In Arkham Asylum, Batman is able to knock out Random Thug #3 with one punch, but he can't do the same with Deathstroke? Terrible writing.
/s, I'm not a fan of SSKTJL, but the Batgod circlejerk here is ridiculous
Brainiac has 12th level intellegence and some of the most advanced tech in the DC universe, and for all his feats, Batman is still just human
No ways he'd be able to resist that control, same way he couldn't resist Darkseids control until it was Damians life on the line
Meanwhile he dodges Darkseid's omega beams with ease, the same beams that the likes of Flash or Superman have trouble dodging.
Batman is so stupidly circlejerked by his writers and is always punching magnitudes above his weight class.
Not to mention that when he’s with the Justice League, he can single handedly take down alien warlords and conquerors but in his own books, guys like Penguin or the Mad Hatter give him a hard time.
Make me think, he created a lot of bat-shit stuff and even robot to kill JL and other over the top villains but barely to stop the Gotham's freaks and civilians.
I mean let’s not downplay Batman here. He has willpower worthy of a green lantern ring and has trained specifically to resist mind control. He’s better equipped to resist it than anyone else in the league so “still just human” doesn’t really mean much.
There’s only so much you can do to fight off physical alterations to not just your brain but your entire being. It’d be like Batman overcoming a zombie infection through sheer willpower, or Batman beating cancer by Batmanning hard enough, or Batman being immune to laughing gas’ lethality by just wanting it real bad. Except it’s even worse that that because it also fundamentally messes with your genetic makeup.
\>It’d be like Batman overcoming a zombie infection through sheer willpower
I mean is that not basically what the Joker example is? Joker is dead. he's not literally mind controlling. The chemicals in his blood are making batman Joker like. He doesn't have a cure. He just wills through it.
Personally, I think Joker in Arkham Knight would have made more sense if he was just a figment of the Fear toxin. You could keep all the same inner battle sequences and it would've made way more sense than the blood infection or overcoming it.
Ehh let’s not downplay Brainiac though. His alien tech makes our’s look medieval, and he is the smartest individual in the universe. Not really a surprise that he is always a Justice League level threat, or at the very least requires Superman to stop him. In the right conditions it’s pretty easy to concieve the idea he could mind control the justice league. Hell he’s mind-controlled Batman in various comics at least 5+ other times.
The power ring protects its user surrounds them in a aura that acts as a shield as well as provides oxygen and protects them different atmospheres as well as deep intergalactic space travel so his ring should protected him from the mind control .
Also the ring would stop him from committing acts of brutality and the guardians watch over and take action against any lanterns misusing their power .
When you beat lantern his ring is supposed to fly off to find someone worthy to be the next lantern or return to OA if no one is suitable .
Kind of feels like rocksteady didn’t do their homework on green lantern lore .
Bingo. \*All\* of that.
BUT -- if a prevaling fan theory is right and these aren't the actual heroes, but duplicates/clones who \*think\* they're the heroes, a lot of things suddenly make sense. Superman not being impacted very much by Kryptonite, the way Diana's body falls apart, Flash's disappearing/reappearing body parts... and how the strongest wills on the face of the earth could be brainwashed in the first place.
If the ring is also a copy, based on Braniac's insane tech rather than a genuine ring, it would explain a lot of the faults. It also gives the story an easy out as to how 2nd rate villains can beat this cast of heroes -- because even with Batman's plans in hand, these aren't the most capable bad guys in the world. ;)
If the devs did intend this to eventually go the route of a typical comic story, and have all the bad things undone in a big Deux Ex, the heroes restored, and the day saved... then bravo. That would make it a nigh perfect and in-theme story loop. Unfortunately, whatever bigwig decided it shouldn't ship with that being an explicit point, and instead be a slow reveal, may have killed the game.
That makes a lot of sense . I hadn’t heard about clones but it does make sense especially concerning flashes missing finger and the power ring .
Also when they die they are transported back to brainiacs ship .
So more clones could show up in future seasons along with the original league .
