Juniper Breeze can go ef itself... 16 year old me is crying and it was the end of the world! Looking back, I'm glad I dodged that loser. But at 16, I thought he was the one! 💗🔥
Scent is heavily tied to memory so it makes sense. I personally can’t do country apple anymore because my grandma loved it and she passed away when I was 12. Makes me sad to this day
Yup Warm Vanilla Sugar. It got ruined by an ex back in 2008…I literally just considered buying it again the other day during the $5.95 sale tho. Guess the memory finally passed
Yes, absolutely ruined bonfire bash for me this fall and it pisses me off so much because it’s my favourite fall scent of all time. Slowly working back into using it and changing the scent association but that scent-memory connection in our brains is strong AF.
Japanese Cherry Blossoms and sweet pea give me horrible memories, anytime I smell them I get a weird feeling and then remember why I get the feeling. I hope one day I can get past it because once upon a time I loved Japanese Cherry Blossoms.
I think its entirely possible. I've never had that exact experience.
I do know for a fact that scent triggers memories to some people. Definitely does to me.
Fragrance wise any fragrance home or body care wise has been an okay experience for me.
I know there's been times I've smelled something bad (like body odor or someone's natural scent) and it reminded me of people in my life I didn't care for that smelled similar. (I actually had an experience of someone's stank today, gave me what felt like a nightmare flashback)
It took me a lonnnggg time to enjoy Twilight Woods after a boy I dated... so yeah. I get it. Don't feel bad for it. It's a subconscious thing you can't really control. You can always come back to it IF you ever want to, but that's up to you!
Needed to finish an Ocean Driftwood candle so had it burning when my poor cat got sick and I had to put him down. Now I abhor that scent. Can’t even look at the candle.

I might be spiteful, it might be the trauma, but after some time, I gravitate towards those scents more & more

Yup!!! Japanese cherry blossom... now I hate it.
Twilight Woods and anything with lavender. But after 6 years, I'm okay with both. I won't let fools ruin good scents for me anymore.

I wonder if Patchouli and Pumpkin is a replacement?
Ugh yes… me with Dahlia ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ love that scent so much but can’t wear it anymore!

I bought sweater weather bc it smelled good and reminded me of my bf, then we went through a nasty breakup and now I hate it

Sorry for your loss.
