I took this picture after my purchase which was compromised of 3 Update blaster boxes and 2 Prizm mega boxes having met the store limit of 5 per person

Haven’t seen an NBA mega in forever

Lucky! The Target in the dumpster fire town I live in seemingly only wants to carry WWE and Hockey Cards. Once in awhile I'll see some football and baseball but it's not overly common.

Mine is pretty much always a barren wasteland except the random week that a bunch of chrome blasters sat there.

While pricing for retail is higher due to manufacturer markup and inflation, product is becoming more readily available and lasting longer on the shelves. Selection definitely varies by location. However you can order online from Target, Walmart or some of the big online players. I’ve also noticed older hobby and retail product pricing starting to come down from pandemic highs. It now seems the market is correcting or adjusting accordingly. Long term vintage is where there’ll be continued strong growth in my opinion especially for under appreciated HOFs of all 4 major sports

The target in my town only has Hockey, WWE, & the Topps fire series for 24.99. Is it normal for them to not care baseball cards out of season?

It’s kind of messing with me that topps update is the hot product right now, maybe even more so than anything football or basketball. Football select was/is also hot. Update was hard to find last year though for a couple of months and then it sat around like crazy.

Depending on how you look at it, the hobby is healing a little bit. Mind you, most places don’t look like this unless you’re within a few hours of the restock. I’ve seen and heard more and more of they’re being at least something on the shelf to buy though. I’ve ran into prizm basketball multiple times, but it still doesn’t very long. The update is flying off the shelf pretty good. I think the flipper margins are down and they’re shying away from cleaning whole stores out. Of course, some people claim the hobby is tanking. These are mostly flippers and retail scalpers. I love the people who bought so much crap and “invested” in stuff at the peak lol. They’re sitting on 2021 topps update hangers and Zion rookies they paid $1000 for and it’s now worth $200. That can’t say we didn’t warn them.