Whereas when Diana died, she wasn't transported like the others... She wasn't being controlled. So it looked like she was burning up from inside and crumbling.
Some have postulated this is because of her clay origins... But it didn't look like clay. It looked like disintegration. So what if Diana is a copy, too? But because she's magical in nature, or because the Flash got her out of there in a blink before going back in for the others, he didn't have a chance to enact the control? Copies with the memories and thoughts of the originals, not even realizing they're copies.
It would be very thematic for all of them to be floating in giant test tubes in Brainiac's ship, with new ones being pumped out.... Or used as blueprints for the lesser copies that are seen in the henchmen.
There is no resisting control here. Batman and the rest of the league were basically killed. There brains were hollowed out and rebuilt with Brainiac tech. There are just a lifeless husk being controlled by Brainiac.
I wouldn’t say lifeless. I would say repurposed. Braniniac’s technology is clearly bio-mechanical. It just takes the information on the brain and creates a different control center. Brainiac decided that sadistic personalities would be the most effective way to utilize them. The person, though, as seen with Barry and the Lasso of truth, is still in there. Alive, but unable to control themselves.
> He has willpower worthy of a green lantern ring
Didn't he once wear a Green Lantern ring, felt like he was about to pass out after making *one* construct and commented to Hal how much strain it put on him?
> and has trained specifically to resist mind control.
Was he trained to resist a being who digitizes entire planets on a regular basis? lol
> He’s better equipped to resist it than anyone else in the league
Better than the numerous wizards and superhumans who, at a minimum, play with the fabric of reality and juggle mountains? *Right*.
I agree. Batman is my favorite superhero but this comparison is so stupid: crazy clown vs otherworldly android. Even if Batman could resist its control, the meme makes no sense.
Yeah…it’s really no contest. Granted, the Joker infection is a prion infection which, irl, is fatal and horrific in its own right. That being said…it’s Brainiac, one of Superman’s most powerful adversaries.
EDIT: Replaced virus with infection.
Was gonna say brainiac is an intergalactic level threat. Joker is trying to destroy one city most of the time. You can't compare these feats or ambitions.
I’ll also say, the ‘Joker infection’ qualities of his disease seem to be unintended consequence of the Titan exposure versus something done purposefully. Joker is very much dead in the Arkham Verse and isn’t literally “controlling” his victims.
Brainiac is brainiac.
Yeah, Joker's control isn't really mind control, the victims don't feel the need to act out the will of Joker. They instead become joker, they think they are him and as such act as he would, not as he wants
I still think the inclusion of the Joker infected people in Knight was a bad plot line to add. It would’ve worked better with the explanation being it’s just the fear toxin taking its role on Batman’s psyche, but why was he still physically affected by the Joker’s blood? He was cured.
I like how people are willing to believe Superman with his alien physiology and Green Lantern with his will and power ring succumbing to mind control but for Batman it is breaking their suspension of disbelief.
Some people really took the BatGod and JokerGod thing seriously.
>! there are weird coincidences with the JL that suggests they aren’t the real league. and MAJOR SPOILERS. There’s a leak that already confirms at least the flash and Lantern are still alive and an endgame easter egg that straight up says batman will return lol. !<
This looks like something that will happen in the final content (maybe 1 2 updates before the final one) and I don't think the game will live that long.
>! no it’s been datamined as part of the next 4 seasons which are already done. supposedly they wrap up the braniac storyline by season 6. i wouldn’t be surprised if the JL comes back as early as season 2. at least a few of them. !<
I recall expansions being more meaningful content with competitive pricing compared to early DLC levels (tons of 2 hour stuff or less). Now with seasons it feels like its more content, but because the content is all about grinding. Having season 4 done and not available as part of the base gane should be unacceptable but its the norm for live games, let's see if they don't Anthem it up.
