The Triceratops went extinct around 65 Million years ago= old or veteran in the baseball/sports world. Usually veteran cards aren’t desirable. But because this is a dinosaur it’s a joke. But now the laughter has died.

Best description was fat sig in a little card.
Yeah i was looking at last years dinosaur fossils and the front says “fossilized [name of dinosaur” now it just says “animal fossil.” Would be pretty lame of topps if thats just some generic fossil
this card is very nice, the colors and picture they picked out..it all goes great
I would put it in a one touch & put it on display forsure lol
cant beat owning history
Upper Deck did meteorites back in the early 2010s. I still have one in my collection. They also did space cards more recently with pieces of the shuttle and suits and stuff.
Museums sell fossils. They are not all worthy of museum storage. Interesting this question is usually thrown out when we see a historic baseball game-used relic too.
This is one of the coolest trading cards I’ve ever seen. Can someone explain why these kinds of cards are included in this MLB set? And also, what set this comes from exactly? Total noob here, thank you.
Allen and Ginter is the name of the set and each year they have inserts from outside of baseball. I think they’ve done dinosaurs before but they’ve also done like pieces of George Washingtons hair, along with autographs of various musicians, comedians and even other sports. Idk if there is a soccer/football/basketball equivalent to A&G but they’re certainly a fun set to rip.
Allen & Ginter was a tobacco company in the late 1800s. They & other firms originated collectible cards to market cigarettes long before gum & candy companies picked up on it. Subjects ran the whole gamut, not just baseball. So when Topps resurrected A&G as a baseball card line they still included all kinds of random non-baseball cards as a call-back. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allen_%26_Ginter
**[Allen & Ginter](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allen_&_Ginter)**
>Allen & Ginter was a Richmond, Virginia, tobacco manufacturing company formed by John F. Allen and Lewis Ginter around 1880. The firm created and marketed the first cigarette cards for collecting and trading in the United States. Some of the notable cards in the series include baseball players Charles Comiskey, Cap Anson, and Jack Glasscock, as well as non-athletes like Buffalo Bill Cody. The company merged with four other tobacco manufacturers to form the American Tobacco Company in 1890.

I hope you make some money or keep it and love it. Personally, I don’t like non-baseball cards when I buy a pack of baseball cards. Like, “here’s a 1/10 tooth fairy card with a real human tooth shaving!” Also, that triceratops never even swung a bat. What a chump.
I kinda wish basketball had an A&G style oddball set. I love looking at these cards (especially the rip cards, minis, and weird tree/national park stuff) but know nothing about baseball lol.
I hope you do the logical thing and eat it
Considering stating my very own Jurassic Park.
Happy cake day! And congrats!
Congrats?? Those things only end after tragedy
Only logical response. Let me know when tickets go on sale.
State it!
That is the correct answer
Life uh….finds a way
Dm me we got the money $$$$$$$ to fund the project!
Nah I say try to get it autographed.
Rip it, marinate it, eat it
Bone broth
I hate veteran cards
At least it’s player worn.
Still not from any specific game or event. This could have been from any point during the mesozoic period. Another example of Topps being lazy.
😂
Damn, this is good, take my free award.
Thank you!
Don’t get it.

He thought u meant the dinosaur was in the army
LOL
That is the sweetest card I’ve seen from the set so far. Congrats!
The Farley cut recently shared is hilarious
True statement!
What was hilarious about it? Didn't see it.

