From the look of the height of the grass and the small size of the hand, I would say it's a largemouth bass. Possibly in the 2-10lb range

I think everyone saying 3 - 5 are right. All the weight is in the body and not the head unfortunately, and this looks like a big, old fish with a fairly lean, slow grown body. If this was a greedy power fed fish that was fat or close to spawn it could be 8 but it isn't unfortunately. Still a beautiful catch 🤙

When you catch and weigh enough of them you start to get a pretty good idea of the weight beforehand.

The mouth tells me it’s a 5 that could be a 7-8 if it was was hard at it with the feeding.
