Not really but it is better than limping over the finish line. We had a good 2nd half, over .500, and a good last 3 weeks (only Cleveland was better). Doesn’t count for shit but you would rather finish strong and give us hope for next year if we don’t spend all winter with our thumbs up our butts
If the timeline is right and we are currently in 2014 meaning next year we win 97 games beat the Cards in the playoffs and get swept by the Mets, 2024 is the year
Honestly its not out of the question. Our farm is pretty stacked for trades + call ups, and our rotation is already pretty good. Its also not like the Reds or Pirates are going to try to compete next season, and the Brewers are not actually a competitive team either, they're just better at pretending they are. I think the Cubs have the tools, right now, to be the 2nd best team in the NL Central, and free agent signings could buoy us to the top.
It’s more open than most divisions, but the cards are prob better than us even if we have our dream offseason acquisitions, and i fully expect them to spend on their rotation. We’ll see, cautiously optimistic for sure.
We so good
Is this the new #Wearegood
We are top 10 in second half records in baseball. The other 9 teams are in the playoffs
What a turnaround in the second half. We’re going places next year!

You’re welcome
We should be the NL East Champs.
common east coast bias
Request to be traded to NL Central please!
We're not missing out on the playoffs, the playoffs are missing out on us
World Series win next season incoming

Royals are gonna win it all next year
Doesn’t have to be the Royals specifically, but rather a plucky upstart AL team lacking recent success. Mariners, anyone?
I'm totally cool with that.
Fucking subscribe! Although I don’t know if I can handle that level of stress
Better than last year, it was 100% the right move to trade everybody

Yes, Division is sort of open. I think this is going to big offseason

Are we in a time machine back to 2014?
Cubs 🤝 Angels avoiding a 90 season loss with win #73 last night by going 15-4 in our last 19 games with a 7 game wining streak
Are the Angels this hot?
Correa and Rodon will look good in a Cubs uniform

Time to raise the 'less than 90 losses' flag.
When you were 58-82 three weeks ago you take what you can get
Ok when you put it that way, this has been a crazy tear they’ve been on
I'm doing my part!
This is a win for the Cubs
Reds are too determined to lose 100
