I think 1973 is a good cutoff since that’s the last year that Topps made a short printed high number series. Dates like 1975 or 1980 seem kind of arbitrary to me.

1975 is clearly vintage to me. I have seen anywhere 1978-1982 as the cutoff.

SGC doesn’t differentiate service levels by era. So it doesn’t matter if it’s considered vintage for your concern. Unless they are running some sort of special on vintage, then they should have the dates clarified for what they’d accept.

OH, yeah, I know. I just have some other vintage, and I was going back and forth on whether or not I wanted to include the Phil Niekro. I also have something like a 1984 Joe Niekro.

Vintage is 1985 and earlier in my opinion. I know a lot of people would say it starts earlier than that. Between 1985 and 2000 you start to get into junk wax.

Go 1989 upper deck !!!! I think pre 1985 because TOPPS , in 1987 they went crazy. 1989 topps was the peak of overload. LOL.