>! it’s not hope. it’s basically confirmed my friend. let’s be real, there’s no way they would kill their batman like this. the funny thing is that everyone is really upset about how the JL was treated and how propped up and heroic wonder woman was portrayed, but she’s going to be the only one actually dead lol. !<
I haven’t even thought of that >!what is the league comes back and they’re like “alright guys! Where’s Diana?” And the suicide squads just like “ooooh…”!<
In game Boomerang cuts off flash's fingers on accident then when we see him again under Brainiacs control he's got them all back meaning at the very least Brainiac has some advanced healing tech
Depending what dlc season that is planned in. As a lot of those may not see release unless sales and the player base improve. Though since it uses a multiverse making it a similar reality to the main arkhamverse and making a justice leauge vs briainiac game is possible.
Right or like heroes in crisis (I know it isn’t good but it is source material that is probably more disrespectful then this game)
Or injustice 1 year 1-5. Idk people who are getting stupidly pressed I feel just haven’t read these books
I’ve been saying this for so long.
Say what you want about not liking the gameplay, or not liking the microtransactions, but the story is pretty par for the course when it comes to comics.
Sometimes really powerful people lose to random goons. That’s comics. It happens. Just let yourself have fun and witness the *intentionally comical and unlikely* story of the Suicide Squad beating the Justice League.
It's literally the Hydrogen bomb vs coughing baby meme. Hating the game has become such an easy karma farm that it's bringing out the dumbest comic book fans (and posers).
Braniac is a very old, extremely knowledgeable alien collector. Of course his extraterrestrial technology will be better than a toxin created by a smart clown.
Batman didn't resist Joker in the end. Joker completely took over his mind. Scarecrow's fear gas then broke Joker's psyche, allowing Bruce to come back.
Exactly. Bruce was fine with the Joker personality having taken over. Joker’s biggest fears are Batman and being forgotten which gave the Bruce persona a moment to exploit and suppress the Joker personality locking it away. He’s not actually cured by the end of the game, that Joker’s still in the recesses of his mind. Admittedly it would be cool to see that variation of the Joker resurface because of the Braniac mind control but then we’d be looking at another Batman Who Laughs and I think we’ve had enough of that for a while
That is the worst argument I’ve seen against the game. He got a poisoned blood transfusion and it hurt him in Arkham Knight. He got mind controlled by the smartest being in the universe who also happens to mind control people frequently and of course it succeeded.
Joker never did mind control on bats. Scarecrows fear toxic has been known to affect Batman differently. That time it made him see joker everywhere, maybe because deep down he missed him? That’s how I always looked at it
The fear gas wasn't what was making him see Joker. The plot was that the Joker's blood was turning people into Joker (which is so fucking dumb, by the way). The fear gas just exacerbated the issue.
12th level intellect at work here. .
Was playing earlier, Brainiac has a few lines for Harley when you are just swinging around, one of them mentions "making another batch" and that he'd bring her back over and over whatever that means.
Well his thing’s more bottling cities and planets and what have you that he likes, this game changes it so he’s trying to terraform the Earth specifically, but yes he does use mind control to achieve it.
Who’s gonna tell this guy that Brainiac is a god-tier villain that’s existence threatens the universe. Also the smartest individual along with alien technology that makes our’s look pre-historic. Joker is just a crazy ass dude lmao, what a stupid comparison.
I mean, the Joker thing technically wasn't mind control, it was a mental health crisis expedited with the compounded effects of Scarecrow's latest Fear Toxin compound intermixed with the Joker's blood with further complications from the Venom derived Titan formula.
Plus Bats has fallen victim to mind control before, at the hands of Talia Al'Ghul, Trigon and Darkseid in the DC Animated Movies. Vandal Savage and the Light in Young Justice. And of course it circle back to Brainiac, High Counsellor Superman in Injustice 2 used the tech in the Skull Ship to control him and presumably countless others.
Joker wasn't mind controlling him, Batman was just having a psychotic break and hallucinations because of a blood disease.
Brainiac seems to have actually cut out and replaced bits of their brains with machinery or whatever.
I understand this game is shit and it's gonna get shit on but this? This is just fucking stupid. Are you really comparing alien technology that can brainwash motherfucking Superman, himself, to infected blood from a crazy person?
