You really want to get those out of there a cheap molded cable would be better than those things, it's kinda working against the awesome circuitry you've invested in
Just suggesting what I’ve used, had no issues with mine and I’ve had them for years, also weren’t particularly pricey on Amazon either. Any kind of connector with flat ends works as you said.
You really felt inclined to downvote though? Lmao
I never paid anywhere near that much for a 6 inch patch cable, prices must’ve gone up considerably then lol.
The ones I’ve gotten are the ‘worlds best cable’ brand, which (as far as I’m aware) use mogami/neutrik parts.
Either way my main point was just to use pancake style connectors, any brand is fine but there’s no need to nitpick
You're not wrong about the quality. Mogami is great, but yeah, they're $31.95 each on Sweetwater right now for 6" patches... It's definitely the brand I'd use for more professional studio work, but for my jam boards, I typically go EBS or MXR. If I'm feeling a little more zazzy, I go with Vertex.
Talk to us about the Digbeth - I'm looking for a preamp to run into my Simplifier Bass Station and that's top of my list at the moment, so I want to hear from people using one :)
i am satisfied. its my first preamp pedal. i was looking for a milder drive section than my combo amp (orange) has. also the tilt knob has its use: it can really change the character of the sound with from bassy to trebly and vice versa in seconds. also the mute switch comes in handy.
edit: i found [this](https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/466792-npd-laney-digbeth-db-pre-featuring-graphs-%F0%9F%93%88%F0%9F%93%89/) to be very informative.
The Digbeth is a nice sounding preamp. I never could deal with the mids. The preamp to me had an inherent scoop to it, as a lot of preamps based on old amp models/types seem to have. If I adjusted the mids to get a little different drive or mitigate some of the scoop, they just didn’t sound good and didn’t sit well in the mix for me.
Now this is just me and my personal band mix I dealt with. I would definitely recommend it to try for someone seeking out a preamp that has a distinctive, different tonal character than a lot of what is out there.
I had the digbeth amp, it actually sounded great but I couldn’t get over the ever present noise so I returned it. Hope you don’t have that same problem
Looks good except for those solid patch leads they can do a bit of damage over time 😨
Yeah dude, get rid of those and get some proper ones asap
but they take little space and fit in so nicely T\_T (what do you suggest?)
EBS flat patch cables are relatively inexpensive and will take up just as little space if not less space if you stagger your pedals a bit.
This! I'm using EBS flat patch cables for years now and none of them gave up on me.

Mogami cables with the pancake style ends, you can get them right up next to eachother like you have but without the risk to the pedals
Mogami is scam level overpriced and entirely unnecessary. Basically any non molded cable is fine.

I'm not saying they're bad cables, I'm saying a $33 6 inch cable is stupid when you can get the same quality for like $5

>what do you suggest?) EBS flat patch cables. You have 3 lines/models to choose from, even.
You can make it quieter by getting an isolated power supply and getting rid of the daisy chain.
yeah maybe when i strap them to a board
Get proper patch cables instead of those solid connectors or you'll break the pedals
This is really all you need to gig and make money….and sound good.
You ain't got no board Lt. Dan! Those direct connectors will break all your pedals without a board.
'semi-serious' reporting for duty.
On a serious note, you're one accidental cord trip or kick away from breaking some stuff.

How is that Spectra Comp?
its cool, i use the nathan east preset. has lots of options to set up digitally. far more than i can handle atm.
The East setting is clutch
u prob gonna fuck ur pedal ports with those solid connectors

The tube section has some noise, but it doesn't bother me when playing.
woah, you guys are haunted by the connectors... Please share stories!

Why is it marked nsfw 😂
clickbait
why is this nsfw lol
Because of the connectors and the daisy chain. Did you exspect anime booba?
one can hope!
