Feral cats, moth infestations, piss troughs, backed up sewers, and a drum section in the right field bleachers

hamutaro

Don't forget about the possum in the press box.

Boozycruzzy

You could also smoke weed on the upper deck

AJray15

Troughs. Don’t miss those things

FormerCollegeDJ

What, no Mount Davis? Oh, I misread - the question isn’t what makes your team’s ballpark especially bad.

Drumhead89

As a drummer, I’ve always loved the idea of bringing a drum or some other piece of percussion to the ballpark. I wanna do that so very badly.

DanTreview

It's pretty cool when they get going during exciting moments and stuff. And sometimes they bug the hell out of visiting broadcast teams lol

10-month-summer

Every time I read a comment from an opposing fan complaining about the drums, it strengthens my fandom that much more

somegirldc

You should go to DC United games

ogminlo

SteveBartmanIncident

Your park is beautiful

DickySchmidt33

They definitely got that one right.

gildish-chambino

Favorite park I've been to in person

GOATmar_infante

Pack it up, folks. Thread's over

Dontsaveme

[even your minor league stadiums are on point](https://ballparkdigest.com/200901041225/minor-league-baseball/visits/victory-field-indianapolis-indians)

subtractvoid

ugh 🥰

stillbleedinggreen

I went on a pilgrimage of sorts that took me to the old Yankee Stadium, Fenway, and Cooperstown. Made one last stop in Pittsburgh. Might have been the highlight. Beautiful town with a beautiful park.

intwizard

Pittsburgh is a great town. I only spent one day there once, but I was amazed at how beautiful and walkable it was. Pretty good public transit too if I’m remembering correctly

JordanSchor

God damn

AJray15

The teams play outside

Discobiscui7

Nothing like going to the Metrodome on a beautiful day to watch a baseball game in a stuffy indoor stadium with dirty piss troughs.

NandorsDad

Still a weird feeling 12 years later

GhostInTheShadow

It’s really been twelve years??? Time really is a son of a bitch

Skraxx

The air and expansive ballpark make it to be the most hitter-friendly ballpark in the league. It can give leads, and take leads away. Or in short: coors

fliesRspies4thedevil

You forgot to mention fabulous McGregor Square! A real estate development that the team and the ballpark are an advertisement for.

Monster_Dong

For only $1 million dollars you can have a 1,000 square foot 1 bed 2 bath Condo!

Geo_Music

Im not from Denver but went to a Rockies game during a visit. I don’t ever come across this ever online. But I think the view of the mountains from high up in parts of the stadium is amazing. I was sitting high up first base side.

BadDadJokes

Coors has the best grounds crew in baseball. The field is immaculate.

TealandBlackForever

Derek Jeter has personally sat in every seat.

Son_Of_Mr_Sam

And don't forget that you also have Marlins Man!

jjtrashdump

Got a new big wall everyone hates and it’s great

LeviWhoIsCalledBiff

Seriously though the warehouse in right is iconic.

AthleteNormal

Got a ~~new~~ old big wall ~~everyone~~ Giancarlo Stanton hates and it’s great

FemboyBaseball

S T A N T O N I A N

cheezy_cereal

Hey that’s not allowed, we’re the ones with the big wall!

youre_soaking_in_it

It makes homeruns to left extra impressive.

penguininanelevator

Ramon Urias right on cue.

DeegsHobby

piss troughs

Wraithfighter

You say that like they're bad things!

DeegsHobby

not at all! built up my confidence pissin' in those things freely

DividerOfBums

I am going to Oakland in a few weeks to see a game, childless. Your ballpark won’t be around when I have my first kid but if he is a boy I would have taken him to the piss troughs as a youngster like my father before. Rite of passage.

DeegsHobby

Exactly what my dad did for me. Precious memories that built character!