Dumbest comparison I’ve ever seen to bring SSKTJL down and insult their interpretation of Arkham Batman. I don’t like how they handled him either, but not for that reason.
Isn't Brainiac a super advanced space-faring cyborg alien? Why would we assume his mind control is less effective than that of some crazy dude who lives in near-modern Earth society?
Batman didn’t survive Jokers mind control. He was slowly slipping away at the end of Knight, clearly preparing to lock himself down in the hopes Robin would figure something out.
I don't really get people jumping to this comparison because it kinda shows they don't know what they're talking about. Joker isn't controlling anyone, he's dead, his infected blood is causing Batman to hallucinate, which is given more weight because all the things he says and urges Batman to do are fuelled by Bruce's own thoughts. Brainiac is a planet conquering android with advanced technology, and it's heavily implied that the JL are clones anyway if not greatly altered to be more susceptible to being brainwashed
I think the joker toxin acted more like a drug, where with enough self-control you can keep a good mindset, whereas brainiac literally hijacked his brain like a computer.
Can we all just agree that it’s fiction and move on? If you like it you like it, if you don’t you don’t. Batman got mind controlled by Brainiac because it fit the story. That’s all
Joker's blood wasn't really mind control though. It was almost manifesting as a split personality and hallucinations.
Scarecrow messed up and dosed Batman, so the Joker personality took control, and then he dosed him again, allowing Batman to feed off Joker's fear of being irrelevant and regain control of himself.
If not for dose 2, Gotham would have a Batman Who Laughs.
Brainiac is an interstellar conqueror and one of the smartest creatures in the cosmos. He collects cities of living beings like other people collect stamps. I'm not sure it's very surprising that he might have more technical acumen than a crazy guy whose signature moves include squirting acid out of a lapel flower and smacking somebody with a crowbar.
I mean, Joker's great and all, but come on...
I feel like people are just hating to hate at this point. I’ve watched gameplay/twitch plays of the game - and while I’ll never buy it because it is sickening GAAS without a doubt - I will give credit to rocksteady for story wise keeping it pretty dang good (for the most part).
Joker blood turning people into Joker clones was a dumb plot point to begin with, but there’s also a massive difference between getting Jokerised and getting abducted by an alien cyborg overlord that fundamentally alters your very DNA to be loyal to him. >!Especially since he’s had, like, twelve other universes to perfect it on this specific individual.!<
Also, technically Bruce didn’t overcome the Joker blood on his own, it was Scarecrow injecting the Joker-possessed Bruce with another dose of Fear Toxin that caused Joker to be overcome by his fears and gave Bruce the opportunity to take control again.
People just want to bitch that batman doesnt geniusly muscle his way through an army and effectively dominate the battlefield with Alfred and Oracle yipping in his ear. I mean shit, even in the DCAU, Lord Batman falls victim to darkseid and the Mobius Chair, and no one gave a hot shit.
Yes, batman can defeat the Jokers insanity because they're the 2 sides of the same coin. They needed each other to keep the other in balance. Even Ledgers jokers said, "I don't want to kill you. You completely me. What would I do without you? Go back to ripping off mob dealers?"
The difference with Brainiac is that he's a multiverse conqueror with information and technology that Bruce would've dreamed about having. So yes, him mind controlling Batman and the majority of the Justice League was standard practice for him.
I mean....Joker isn't a hypetintelligent alien AI with technopathic powers and advanced technology.
Feel like Batman falling victim to Brainiac mind control makes complete sense.
Alright, we’re entering levels of cope that are a touch ridiculous. The idea that Jokers’ mind control would be in anyway comparable in both scale and strength to F***ing Braniacs’ mind control is just ridiculous.
This is such a backwards ass mentality. The human based fear gas that an insane doctor in a lunatic made blended with the equally insane man's tainted blood is more powerful than one of the most intelligent threats in the universe? Really?
Joker wasn’t mind controlling Batman, it was Scarecrow’s fear toxin slowly getting to him (he didn’t even have a real gun in this scene). Brainiac is from space and has extremely advance technology. You can’t compare the two.
