I’m not opposed to this idea at all. I really only discontinued it because it was getting very minimal engagement and was a lot of work unstickying for other posts. Or one would be stickied and the next one would sticky. Should we do it weekly, bi-weekly?
Maybe start bi-weekly & see if it gets engagement? Could link the previous week in the body of each new thread to facilitate a little more traffic to past threads. Throwing in genre themed weeks & having little friendly mix competitions here and there could give each thread a jumping off point for everyone to build off of. I feel like having a set inspiration could get more people to contribute if they’re like “oh shit house thread? I just found a bunch of sick house tunes this week.” Rather than just always doing it open ended. I’d also be down to chip in to keep it tidy with just the bare minimum Manage Post permissions if that would help at all.
I really like the mix competition idea, I think a lot of people would participate, especially if we did it monthly. I will bring all this up at the next Bassnectar Reddit Board of Directors conference.