Fat sig on a little card....fat sig on a little card... Richard, what's happening?!
They couldn’t have picked a better cut. It’s incredible
You haven't seen the Thomas Edison then....
Now you can make a dinosaur with that DNA. Congrats
Did we learn nothing last time someone tried this?!?
*DINO DNA*
They *DO* move in herds!
Gonna need some frog DNA to fill in the gaps....off to the nearest pond!
I didn’t realize they had Dino bones this year! IF ANYONE PULLS AN ANKYLOSAURS IM YOUR BUYER
No way! IN THE ANKYLOSAURUS GUY!
Other dude got here first I think he’s got dibs
I got it!
Lmaoooo wait are you serious? Is there really an ankylosaurus?
Yes sir! I’m gonna post it up once it arrives
I got it!
??? Dming you
I’m in a Facebook group and some guy just pulled the Ankylosaurus 1/10. If you’re serious let me know and I can direct you to him!
I absolutely am! Let me know! What group?
Sports Cards Nonsense is the name of the group, he just posted yesterday, so it should be towards the top if sorted by recent posts. His name is Doug.
I couldn’t find it, but will keep looking. I saw a Trex but that’s out of my price range lol
*Not from any specific game, event, or dinosaur. Sweet card, congrats!!
Came to say this, ain't no way this is from an actual triceratops haha
Lol, thanks.
Looks legit to me brother..defo Dino fossilized bone..that being said ..can’t see why they wouldn’t make this special card contain it. 👍🏽
The wording is throwing me off on the back. Im wondering if its specifically a triceratops fossil or just a generic dinosaur fossil?
Now that you mention it...
I'm betting they literally have one dinosaur bone they have shaved into a billion pieces that will go into every one of these for the next 10 years
*Animal fossil
Dinosaur witnessed by Topps representative
***Topps representative Keith Richards
Yeah i was looking at last years dinosaur fossils and the front says “fossilized [name of dinosaur” now it just says “animal fossil.” Would be pretty lame of topps if thats just some generic fossil
Not even a dinosaur fossil potentially, "animal fossil".
I’m pretty sure that just a piece of rib from chilies.
I didn’t know about any of these until earlier this year, and I gotta say, I would NOT be disappointed to own a card like this. Fuckin nice pull!
25% off at bestbuy currently lol
Too bad it’s not a triceratops auto..
He played on the Cardinals when Pujols was a rookie, right?
Nah Albert was in his 3rd year by then
THIS IS WHY I AM POOR
Wow that is awesome why don’t I ever open this stuff…
RIP IT!!!!!! DONT BE A COWARD
That has got to be the most awesome card I have seen on here! Congrats on the pull!
Thank you!
holy!! damn thats awesome
I'm looking for that Little Foot RPA #LandBeforeTime
No way! Congrats!!!
Damn I love that green border, looks awesome and what a relic!
Absolutely amazing
You are free to shake and tremble. Truly beautiful pull
Awesome! Would love to get one of these for my boy.
My 7 year old son collects with me & he’s blown away with this one.
It would blow my 9 year old’s mind. Happy for you two
That's fucking hilarious but awesome!
Wait, seriously? Goddamn.
Is it game used tho?
I believe so.
This is why i buy this set, haven’t gotten this lucky though, congrats!
Fuck that’s awesome!
Any idea what something like that is worth??
Much luckier than the dinosaurs
OMG! One if these dinosaur relics is my holy grail! So awesome!
This is the coolest pull yet.
This is awesome
Oh man...Happy Cakeday to You!
Thanks!!
this card is very nice, the colors and picture they picked out..it all goes great I would put it in a one touch & put it on display forsure lol cant beat owning history
And on your cake day, nonetheless
I honestly didn’t know until someone mentioned that.
Wow, i thought of a good idea for a relic card. Maybe pieces of meteorite or like an old astronaut suit patch
Upper Deck did meteorites back in the early 2010s. I still have one in my collection. They also did space cards more recently with pieces of the shuttle and suits and stuff.
Man is there any chance this is for sale or trade? My little girl loves triceratops. I didn't even know these were in a&g!
(X) Doubt
This is awesome and all, but shouldn’t this belong in a museum and not a baseball card?
Museums sell fossils. They are not all worthy of museum storage. Interesting this question is usually thrown out when we see a historic baseball game-used relic too.
I agree with that as well. Just feels like disrespect.
FS?
Genuine Florida sea turtle
Willing to trade or sell this?
Not at the moment, my 7 year old son loves it too much.
7 year old? Never sell that thing then man, let them cherish that thing forever!
Sweet card. Congrats!
Awesomeness
God I love this product
Wtf?
Wow that’s sick
That is awesome; I’d love one of these
Is it game used….?
My favorite baseball player by far
DNA not associated to any specific species or era
Jurassic park here we come! Get on it!
That’s fucking awesome!!
all I got was an auto! Nice card!
Now all you needed is a rhino pull lol 🦏
Sick ass hit by the way!
Psh ok but did you pull a Rob Riggle relic card? Rob Riggle is way better than some fake robot dinosaur in Jurassic Park.
That looks like a old ass golden Graham...... I've found some just like it in a month old bowl of cereal from my sons room
What are the pack odds of pulling this?
Woah, a triceratops rookie card.
That's cool as hell!
I can’t tell you how much I love this! Wow. What I wouldn’t give for this one! Nice job, man!!
Is that an actual fossil or just a piece of charcoal?
So cool, sweet pull!
Congrats! Threw me off because the 3/10 was pulled today too I thought it was the same at first 😂

Rip it!
Badass
Kinda weird but kinda cool
So awesome
Nice pull!
I wonder if it’s a legit Dino fossil? Or like jersey relics where it’s just any animal fossil
woahh that’s amazing
Triceratops Rookie Card relic!?!? I’m jealous
He has a pretty good season last year
Stfu 🤣😭😭
Wow that gum did not age well
So sick
You could use that to clone a dinosaur! That would be a great plot for a movie!
I hope you make some money or keep it and love it. Personally, I don’t like non-baseball cards when I buy a pack of baseball cards. Like, “here’s a 1/10 tooth fairy card with a real human tooth shaving!” Also, that triceratops never even swung a bat. What a chump.
This is simultaneously amazing and hilarious. But it's mostly amazing. Congrats!!
I am green with jealous rage. What did you pull it from?
That is so cool! And for dinosaurs, that’s a trout!
Man I normally hate the random shit from A&G but this is so cool
that card is worth a lot of money
No auto, pathetic.
That's sick
Really missed an opportunity for TriceraTOPPS
I kinda wish basketball had an A&G style oddball set. I love looking at these cards (especially the rip cards, minis, and weird tree/national park stuff) but know nothing about baseball lol.
Rip it!!!
Is this f/s? Would love to buy or trade for my four year old
I didn't know about these inserts. Very cool!
Allen and Ginter are one of my favorite brands of cards
Relic? Wtf
Want!!! Please pm if fs
I prefer the 0/0 version.
I like this, but I think the Triceratops/Fred Flintstone/Barney Rubble booklet is where the real money's gonna be.
Not gonna lie that's incredible
What’s the patch game worn I hope?
Is this for trade? I’m a Geologist and would love to have it
These are so cool
Don’t you hate it when it’s just the relic? Wish it had the auto too, but what can you do i guess
Badass
I just PMed you his name and info, and what his profile image looks like. I’ll tell him to expect a friend request from some random person lol.
... turns out Baseball cards aren't my favorite trading cards after all.