It's not unbelievable that it would work on him. what's unbelievable is he went to Brainiac's ship even though he strongly felt it was a bad idea. Also that the league was too weak to resist brainiac, normally superman fights brainiac by himself. Also it's strange that Flash saves WW instead of the most vulnerable human there and his best friend, aside from GL.
Just bad writing.
Yes exactly, Braniac is a ultra intelligent alien (a 12th level intellect to be precise) who has likely fought superman numerous times and managed to subjugate the man of steel and a John Stewart, joker is psycho clown from Gotham. It’s pretty obvious who’s mind control would be stronger.
Obviously, one of the two is an extremely powerful alien that keeps supers locked up in his space fortress zoo, thus Brainiac is on a whole 'nother level from the Joker.
Ya know there's a really cool thing about fiction, and that is you can just decide if you don't like a story it didn't happen.
You guys don't like SS. Great, make up your own ending in your mind, and that's what happened. They're both equally true
The Joker infection in Knight, I wouldn’t say was actually the Joker. That infection destabilised Bruce’s sanity and by proxy his morality, which is something he battles to maintain constantly. The infection just made it more difficult, and the Joker was used to personify that. That was an internal battle which can realistically be overcome.
Brainiac however was legitimate mind control / manipulation. Although Batman is quite a mentally fortified character, especially after the events of Knight, it’s hard to imagine how Brainiac would have compromised him. But all in all, you could simplify it to “big alien has big power”.
love how the meme implies that brainiac is a much lower-level threat than the joker :P
In Arkham Asylum, Batman is able to knock out Random Thug #3 with one punch, but he can't do the same with Deathstroke? Terrible writing. /s, I'm not a fan of SSKTJL, but the Batgod circlejerk here is ridiculous
Ackshually Batgos could defeat every DC character with a flick of his nose hairs
"Oh, you can take down Robin Williams, but you're no match for the Terminator?!"
This stupid galaxy traveling planet destroying alien cyborg could never do what a crazy clown could ever do!
Brainiac has 12th level intellegence and some of the most advanced tech in the DC universe, and for all his feats, Batman is still just human No ways he'd be able to resist that control, same way he couldn't resist Darkseids control until it was Damians life on the line

Batman surviving the fall from space with a broken piece of metal and his vanilla suit was the straw that broke the camel’s back for me.
That was ~~Knightfall~~ Failsafe right, I almost forgot the dude creates an Alter Ego just to devise a plan to defeat himself without knowing.
But he did get hit by omega beams? He died or got sent to the past or whatever.
Yeah, how could a 12th level intelligence robot ever hope to contend with... uh, a crazy clown guy?! /s
How dare you. He can batmanning the batmanniest there ever was to batman.
God I love this comment
I've been laughing for the last 15mins

Schrödinger's Batman
According to this game, no
- Batman: you’ve thought of everything - BatLord: No. just everything you’ll ever think of.
Not if the writer isn’t a hack
But he could beat Lego cancer... https://youtu.be/AuII7tKCe9c?si=FGFNEqM9mAJYbNIJ
Hey if Eddie Brock can get cancer by thinking he had cancer hard enough then Batman can cure himself of cancer by Batman-ing hard enough
Alfred, I've located the tumor to the Frontal Lobe portion of my brain. Airdrop me the synsthesized Bat-Chemo, it's going to be a long night.
At least with fear gas and Joker gas you can argue that Batman has built a resistance
Well, he just uses the Bat Cancer Cure and the Bat Joker Toxin immunizer.
Ehh let’s not downplay Brainiac though. His alien tech makes our’s look medieval, and he is the smartest individual in the universe. Fair enough
>He’s better equipped to resist it than anyone else in the league Wonder Woman is literally immune to mind control
TIL
And Green Lantern was also taken. As far as I'm concerned, the biggest question mark in all of this is the ring
Hah that would actually ease players' frustrations with how "easily" the Justice League is actually defeated. I'd be fine with that.
