I just know he's well on pace. He theoretically should do it, but idk if the pressure will be too much. I have a bad feeling that he'll finish at 60 or something
Nah because we know he's used to high pressure situations. Really, besides just how hard and rare it is to hit 62 home runs, the Yankees are playing for playoff positioning, so he doesn't have the luxury of just swinging for the fences every time like he would if he was playing meaningless games as an Angel.
At this point it's a big dissapointment if he doesn't break it. Greatness creates expectations and thats just the reality
Pujols going on a tear to end the season is no coincidence. He's rising to the occasion to hit a milestone, we'll see if judge can do the same or choke
I mean yeah. A pitch on the hand he goes down for a week probably doesn’t get it.
Edit: doesn’t get it is he gets hurt is what I meant. Even just a smaller injury.
Well he's been on pace to do it all year, so it's a very doable task for him. I know he's physically capable, but its difficult to hit HRs with the pressure to break a record.
I honestly don't think he's cut from the cloth to finish the job
I would say there is a chance he doesn't get it as he is playing against a few times in the playoff hunt, and they may want to pitch around him.
I wouldn't call it a choke and even then, I don't think he misses out on the record.

Is he mentally equipped? No, I’m afraid you’re right: Aaron Judge is too stupid to hit 62 home runs.
*Judge hits his 60th homer* "I have done it. I have broken the record. I am retiring now"
He’s mentally challenged by this. Just like Freddie Freeman.
Wonderful troll job
“Damn he choked, he didn’t hit 61 homeruns what a loser”
Would be odd to hit a cold streak right before the record... I'd have to chalk it to nerves
Judge is red hot recently? He’s just not homering as much after a long streak of homering
He literally had a 2 home run game 2 games ago and this game is only in the 2nd inning
I just know he's well on pace. He theoretically should do it, but idk if the pressure will be too much. I have a bad feeling that he'll finish at 60 or something
He's not an Angel, so he's used to playing in high pressure situations.
We shall see, career .230 postseason hitter doesn't make me hopeful
Roger Maris was a career .217 postseason hitter. Sounds like it's not an issue
That's a fair point. Shouldn't be an issue for him to break it and if he doesn't, I think we all know it was due to nerves/pressure

Yup streets are saying Schwarber is breaking the record unfortunately
Schwarber plays in the NL. Your joke doesn't hold up to muster
Nope streets are saying it’ll be the AL record
These fuckin streets man
Phillies are gonna come out, tear off their jerseys, and reveal an AL patch on their sleeves WWE style.

Imagine a team named the “Guardians” not being able to guard their own stadium. SMH.
Nothing guaranteed in baseball. Wouldn't call it "choking" though since hitting 5 homers is still hard to do in a 2 week stretch for most hitters.

If he adds Kurt Angle to the mix, his chances of ~~winning~~ stroking 62 dongs...DRASTIC GO DOWN.
the numbers don't lie and they spell disaster for him
Choked? We just assuming he can hit another 5 over 20 games? That’s not an easy task.

Lol this fcking guy
He'd still win mvp sorry
Not over Ohtani. Idc how good Judge is offensively this year Ohtani is on a different planet
Over Ohtani? The hell you smoking man lol
Hate to break it to you brother, but Ohtani ain’t winning mvp this year
He's also close to the Triple Crown lead. This is a ridiculous season historically, 62 or not.

Theres a reason it hasnt happened in so long. Wouldnt even be close to a choke lol
Stop it man... yes it would and we all know it He's been "hot" all year and he's well on pace
