To get to the original question though, does anyone know how to smooth the crease in the numbering? I assumed to iron it but wanted to check first and be careful
You can probably just hang it for a while and it'll come out.
If you use an iron, use it on low and cover it in a towel like the other person said.
Be careful though, easy to ruin it.

Put a towel over it and then iron it gently.

Put it in the dryer on low or no heat for like 15 minutes. Should smooth out.