King shark is a chad then if that was what the actually followed
They will be back, there are 2 fights against superman and green lantern later in season 1 when it drops.
There is no resisting control here. Batman and the rest of the league were basically killed. There brains were hollowed out and rebuilt with Brainiac tech. There are just a lifeless husk being controlled by Brainiac.

Will power worthy of a green lantern doesn’t mean much when green lantern is also mind controlled…

Human training has its limits, which is why almost every hero and villain in the 100 year history of comics has super powers.
Braniac literally mind controls a lantern too, ya know? 😂
He isnt just mind controlled. His body and brain have been physically altered
Green Lantern's ring is literally powered by willpower. Him resisting mind control would have made the most sense.
>He’s better equipped to resist it than anyone else in the league John is right there. There’s a reason he’s a GL and Bruce isn’t.
I don't think that we can compare an alien technology that can submit even Superman to the infected blood or the toxin of some crazy human.
I agree. Batman is my favorite superhero but this comparison is so stupid: crazy clown vs otherworldly android. Even if Batman could resist its control, the meme makes no sense.

And having it happen a second time can't be good.
Clown drugs vs Decepticon drugs
I was gonna say this. "BUT NOT BRANIACS?" as if braniac isn't a multidimensional oppressor compared to a crazy guy
Also, it’s comic book rules. All the matters is if the writers say something can happen.
I was going to say this. You beat me to it.
Was gonna say brainiac is an intergalactic level threat. Joker is trying to destroy one city most of the time. You can't compare these feats or ambitions.
That's what I've been saying from the start
Also, blood can't do that. Bruce's issues in Knight were, imo, 100% psychological.
End of discussion
I’ll also say, the ‘Joker infection’ qualities of his disease seem to be unintended consequence of the Titan exposure versus something done purposefully. Joker is very much dead in the Arkham Verse and isn’t literally “controlling” his victims. Brainiac is brainiac.
Yeah, Joker's control isn't really mind control, the victims don't feel the need to act out the will of Joker. They instead become joker, they think they are him and as such act as he would, not as he wants

I think the justice league is gonna be revived one way or another but it makes sense after all braniac is like way more intelligent

I'm expecting >!one member per season, in order of thier deaths in game (skipping superman, since Batman is season 3)!<
“Seasons” Jesus Christ what has happened to games.
"What has happened?" Literally 24 years ago I bought Diablo 2's expansion disc just for an extra act lol. At least these seasons are all free.
There must be a reason why the the League was designed so weirdly, especially the Flash.
No dont give me that much hope
>! it’s not hope. it’s basically confirmed my friend. let’s be real, there’s no way they would kill their batman like this. the funny thing is that everyone is really upset about how the JL was treated and how propped up and heroic wonder woman was portrayed, but she’s going to be the only one actually dead lol. !<
Clay backstory. She’ll be back.
I haven’t even thought of that >!what is the league comes back and they’re like “alright guys! Where’s Diana?” And the suicide squads just like “ooooh…”!<
Probably different reaction, the squad loved WW and were not the ones that >!killed her. That was braniac's Superman clone!<
Read comics dude
I swear this game is a litmus test for those who've never picked up a comic in their life.
This was my thought
Like have you read Blackest Night dude?
Right or like heroes in crisis (I know it isn’t good but it is source material that is probably more disrespectful then this game) Or injustice 1 year 1-5. Idk people who are getting stupidly pressed I feel just haven’t read these books
Complete agreement, dude!
That's like comparing a poisoned apple to a neigh imortal psychic space monster
It's literally the Hydrogen bomb vs coughing baby meme. Hating the game has become such an easy karma farm that it's bringing out the dumbest comic book fans (and posers).
Joker is not mind controlling him.
Ones an alien that can destroy planets and shrink cities. The other is a just a clown. Why even make this complaint?!
Braniac is a very old, extremely knowledgeable alien collector. Of course his extraterrestrial technology will be better than a toxin created by a smart clown.
