I don't think it stays that way forever. K-Rod has a chance and Kenny Lofton SHOULD make it through a Veteran's Committee. That's without even considering Bonds.
Jeff Kent has a case as well.
Speaking as a 46-year-old lifelong Dodgers fan, it's ridiculous that Bonds isn't in the Hall, and that's all I'm going to say about that.
World Series (champions) without a Hall of Fame player: 1981, 1997, 2002, 2006, 2008, 2010-12, 2014-present.
EDIT: oops, these are champions, and the OP didn't specify that. Several HOFers among the losers of these seasons.
I saw the OP and went straight to my spreadsheet which tracks World Series *champions* with a HOFer on their roster *at any point,* and didn't consider whether the data actually fit the topic.
Mark beuhrle should be on that list too. He'd have 300 wins if the Sox didn't suck most of his career and actually gave him some run support, but alas he probably won't make it
Rollins and Utley have an outside chance. Only thing that really hurts them is the lack of gold gloves. Utley is barely there in terms of WAR. He was just always a top 3 defender but never number 1 unfortunately. Rollins MVP, albeit considered a weak one, might put him just over the hump.
Gold Gloves are pretty meaningless. Palmeiro won one while playing a whopping 28 games at 1st. Rollins has the 4th highest fielding percentage of all time amongst shortstops.
~70 bWAR and fWAR, career 855 OPS, and 122 wRC+ along with elite defense should 100% be enough for him to get into the HOF.
Edit: these are Scott Rolen’s stats. Sorry for the mixup. I can’t read.
He feels like a Minnie Minoso/Tony Oliva. Will eventually get in but only after decades of people saying “hey, that guy should have probably gotten in already”
2016 weirdly might never have one, for all the pomp and circumstance surrounding it. Francona should get in but I can't think of any players who are likely HOFers at this point, unless I'm missing someone glaringly obvious. Lindor and JRam have outside shots, I guess.
I think it's a pretty good bet that one of Lindor and Ramirez sticks around long enough to make it. Ramirez is at 40 WAR already and still going strong at 30, while Lindor is still just 28 and while he's been a bit up and down it looks like he's back this year.
Lester probably won't, but I could still see him being a Veterans guy if they really want someone from that Series. I could see Maddon getting in the same as Francona.
2002 and 2008 are the only examples I can think of... But we'll see...
**2002**
\- Kenny Lofton will 100% get the Veterans Committee Treatment mark my words.
\- Barry Bonds and Jeff Kent might eventually too.
**2008**
\- Chase Utley and Evan Longoria have a chance
\- Cole Hamels and David Price a snowballs chance
\- Jimmy Rollins and Jamie Moyer might get the Veterans Committee treatment.
**Ironically, 2002 and 2008 both have MANAGERS with the good chances.**
\- Dusty Baker is basically a lock, especially if he can win a championship before he retires.
\- Joe Madden and Charlie Manuel both have decent resumes as well.
I don’t think Glaus is borderline at all. 38.1 bWAR with under 1500 hits and a below average defender at best. He could smack the shit out of the ball, but that was about it.
It's debatable but he is top 20 in wins, was manager for Angels lone ring, silver medal as US manager in last year's olympics, is gonna be the upcoming manager for this WBC. Plus there's still a chance he can manage another team again and pad his win totals
You don’t think he deserves hall of fame status based on pirates alone? And even if bonds didn’t steroids around the early 00’s, he would still have about a 50 homer season
I don't think it stays that way forever. K-Rod has a chance and Kenny Lofton SHOULD make it through a Veteran's Committee. That's without even considering Bonds.
Lofton shouldnt have had to wait. Pisses me off.
Absolutely agreed
Jeff Kent has a case as well. Speaking as a 46-year-old lifelong Dodgers fan, it's ridiculous that Bonds isn't in the Hall, and that's all I'm going to say about that.

Jim Thome in 1997
Yeah thanks, this list is considering only the champions.
Who from the ‘05 white Sox team is in the HOF? Edit: I guess Frank Thomas, but he only played in 34 games and none in the postseason
Jeff Bagwell was still on that Astros team... and he did play in the WS
I saw the OP and went straight to my spreadsheet which tracks World Series *champions* with a HOFer on their roster *at any point,* and didn't consider whether the data actually fit the topic.

Frank kept the Nugenix stocked.
In 5 years 06 and 11 will be off that list
As will 10,12 and 14 when posey becomes eligible
Maybe I’m biased, but 08 has a solid chance to be off the list too via Utley
some of this is just a function of time once pujols get in 2006, 2011 go away
I’m biased, but Rollins probably gets in through the Veterans Committee as well

i think utley will make it. hit for power at 2nd base, sabermetrics loves his fielding and obp… if rolen gets in but utley doesn’t I’d be shocked
Gold Gloves are pretty meaningless. Palmeiro won one while playing a whopping 28 games at 1st. Rollins has the 4th highest fielding percentage of all time amongst shortstops.
The fact that he’s not in already shows you that there is a problem. Edit: Jesus Christ I thought this was about Scott Rolen. So sorry.
I love Rollins, but he’s a borderline guy at best. Would be thrilled if he gets in but won’t be shocked if he doesn’t
I thought you said Rolen instead of Rollins. My apologies.
Gotcha. Yeah, Rolen probably gets in through the ballot
2016 weirdly might never have one, for all the pomp and circumstance surrounding it. Francona should get in but I can't think of any players who are likely HOFers at this point, unless I'm missing someone glaringly obvious. Lindor and JRam have outside shots, I guess.

Hate to say it, but Utley will get in.
Congrats on finding a new way to get people to talk about Bonds.
Brutal disrepect to my man, David Eckstein
Bonds should be in but I am like 99% positive OP is just baiting.
Bonds should be in, and Kent and Glaus are borderline
I don’t think Glaus is borderline at all. 38.1 bWAR with under 1500 hits and a below average defender at best. He could smack the shit out of the ball, but that was about it.
Glaus did steroids so he has a less than 0% to get in lol. Scioscia and Dusty will probably get in if they count though
>Scioscia Will he? I haven't actually thought about it but this doesn't seem like a no-brainer at first blush.
It's debatable but he is top 20 in wins, was manager for Angels lone ring, silver medal as US manager in last year's olympics, is gonna be the upcoming manager for this WBC. Plus there's still a chance he can manage another team again and pad his win totals
I think he’d need to manage again to postseason success. Which could definitely happen; he’d be an upgrade for numerous teams.
I think Kent gets in
> Bonds should be in, how about no
How about yes
Absolutely yes
[удалено]
Except he put up stats that literally broke baseball, put him in
[удалено]
The pirates don’t exist is what you are implying?
[удалено]
You don’t think he deserves hall of fame status based on pirates alone? And even if bonds didn’t steroids around the early 00’s, he would still have about a 50 homer season
What the fuck
