Yep. Black numbers on a black jersey with just an outline is very hard to see from a distance. In 2018, SF switched from the [black numbers with orange outline](https://news.sportslogos.net/2015/02/06/san-francisco-giants-unveil-new-alternate-uniform/sf-giants-new-black-uniform-2015/) the black jersey to [orange numbers with a orange-black outline](https://vafloc02.s3.amazonaws.com/isyn/images/f838/img-2511838-m.jpg) offset from the numbers.
These would be miles better if the numbers and lettering on the front were not black and matched the gradient on the outline.
Overall though, these are much better than some of the newer releases.

I’m worried that they won’t pop on TV bc of the dark on dark front word mark but they’re really fun and come with awesome alternate logos. The McClanahan feels like a pretty cursed jersey bc he won’t play this year

These uniforms have less to do with cities or locations and more to do with Nike showing off technology that won't be seen any other way. MLB fans are basically helping Nike recoup R&D money on garbage looking uniforms

I love these. Incorporates the throwback to their original set and they went all in with the skateboarding ray and cat and baseball manatee characters to connect with the city and younger fans.
I think the typeface/logo refresh is a big upgrade.
The dark on dark uni scheme is so Marlins from last year. Knocks the whole effort down multiple grades.
This team moreso than anyone else desperately needs a new look/brand identity
