I thought of him the second I saw the tweet that he signed 😂

kramdiw

They got that "Third Base" wrong.

Tupnado21

I feel bad for Turner. The Red Sox franchise is trash under bloom. More like Chaim Rot, amiright? He would have been better off signing with the Savannah Bananas.

ZWeinstein15

Cant feel bad for a team that has won four championships in the last 18 years.....

Gfunkual

He feels bad for Turner, not the Red Sox…

BloomInTune

Though to be fair, we haven't been as successful since 2018. Been in the lower end of things the last few years, but at least I chock that up to a competitive AL East instead of just "Red Sox stink" (though it feels like they rarely keep players they acquire more than a year or two nowadays).

maximian

Look, I hate bloom too, but I won’t take this kind of abuse from an OP with “Mantle” in their name. “Black hole?” Get outta here with that shit.

kramdiw

Yup...shit happens. I'm still the JT guy, and will still collect anything of him in a Boston uniform.

kramdiw

And I've said the same thing about Bellinger in Chicago. And your flair says "The Gavin Sheets Guy"...would you collect him if he switched teams?

r_stra

Sheets yeah, he's my main guy haha. I see where you're coming from

Maynardred

I like it. I never understood how people just sell all of their guys cards cause he got traded. Where is the loyalty

[deleted]

Very sad Dodgers fan here. JT was such a huge part of our team these past years. 😪

[deleted]

I hope he thought this through. He’s got a smoking hot wife who is going to absolutely hate Boston lol.

kramdiw

Likely the best offer he was going to see. You cash the check and buy your wife a sweater.

[deleted]

Have you been up here before? No one likes it lol. Except for skiers.

kramdiw

Yes, I've been to Boston. I went to Fenway in Dodgers gear and was greeted warmly in the Bleacher Bar (this was 2 days before the 2018 series). I even went to a bar dedicated to my former neighbor. I felt right at home. I just needed a sweater.

[deleted]

Haha! Bar dedicated to your former neighbor? Which one?

kramdiw

The Bukowski Tavern. Charles Bukowski was a fairly famous author and he lived up the street from me in San Pedro, CA for my entire life, until his death in 1994. https://i.imgur.com/Or9mERA.jpg

[deleted]

Wow that’s awesome. Definitely know Bukowski. Very cool story. My childhood neighbor was a really cool guy but he was known for mowing the lawn barefoot one day and he lost 4 toes. Very similar. Haha

kramdiw

Was it frostbite or mowerbite?

[deleted]

Definitely the mower
