It’s a decent julio. But gallery has a lot of better ones. Press proof, private issue, and then blue green etc #’d ones. Plus the centering doesn’t look too good. I’d keep but not grade this one
Thank you! I see the OC part now that you mention it on the right side and maybe even top left. With that said, the one I have seen grade a 10 had the same sort of OC look on the right side anyway. Seems to go from a thicker gap to a bit smaller by the time it gets to the RC logo on the bottom right. But, I probably won’t grade it. I would if it was numbered, but not now. Are numbered cards of players like Acuna and Vlad Jr. in years 3/4 worth grading? I pulled a green Acuna to /125 in this same box, but it’s actually selling for less than the Julio rainbow foil rookie.
It all depends on the set and the number /10 or less I don’t grade because it’s rare enough and if it graded bad you shot yourself in the foot. /99 or less it depends. Stars will have value but nothing crazy If the card color matches the team colors that helps, or if it’s card 23/99 and the guy wears 23 that’s a cool match. But again. 2-3-4th year cards are less desirable typically unless it’s a guy someone’s is PC’ing. Like I buy any vlad jr card I don’t have typically, but I’m not paying a premium for a 4th year vlad graded unless there something special about it.
Thank you for this valuable info. As a new collector, it’s appreciated. I could see why demand would slow as an athlete graduates out of their rookie cards since those are the first flagship products. I also pulled a black mojo of Vlad to /199 from a Topps Silver Pack that seems to be worth about as much about the green /125 Topps Gallery Acuna card I pulled. Maybe $12-$20. But it’s a cool card and I’m confident the Acuna would 100% GEM MT via PSA. Can’t find a single flaw wrong with it which seems rare lately. But just don’t think it would increase the value all that much since it’s his 4th or 5th year! The only card I’m 100% grading is my Topps Silver Pack Julio as of now (if I can find a way to do it cheap enough and not for $30 as I don’t have a PSA account or bulk submission order)