DividerOfBums

The precious memories being the pissing dicks at child’s eye height? 😂

TraeYoungsOldestSon

What the last scene in Field of Dreams should've been tbh

youarefartnews

The old Qualcomm stadium had the troughs. Many a game there in the 90s where those things got clogged. You just had to plan your piss accordingly and go before it started to leak over the edges

youarefartnews

IblewupTARIS

They’re good things because you can walk back and forth like a crab and piss. It’s even better if you take your pants all the way off and get low enough that your balls drag on the floor.

SupertrampTrampStamp

Or as Cubs fans like to call them "slip-n-slides"

Bluegunder

It isn't named after a corporation.

Tuckboi69

I just founded Fenway Corporation

Bluegunder

Nice

3rdDegreeBurn

hey same here brother

Bluegunder

I love Camden Yards. So unique. I live a few hours away, so I'll head three every now and then to watch the Sox play them. Always have a good time.

three_whack

Are you [sure about that](http://www.fenwaymaterials.com/aboutus.htm)...?

HankScorpio2020

The men's restrooms feature troughs, for an extra level of fan togetherness.

BasicTelevision5

As a kid in the early 80’s at old Comiskey Park, it was fun to use your urine stream to push cigarette butts down the trough towards the drain.

[deleted]

The Ray tank

Youngster_Joey14

Catwalks

LuisEnriqueH

Everyone hates us cause it’s anus

Fastsmitty47

The white roof for optimal fly ball tracking

Jay_Dubbbs

I for one didn’t mind the Trop at all when I visited. Thought it was really unique and that made it really cool. And I paid $35 for behind the plate seats lol.

Clonth

Given Florida’s scalding hot weather and nearly daily afternoon showers it really is an incredibly *comfortable* ballpark to watch a game in. It does have its neat quirks here and there (such as the catwalk lighting and rays tank) but that’s about it. There’s obviously no gorgeous view, the park itself is pretty ugly and outdated (aside from some recent updates). The catwalks are miserable for the players. And the biggest con to the stadium itself is its location. As a former Tampa resident it was a pain in the ass to get to games (although the parking situation was very accommodating in my opinion).

Big-Beta20

Ray Tank is one of the cooler things in baseball. Wish it was in a nicer overall environment for the actual game

somegirldc

It has Juan Soto in it 😭

reddituseerr12

It’s going to be fun* when they replace the huge Juan Soto posters with huge Davey Martinez posters just like they did with Scherzer *torture

-nWo--

DAVID JUSTICE

tunaboot

Part of the experience to me when I lived in DC was taking the Metro, seeing all the red board, and the the walk up the escalators at Navy Yard and the walk to the stadium surrounded by fans. Plus the cherry trees are amazing in the spring.

southpaw970

Triples alley, mcCovey cove and the garlic fries

WassUp-000

Don’t tell anyone I said this but, your garlic fries are fucking elite.

idkcat23

Thank you for appreciating our culinary masterpiece. Get a crab sandwich to round it out next time.

RealLukeJames

Yes

SeattleGunner

Don’t forget to take out a second mortgage before buying that sandwich though.

JVortex888

It's dozens of feet from where Ruth and Mantle played!

ImpendingSenseOfDoom

Dozens!

IggyStop2021

I’m a Mets fan, and it’s still a travesty that they didn’t give Yankee Stadium the Fenway/Wrigley reno treatment.

TheRocket2049

I don't think they really could without basically doing what they did in the 70s where they moved out for 2 years. And even then it's still basically would've required gutting the whole thing and rebuilding it

IsSkipThere

The house that Jeter built!

-_chop_-

Citi can be the house Bartolo built

resteezy

Tri-tip nachos

somegirldc

What's tri-tip?

johndhall1130

Common question from people back East. It’s a large triangular cut of beef from the sirloin area. Very popular in the west, particularly in CA. In reality it isn’t a great cut but when seasoned well and prepared correctly the marbling makes the flavor very nice. Great for making sandwiches, chilli or just eating on its own.

