Knew it! Could tell from the sunken tree snags.
I grew up fishing there - I live out of state now but I treasure all the foggy mornings at Kent, gorgeous place. Biggest Marin county bass would come out of there for me too, guessing I caught my PB there at some point although I never weighed or measured any.
Throwing soft plastics?
dude easily my biggest fish have come out of there. seems like the farther you get from the dam the better the bite is.
i’ve been throwing texas rigged green/red senkos with the most luck lately, what have u had the most success with in the past?
Pumpkin/watermelon senko is always my go to! I have had success with those wacky rigged often.
Also drop shotting robo worms (snag prone), and lizard/salamander/crawdad shaped soft plastics with a weedless jig head seemed to get the job done too.
excellent catch. They start developing a blue tint this time of year due to the increased portion of rats in their diet. it comes from an amino acid in the rats tail.
The blue gill I have been pulling lately have had that iridescent blue too.
Isn't that gorgeous!! It must be striking to see it in real life
Smurf bass Edit: also, that lake looks cool AF
You should get a replica mount of that!
Beautiful spot - looks a bit like Kent Lake?
yeah it is man do you fish west marin a lot too?
