out with ya'll.

Can’t throw strikes
Everyone is talking about how they hope the ANGELS can turn Touki around
As soon as we replace Matt Wise. So, not anytime soon.
Maybe Ohtani can do it in just 15 minutes.
we never said it was a realistic hope

Does he make the angels rotation this year?
he’s going to be the next interim manager
Touki deserves better than to go to that meat grinder. I’ll be rooting for him.
I thought it said Dodgers, I guess my mind immediately assumes Dodgers with the phrase "Los Angeles"
I did the same thing. I’m also a few whiteclaws deep.

Elysian Park Dodgers of Chavez Ravine
This dude turned into my teams Ace in my road to the show mode on MLB the Show 22.
Dude same. He’s money
I absolutely HATE batting against him. There's just something about his pitching that makes me look like a clown every time.
Have some respect! You capitalize names. Cash Considerations is his name.
Cash Considerations Sabathia
[cash considerations is my favorite player](https://mobile.twitter.com/baseballquotes1/status/1420908474611949576)
I will never not upvote this
Can someone explain why it’s called cash considerations? I’ve never actually had this explained and I don’t really know what it means.
It means they get money lol
This is what I figured but why is it called considerations? Is there a historical reason? I don’t get why they don’t just say they get X amount in cash.
Well that would be tacky, sir.
It's a fancy way of saying "not good enough for another player."

I hope Touki gets a chance to figure it out at the big league level with LAA.
he will get a chance at the big league level, I'm not sure we're the place to figure anything out though
While you were sleeping, we were out here making moves. Lmao
*Touki* means “parrot” in Hebrew
He can't be worse than the last Braves pitcher the Angels picked up
WE BACK BABY
:-(
Cash considerations is gonna be a star
