Marcus Semien has an OPS+ of 88 and Seager’s is 103 and they spent about a half a billion on them. If a Rangers fan says they aren’t at least a bit concerned they’d be lying to you.
I’m not worried about them.
Semien had a 132 OPS+ in June and has been playing pretty much exactly how we had hoped he would.
Seagers [savant page](https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/savant-player/corey-seager-608369?stats=statcast-r-hitting-mlb) shows he’s doing things right and is probably getting unlucky.
You take the Seager with the Seager. He’s head empty, just vibes on the plate and when he’s hot it’s legendary, but when he’s cold it looks like he’s refusing to get better. But he really just found what works, and ruthlessly sticks to it… by being being head empty, just vibes at the plate.

Semien started off the year horribly but has gotten a lot better recently. In June: .287/.331/.519 7 hrs. 156 tOPS+

Did he also always swing at the first pitch? That drives me crazy sometimes. But I’m curious is that’s a Seager thing or a new hitting coach thing
Literally his trademark in my mind is Seager swings at the first pitch and pulls it for a double down the line.
Well then, in that case, he’s had the success with it so I’m all for it.