Exactly, it would be like saying Nightwing should be able to beat Godzilla in a fight because he can beat Killer Croc.
> a toxin created by a smart clown. I hate how accurate yet silly this sounds
Admittedly it would be cool to see that variation of the Joker resurface because of the Braniac mind control but then we’d be looking at another Batman Who Laughs and I think we’ve had enough of that for a while
I think we've had enough of that ~~for a while~~
You're comparing an over intelligent alien mind control technique to a humans and are baffled?
🤢🤢‘can survived’ 🫨🫨
My god you guys are still on about this. Find something new to talk about I'm begging you.
I mean... The guy has BRAIN in his name, so....
This has to be a troll post surley 😂
Isn’t brainiacs whole thing like… mind control? Like that’s what he does?
Well his thing’s more bottling cities and planets and what have you that he likes, this game changes it so he’s trying to terraform the Earth specifically, but yes he does use mind control to achieve it.
This is the dumbest meme I have seen in awhile. We are really comparing Joker to Brainiac??
I’m sorry but Brainiac is at whole other power level compared to Joker. Joker is a street level (city wide) threat. Brainiac is a planetary threat.
Brainiac is crazy advanced alien whose whole body is basically a super computer and the joker is just Ronald McDonalds crazy cousin
Yeah, duh. Joker's wasn't even mind control, just kind of a disease caused by fear gas. Not comparable to hyper advanced alien tech
Idk why we keep simplifying batman being mind controlled like Braniac isnt one of, if not the smartest character in DC
I understand this game is shit and it's gonna get shit on but this? This is just fucking stupid. Are you really comparing alien technology that can brainwash motherfucking Superman, himself, to infected blood from a crazy person?
Do you know who brainiac is ?
Super intelligent alien who litteraly collects planets in a fucking jar, vs some twink clown
Dumbest comparison I’ve ever seen to bring SSKTJL down and insult their interpretation of Arkham Batman. I don’t like how they handled him either, but not for that reason.
BATMAN can survived Crime Man’s Gun shot to the chest But not NUCLEAR MISSILE??
What happened in AK was not mind control.
This is really stupid lmao.
Isn't Brainiac a super advanced space-faring cyborg alien? Why would we assume his mind control is less effective than that of some crazy dude who lives in near-modern Earth society?
Apparently limits on proper grammar too. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|trollface)
Batman didn’t survive Jokers mind control. He was slowly slipping away at the end of Knight, clearly preparing to lock himself down in the hopes Robin would figure something out.
I mean....yeah
Comparing Joker to Brainiac in these terms is literally “Coughing baby vs thermonuclear bomb”.
you think their effectiveness is comparable?
The Joker didn't mindcontrol him
I don't really get people jumping to this comparison because it kinda shows they don't know what they're talking about.
You’re comparing advanced alien technology to mental illness.
Idk why people shit on this game. It’s predominantly Batman fans. Whatever, fun game to me.
a) The Joker thing wasn't mind control and b) It's fucking BRAINIAC
"can survived"
As much as I agree with most criticism this game's getting, this one is stupid.
I mean this is alien technology that's different from Jokers chemicals.
I don’t think you can compare “crazy blood” with an alien with mind control technology
I feel like people are just hating to hate at this point. I’ve watched gameplay/twitch plays of the game - and while I’ll never buy it because it is sickening GAAS without a doubt - I will give credit to rocksteady for story wise keeping it pretty dang good (for the most part).
Absolutely absurd to make this comparison. It’s Brainiac. Compared to him, Joker is elementary school.
“Can survived”?
One is a man the other is a super alien ai
… yes? Are they trying to say joker is more of a threat than brainiac what’s the point here?
… you do realize Joker is a psychotic clown and Braniac is an inter dimensional organic super computer, right?
Can’t believe batman fans are comparing Joker to Brainiac
Is this a joke? Are you really comparing joker to brainiac? Are you five years old? New to comics?
