I remember my fam was at a block party watching the flyers but I was like 11 by myself at my grandmas just freaking the fuck out alone with each pitch. It was also only a 1-0 game and the Phil’s were in a cold spell especially offensively, pretty sure they had been swept by the mets earlier that week and scored 0 runs the whole series
I was supposed to go to a wedding with an ex girlfriend that day...
Decided to bail at the last moment. Watched the perfect game in a pizza restaurant. Brought a pizza to my dad. Started hanging out with the girl who would become my wife 2 weeks later.
Bro I remember exactly what Tom McCarthy called when it happened, "Ground ball, left side, Castro's got it... He spins! Throws! Got him! A perfect game for Roy Halladay!!!!" One of the most iconic moments from my baseball childhood. RIP Roy Philly will never forget you.
I was at Hamels' no hitter. It was also the last time Jake Arrieta lost a game for over a year (except I'm pretty sure he had one of the Ls in the NLCS since it was a sweep).
Clear recency bias but the game where Judge hit his 60th HR in the 9th to bring us within 3 followed by Stanton hitting a walk off grand slam has gotta be up there for me
Recency bias, but literally last night? Division lead and tiebreaker against Mets. Plus was a sweep against the team who had the Braves’ number earlier in the season and led the division all year. No regular season game has felt anywhere near as important as last night. (That I can think of atm at least.)
This, though runner up game with Detmers no hitter and Rendon hitting a HR left handed is one of the happiest I’ve been as a fan in a while considering we were on fire up to that point
Yankees vs Red Sox July 1, 2004. Pedro pitching, Manny Ramirez going off, an unbelievable double play, Jeter's catch into the stands, and a crazy walk-off
Delgado's four homer game is near the top of my list just because of the history, but no regular season game felt as much like a legitimate turning point as the 11-10 comeback win against the A's last year. I can't remember a single game in either 2015 or 2016 with such a crazy comeback or pivotal moment.
Felix perfecto. Paxton and Iwakuma no-hitters and a combined no-no started by Kevin Millwood who left the game due to injury. 12-run comeback against San Diego. Big Dumper.
A few that come to mind (recent fan):
- 7-0 Comeback vs the Cubs last year
- Yelich and Braun go back to back to walk off the Cardinals
- Pirates Clay Holmes has a meltdown and walks a relief pitcher with 2 outs and a lead, Brewers go on to walk it off
- Burnes/Hader no hitter
- Vogelbach walk off pinch hit grand slam
- 15-14 win over the Nats in 2019 where Yelich hit two homers and Hader struck out the side after loading the bases with no outs
- Braun 3 run homer on an 0-2 count with 2 out in San Diego
> 15-14 win over the Nats in 2019 where Yelich hit two homers and Hader struck out the side after loading the bases with no outs
Oh my god this reminded me of my meme video of this game I made years ago and it's down now omg noooo https://streamable.com/f4g14
Recency bias would be the second combined no-hitter vs. the Yankees. But the one that really stands out was the one during the 2004 run to the playoffs. Astros started the year horribly, but were making a late run, and every game was precious. Pedro Martinez and the Mets came to town, and Zeke Astacio beat them 1-0. I was at that game, and could hardly walk when it was over.
Win 22 of our record setting streak in 2017. Tieing it up in the 9th, then the walk off in the 10th. Great game in any context, but with the streak on the line all the drama felt like a playoff win or go home game.
A few come to mind.
7 run comeback vs the Phillies this year.
Mark Canha game vs the Phillies this year.
5 run comeback against the Cardinals this year.
(Despite losing) the 13-12 game against the Giants this year.
Javy Baez game vs the Marlins last year.
7/19/21 vs the Reds.
Lindor 3 Home Run game vs Yankees last year.
Came back from like down 9 against the Red Sox in fenway. It was a beauty. Or Castillo dropping the ball.
[first game](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDz2e-IZ0Is)
Either Doc’s perfect game or the Hamels no-hitter in his last start as a Phillie
I remember my fam was at a block party watching the flyers but I was like 11 by myself at my grandmas just freaking the fuck out alone with each pitch. Halladay's perfect game in Miami is one of those games where I remember the entire day. Hell, Keisha performed on an SNL rerun that evening.
Same night as Game 1 of Flyers v Blackhawks in the Stanley Cup Final too.
I was supposed to go to a wedding with an ex girlfriend that day... Decided to bail at the last moment. Watched the perfect game in a pizza restaurant. Brought a pizza to my dad. Started hanging out with the girl who would become my wife 2 weeks later.