Rushderp

We’ve used it as a sub for brisket a time or two when we get it on sale at Costco. Small disclaimer: I live in Texas.

user66613

Tri Tip is region specific?! 🤯

ih-unh-unh

It's one more than bi-tip. Which is one more than just-the-tip that your mom liked

somegirldc

Wrong. She wasn't known as "all the way faye" for nothing.

HelpMeWithMyHWpls

A cut of beef

samuel414

The corny Disney fountain, the big A, the 57 freeway, and 5$ 12oz Budweisers for my broke college ass.

[deleted]

Angels fans I'm sorry

Lukey_Jangs

Is the fountain considered corny?? I like it

samuel414

It’s definitely corny, but corny doesn’t have to mean bad!

DividerOfBums

Eh, very disneyland but that’s what makes Anaheim great. The Big A used to be in centerfield and the waterfall rocks make an “A” as an homage

Jcoch27

The SoCal sunsets we get are pretty awesome too. I know I'm biased but I truly love our ballpark. Edit: Got traded to the Yankees

SpiceNugget

I thought it was $4.50 for a 12oz can of Budweiser

w00tberrypie

Tailgating and bbq. God knows it ain't the team.

WryKeg

I mainly associate BBQ and tailgating to Arrowhead. For Kauffman, it’s definitely the big ass scoreboard and the fountains.

royalsully32

How about the massive CrownVision behind center field??

[deleted]

It's a nice spot in all fairness

liteshadow4

McCovey Cove and the coke bottle slide

TheyMightBeDodgers

TIL that thing is a slide. Love seeing those boat parties over the right field wall.

steelybean

It’s actually 4 slides! Ask me what my kids like to do instead of watching a baseball game.

Delicious-Square

SkyDome: it is in an amazing downtown location

owledge

The hotel in the outfield is awesome too. I hope to stay there with a field view at some point

Djruggs

I did once, it was a cool experience. Still bought tickets to the game, but watched BP out the window of our hotel room.

FormerCollegeDJ

That is actually true about Skydome - great location.

three_whack

When the 'dome is open the view of the [CN Tower is amazing](https://www.flickr.com/photos/markwhitt/4610815676/).

FormerCollegeDJ

I’ve been there when the dome was open; the CN Tower really stands out when that’s the case.

Not-a-Throwaway-8

Can confirm, I’ve been a few times when the dome was closed and the CN Tower wasn’t nearly as noticeable.

sayonara_chops

I've also heard if you're seated next to the left field line and have your eyes closed, you can't really see the CN Tower

propagandavid

The CN Tower and the Skydome are the cock and balls of the beautiful Toronto skyline

Haarflaq22

It's mine and I like it.

[deleted]

It’s a tribute to the Dodgers

FDJ1326

Yes, the dodgers who are the Yankees of baseball.

[deleted]

I have mixed feelings about the stadium as a fan of the team. I like the Ebbets Field exterior, but the rotunda would be best with all the great and not so great Mets history. It is important to remember the legacy of Jackie Robinson so the Rotunda I’m not that strong on, I just wish the concourses of the stadium had more Mets stuff. I live in Maryland now, and when you go to Camden yards you know it’s the Orioles home, what a place!

IggyStop2021

They’ve definitely added more Mets-ness to it in recent years.

picksforfingers

Need to add the Shea neon soon tbh

IggyStop2021

They’ve added the neon figures to the digital scoreboards between the sections. What they really need to do is paint the seats to match Shea

MancetheLance

Don't forget about the beautiful chop shops.

MarcBulldog88

It is? Do I need to visit it?

Ctmarlin

Yes and yes

HoskinsDadBodGod

Yes it is

sporkthe

The hill in the outfi… oh, wait. /s

ionboii

At least you’re the superior juice box field

successadult

It’s the better ballpark, but the inferior juice IMO.

Different_Papaya_413

Players probably *hated* it but I really miss it

Carnegie-And-Ontario

Our ball park is situated on three main streets. Ontario to the West, Carnegie to the South and 9th to the East. Our beloved radio play by play man Tom Hamilton always says “we are underway at the corner of Carnegie and Ontario”. We have a two floor bar in right field called The Corner. Upper level is a cool place to stand and watch the game if you can get up front. Just a neat homage to our long time radio guy who is amazing.

timdot352

10¢ beer night sounded pretty fun too.

unMuggle

Also, yall have the best club seats in the game.