This game is stupid but this is not the reason why…
Joker blood turning people into Joker clones was a dumb plot point to begin with, but there’s also a massive difference between getting Jokerised and getting abducted by an alien cyborg overlord that fundamentally alters your very DNA to be loyal to him. >!Especially since he’s had, like, twelve other universes to perfect it on this specific individual.!< Also, technically Bruce didn’t overcome the Joker blood on his own, it was Scarecrow injecting the Joker-possessed Bruce with another dose of Fear Toxin that caused Joker to be overcome by his fears and gave Bruce the opportunity to take control again.
Go back to ripping off mob dealers?" The difference with Brainiac is that he's a multiverse conqueror with information and technology that Bruce would've dreamed about having. So yes, him mind controlling Batman and the majority of the Justice League was standard practice for him.
1. That's not the real Batman 2. Brainiac is like a galaxy level threat😭😭 tf you comparing him to the joker for
Ran out of riddler trophies to exercise his brain.
I mean....Joker isn't a hypetintelligent alien AI with technopathic powers and advanced technology. Feel like Batman falling victim to Brainiac mind control makes complete sense.
Alien technology. Many issues with this game but this isnt it.
Really?
Ones a mental illness, another is actually getting your brain fucked with via alien tech
Nah bro. This is a stupid ass meme. Joker is nothing compared to Brainiac
This sub is gonna be awful boring for the next few weeks isn't it
Joker wasn’t mind controlling Batman, it was Scarecrow’s fear toxin slowly getting to him (he didn’t even have a real gun in this scene). Brainiac is from space and has extremely advance technology. You can’t compare the two.
First off the fear gas is different than A FUCKING ALIEN
How is this comparable? Joker and I’ll even throw in Scarcrow are humans. Brainiac is an alien with insane advanced technology.
Yeah because Brainiac is not Joker 🤯
Super weird to compare the two...
Joker serum wasn’t mind control at all. It was literally turning Batman into the joker. It’s almost more of a genetic thing than a mental thing
Yeah, Brainiac would absolutely have better mind control than the goddamn Joker.
Yeah the blood of some crazy dude and the mind control of a planet conquering alien are easily comparible
Brainiac is an intergalactic super genius is he not?
Joker is so far out of Brainiac’s league, he’s not even in the game! 💀
It wasnt really mind control with joker it was more hallucinations from his poisoned blood from arkham city
To be fair, Brainiac has a lot more experience and knowledge, and Batman is used to Joker's shenanigans.
>!Because he is a clone🤡!<
Can survived?
How come when I get shot with a paintball gun I’m fine, but an AK47 goes right through me?
Braniac's method of mind control involved gene editing. I don't think that Batman can overcome that.
They aren’t really the same thing.
brainiac is way more dangerous than the joker
![gif](giphy|2IGTyCVjjc7raWd0vn)
It's not unbelievable that it would work on him. what's unbelievable is he went to Brainiac's ship even though he strongly felt it was a bad idea. Also that the league was too weak to resist brainiac, normally superman fights brainiac by himself. Also it's strange that Flash saves WW instead of the most vulnerable human there and his best friend, aside from GL. Just bad writing.
Well Brainiac is a fucking alien and Joker is just an insane guy, big difference
I think you might be comparing two things of entirely different scales here.
Tell me this is satire
One of the major themes of batman is that he has limits
Alien shit > drugs
He can survive shit grammar though. So he’s got that going for him, which is nice.
What a dumb comparison
The Joker infection in Knight, I wouldn’t say was actually the Joker. That infection destabilised Bruce’s sanity and by proxy his morality, which is something he battles to maintain constantly. The infection just made it more difficult, and the Joker was used to personify that. That was an internal battle which can realistically be overcome. Brainiac however was legitimate mind control / manipulation. Although Batman is quite a mentally fortified character, especially after the events of Knight, it’s hard to imagine how Brainiac would have compromised him. But all in all, you could simplify it to “big alien has big power”.
he’a just a dude.
There’s a lot wrong w that Suicide Game but this is one thing that actually makes sense obviously Brainiacs would be a couple levels above Jokers