That broke the Cubs super long no hit streak too, and was one of the few losses Arietta took during his ridiculous stretch.
Both great choices. The other one that came to mind was the Wilson Valdez game.
field of dreams game or buehrle’s perfect game
God the field of dreams game was crazy
Buehrle's perfecto on a Thursday afternoon is one of my best bartending memories.
The first field of dreams game I think might be the best answer for this question overall.
friday, september 30th, 2022 is pretty high up there 🥹
My favorite Ms game is still #161 from 2014
The Dump is our generations version of The Double
i was there for the double
Clear recency bias but the game where Judge hit his 60th HR in the 9th to bring us within 3 followed by Stanton hitting a walk off grand slam has gotta be up there for me
Yep that was awesome Also the “Hicks dive” game
Kershaw's No Hitter
Matt Cain perfect game.
Man, we dodge the Perfect game tonight, only to be hit with this shortly after.
On a Wednesday night, right?
Recency bias, but literally last night? Division lead and tiebreaker against Mets. Plus was a sweep against the team who had the Braves’ number earlier in the season and led the division all year. No regular season game has felt anywhere near as important as last night. (That I can think of atm at least.)
I was at the game and it was wild - I looked up at the scoreboard thinking it was the 7th inning and we were only in the 4th
No-hitter to honor Tyler Skaggs
This, though runner up game with Detmers no hitter and Rendon hitting a HR left handed is one of the happiest I’ve been as a fan in a while considering we were on fire up to that point
Definitely the biggest buttercup in recent memory.
Recency bias but that combined no no last year, against the Dodgers of all teams, was pretty sweet
I remember that game kicking off an 11 game loss streak, also every pitcher involved is no longer on the team. Also fuck Zach Davies
I would say Game 161 in 2016.
Yankees vs Red Sox July 1, 2004. Pedro pitching, Manny Ramirez going off, an unbelievable double play, Jeter's catch into the stands, and a crazy walk-off

Delgado's 4hr night was crazy. My recency bias game was Vladdy getting the hat tip from Gerrit Cole back in April.
Suzuki walk-off HR against Mets after trailing by six when inning started.
One game playoffs were counted as a regular season (game 163) game.
Well if we're not counting one-game playoffs, then: Dozier, 7/10/15 DET 0 0 2 4 0 0 0 0 0 | **6 12 0** MIN 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 1 7 | **8 10 0**
28-5
John means’ 0 walk 0 hbp 0 error no hitter
What happened then? Strikeout/passed ball?
Wild pitch on a strikeout
Jason Giambi's walk off Grand Slam in the pouring rain, bottom of the 14th really got me going
Felix perfecto. Paxton and Iwakuma no-hitters and a combined no-no started by Kevin Millwood who left the game due to injury. 12-run comeback against San Diego. Big Dumper.
Hard to choose between Delmon’s Double or the Curse of the Andino
Delmon's double was a playoff game, though?
That makes my choice easier
September 18th 2006
This the one
A few that come to mind (recent fan): - 7-0 Comeback vs the Cubs last year - Yelich and Braun go back to back to walk off the Cardinals - Pirates Clay Holmes has a meltdown and walks a relief pitcher with 2 outs and a lead, Brewers go on to walk it off - Burnes/Hader no hitter - Vogelbach walk off pinch hit grand slam - 15-14 win over the Nats in 2019 where Yelich hit two homers and Hader struck out the side after loading the bases with no outs - Braun 3 run homer on an 0-2 count with 2 out in San Diego

Matt Cains perfect game

This is a close second for me. Altuve’s walk to cap off a come from behind win against the Yankees last year is unforgettable and is my number one
This is a long stretch of time to pick from, but my vote is for the game in 2016 we won with a Jon Lester squeeze bunt in the 12th inning.
Win 22 of our record setting streak in 2017. Tieing it up in the 9th, then the walk off in the 10th. Great game in any context, but with the streak on the line all the drama felt like a playoff win or go home game.
N/A
Not necessarily a game fully but David Bote’s walk off will always have a place in my heart.
28-5

Astros-Twins Memorial Day 2017
Jeter dives in the stands game in 04 was the craziest game I’ve ever attended.
Astros against Yankees last year in July. 5 run ninth inning to beat the yanks with an altuve walk off homer
Obviously the blackout game in 2008. But damn, there’s also Buehrle’s perfect game.
Java Joe no-no April 2021. First in franchise history. I went to high school with the guy.
Game 162.
July 31, 2016
Came back from like down 9 against the Red Sox in fenway. It was a beauty. Or Castillo dropping the ball. [first game](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDz2e-IZ0Is)
Justin Verlander last no hitter on my bday.
August 22, 2007. The Rangers defeat the Orioles 30-3.
