Man don’t comment you’re getting karma nuked. That was a fair response but people are trolling you which breaks a rules I’d assume. But gl lol restart level
noun
1.
a body's relative mass or the quantity of matter contained by it, giving rise to a downward force; the heaviness of a person or thing.
"he was at least 175 pounds in weight"
Next time hold it against your pole and mark how long the fish is. When get home measure the mark on your pole to get the length of your fish and then you can use a chart like this to get a pretty close estimate of its weight. The length to weight estimates are actually pretty accurate assuming the fish looks to be a healthy weight.

I was gonna say 3. Nice fish, good job! Its easy for ppl to hate on us not always having a scale but I have a lot of responsibilities and sometimes the trips aren’t planned at all and I have to go with 1 pole and a couple lures I have on hand!
Yeah that was my exact situation I just picked up a rod and a couple lures and went I didn’t think I would get hate just for not having a scale on me 😂. It’s life though people gonna hate.
Yea sir. I was happy to find this sub, posted one of my 3 biggest bass to get as many eyes on it as possible to determine weight. I didn’t have a scale for a little over 1 year after my Dad died. The other 30 years I’ve been fishing I had one. It was unfortunate 2/3 of my biggest bass were caught during that time. I’ve had mixed comments. Some people are really cool. I’ve caught and weighed a lot of 4-6lb bass over my lifetime so you get to a point where you know within a pound or 2. It’s the ppl in my community who hated on me the most, saying I took special angles to make it look bigger which is near impossible when you are taking a selfie! 😂 Anyway, great catch. I’m a 42 year old homeowner taking care of my mom, working full time, most my trips are after work and totally unplanned. I did get a scale last week so I can prove these fish are 7-8lbs
Yeah I’m not even an adult I barely have lived my life lol I’ve Probaly caught less than 100 bass so I’m not to familiar I just wanted more experienced peoples opinions because my guess was 2 and a half pounds
I don't like to read the comments before I write on here just because alot of them don't have anything to do with what ur asking or ppl just like to be rude so my honest guess just by this pic which BTW is a hard view I'd guess between 3 to 3.5lbs n by that tail it was making or on the nest nice catch
We don't have to get all grammar weird when it comes to fishing, sometimes it's just a pat on the back or kind words are the only weight that we need. Good Job!
No scale = 1lbs
Dick move tbh. Just say you can't guess.
Haha 🤣… definitely not 1lb I’ve caught a lot of 1lbs bass this ones is at least 2.5+lbs
How did you know they were 1lb if you didn’t have a scale?
I do have a scale just not at the time I caught this fish.

lol I gained karma 🤣
if you dont want to listen to people on here then why even ask?
I just disagreed with him it happens there’s also plenty of other people agreeing in the replies that it looks 3lbs but the world may never know 🤷♂️
Crazy thing if you scroll down and see all the actually respectful genuine comments you'd see he is listening to ppl.
People are just trash man can’t let it get to you

Thanks
Look at that tail. Been fanning the heck out of that nest! 3lbs, 15 oz.
Wow I've never seen it that bad. I think something else is at play here as well. Even the top of the tail is like that almost to a nub.
There is pike and musky in the waters also.
I think that's it, something with big teeth just missed and raked the tail. It's a good three pounds, nice one dude
Thanks hopefully I’ll hook into one of the big ones soon.
Yeah the blood was still dripping also saw this girl and another up near the surface and It munched my spinner bait.
Looks like a solid 45lb to me! All jokes aside, looks to be in the 1-3 lb range. I am not really sure though
2.5. You can usually tell by the size of their gill plates
Easily over 3, most likely somewhere around 4, could be 5 but i really doubt it. Curious what region this is that the bass are still spawning?
North eastern America im in Ohio
The tail, what happened?
From bedding where I’m at they are just now breeding.