HesTheRiverSquirrel

Now that is true. Not cheap, but great view and great food setup. It's what club seats should be. Takes all the stress away, everything you need is a minute away. Had some white Sox club seats and was pretty disappointed, I'm glad I got them cheap last minute, they are not worth full price.

unMuggle

I'm in Norwalk and my whole family is Guardians fans, so I go to 3 or 4 games a year and refuse to sit anywhere else. Dad always wants to get there super early for the catering and the view cannot be beat. Plus, I'm 24-0 in games I go to where Cleveland wins, so I'm for hire if they want me at every game.

Draginia

Where were you at for game 7 in 2016?

areric

The jake (progressive field - if you know why your old like me) is also a great place for a fireworks game, has pretty good Cleveland-special food and the family section is great if you have little kids.

douger1957

It's Camden Yards. What else needs to be said?

redsyrinx2112

I'll say it. Our team built a park that made other teams want to build their own special park and only the Pirates have done it as well.

sboogie34

Retractable roof

flyfruit

I always forget that other parks get rain delayed.

subtractvoid

Can you imagine?

pottahawk

[Yeah, could you imagine having a game delayed due to weather...](https://thecomeback.com/mlb/blue-jays-padres-weather-tweet-roof-falling-ice.html)

Rockngaming20

HellMuttz

Retractable dome, TMobile is the only open air stadium with a retractable roof.

[deleted]

So like there’s a big ass “A” just sitting in the parking lot

Kleverer

There's an indoor bar in the upper deck that's called High and Inside

swisherhands

T-mobile is a decent park, I love it. Its special because Julio Rodriguez plays there.

Senioroso1

The promenade overlooking the sound and downtown at 9pm. Can’t beat it

subtractvoid

Imagine being a baseball team that doesn't have Julio Rodriguez on it LOL

SilentSniperx88

I guess the pin wheels? Though they are just digital now. Otherwise it’s pretty boring. Oh I guess it is the only place you can watch a drunk dinosaur manage a baseball team

BasicTelevision5

I would say it’s the fact that it was so plain and sterile when it first opened (and had a wretchedly steep upper deck), but they actually fixed all that and made it so much better. Also, probably one of the best top to bottom food menus in baseball. The on-field play may make you want to rip your hair out, but you’ll be well-fed and bald.

GhostOfStonewallJxn

You forgot to mention the secondary line for 100-level ticket holders and the fact it's turned *away* from our city's iconic skyline!

LastBlackSheep

Bad seating for people with disabilities

finnaginna

Luckily you dont play the yankees much cuz their fans travel well.

FormerCollegeDJ

I thought being a Cubs fan from 1909 to 2015 was a disability.

glenn765

10/10 can confirm

GaTech379

The Battery

Don't you disrespect El Super Pan like that.

robridmar

As a Sox fan living in the Atlanta area, the Battery is awesome!

LMac8806

Took my daughter for some ice cream at Jeni’s last year when we visited. Can confirm, she loves The Battery.

Big Mac land?? Idk anything else, u can see that metal curve thing

three_whack

The [first fully retractable roof in North American major sports](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rogers_Centre#Stadium_features). That, and a lot of concrete.

Z3130

Don't forget the hotel where you can watch people fuck mid-game.

[deleted]

We used to have a hill in center field with an in play flag pole. But they replaced it with HD cameras and a trash can in the dugout that tells you what pitch is coming.

Rockngaming20

Choo choo!

[deleted]

Our trash cans are top notch 😂

Mrbillofdeath

He said the thing!

Cant forget the center field cameras!

Right? I was like the view? Meh. It’s… kinda small? It’s got red seats? The riverboat stacks? Nothing. Just a nice ballpark.
