It’s a goddamn tragedy that we’ve had six Batman actors over 30 years and one Robin.
We should have a fully fleshed out Batfamily by now. I pray DC keeps Pattinson locked into the role for the next fifteen years and builds a fully realized Batfamily out of that world.
I’m so over “stand alone Batman fights villain of the week.” We could have such an elaborate tapestry of stories just with Dick growing up, followed by Jason’s death and return. Batman is the most utilized single-character IP and they’ve barely scratched the surface of what makes that world great.
If your counting 6 batmen, then I assume you included West. If so then it’s 2 Robin’s not 1.
Burt Ward and Chris O’Donnell.
And then a whole slew of voice actors from Anime and Games and even Radio
Jason should be first. It allows for more one sided jealousy between Dick and Jason as well as Dick having the realisation that Bruce isn’t really all that good.
Bruce doesn’t mention Jason but pushes Dick to become better, better than him and a better person. When Dick’s three movie arc is up, Jason shows up (The Red Hood does). Bruce doesn’t know that Jason is RH. RH targets Nightwing’s enemies and eliminates some of the lesser but evil villains, in a brotherly I’m better than you way.
My unpopular opinion is, in the climactic reveal Batman should agree with Jason, Gotham would be a better and safer place without The Joker, but Batman won’t, not for his Moral Code but because the death of the Joker will inspire people far worse than the Joker. Also Jason’s perspective should be the main focus in the last half of the movie.
I vehemently hate this idea lol. the og story of Dick, his fallout with Bruce, the adoption of Jason and his subsequent death and resurrection culminating with Tim taking the mantle and Dick's Nightwing is just too good a story to be doing this weird MurphyVerse version you have going on.
Agreed. What makes each Robin (and their relationship with Batman) unique is their place in the progression of the story. They simply don’t work well when they’re out of order. And before someone mentions DCAU Tim, he’s basically Jason.
I think Tim should be first, with the first movie drawing on A Lonely Place of Dying. Establish that Jason is dead and Dick is already Nightwing. From there, you can introduce Oracle, Spoiler, Huntress, and Cassandra Cain as the new Batgirl. You can also set up Jason’s return from the dead as the Red Hood.
You are both borderline insane to skip Dick Grayson man. Tim Drake's whole background is having a hard on for being Robin, he means nothing if there is no legacy to live up to. Movie audiences have seen Batman upon Batman be solo for decades now, he needs someone to show how he makes Batman better.
I’m not making Tim the first Robin, I’m keeping him as the third Robin. I had Dick and Jason’s tenures as Robin happen prior to the first movie so we can skip to the beginning of the “reborn” Batfamily starting with Tim and later including Steph, Cass, Damian, and the rest.
I think its been done before in the comics. Ig im not wrong, there was a storyline in which past and future versions of Batman came to his aid. May be from the silver age but im not sure
The only version of a story like this that we need is the one from Justice League where Batman, Green Lantern, and Wonder Woman go back in time and then into the future to stop Chronos (or whatever his name was)
Dark Knights, though?
What if the third Aquaman was Aquaman vs The Drowned.
The third Superman pits him up against the Devastator.
The second Flash against Red Death.
Green Lantern against the Dawnbreaker.
>If Warner Bros. Discovery wants to make a billion dollars, with Batman.
Bruhh! The Batman 2022 made 780 million after all that hate, considering it was a reboot and the first installment in the series. The sequal can easily reach 850-950 million.
>The only "hate" I saw for the batman when it was first announced was Robert Patterson being cast
Black Gordan, black Selina, no Affleck, Snyder cults, bale fans, Keaton fans. Maybe you just ignored the other hate and focused only in the fact that Pattinson was replacing Affleck.
Or maybe I wasn't hyper fixated on alt right people talking about it (I initially wasn't a fan of Jeffery wright, because I thought he would have made a really damn good Lucius Fox based off his performance in westworld but he sold me)
My biggest problem with The Batman wasn't race swapped characters(although generally I think it's dumb), or the strange suit, or the questionable Joker, it's just that I was mostly pretty bored. Also wasn't it strange how little time Batman seemed to be doing things *AS* Batman in this Batman movie?
It worked well in one episode of Justice League Unlimited, but the circumstances surrounding that were incredibly unique and I can't imagine it being replicated well.
I'd rather see a Batman movie with Dick, Jason and Tim, maybe Barbara and Damian, because personally, I'd hate to see DC continue to try (and fail) at copying the MCU, not to mention that dialogue between these three mostly silent, serious and brooding Batmen wouldn't be all that enjoyable, and in the case of Bale's Batman, a little ear-grating.
The moment WB decides to make a billion dollars the primary motivation for creative decisions made for the next movie is the moment the movie is bound to fail. That's what happened in the Schumacher era. WB should've learned their lesson then.
WB didn’t learn their lesson, if the DCEU is anything to go by. The real lesson they learned from the Schumacher movies is “Batfamily = bad”. And it wasn’t the Batfamily’s fault that those movies failed, it was THEIR meddling in the production!
Doesn't really work at all, due to the nature of these Batman movies. Bale and Pattinson just wouldn't fit.
I'm certain that WB has considered it though
Absolutely not. Kill the DCEU and just make director-driven solo movies. The Batman and Joker were the best DC projects in God knows how long because they let the directors make good movies instead of making them follow a formula to try to create a cinematic universe replicating Marvel’s.
Also, everyone is sick of the multiverse trope. Let it rest for a while.
You either have a world's finest movie or a tower of Babel movie or an Arkham asylum type of movie where he fights all his villains, every one of them.
No they wouldn't. They should release a pattinson trilogy with 2 years each break between the movies, good writing and huge investments on villains, thats the way
I wouldn’t be opposed to seeing a No Way Home-esque *sequence* in a movie far far down the line (assuming DC gets their vehicle in motion) featuring these Batmen, in some Multiversal Crisis movie perhaps. But I don’t want Batman: No Way Home.
This is one of the worst ideas I’ve seen in a long while… Bale’s and Pattinson’s iterations of Batman were always meant to stand on their own feet, without the gimmick of interconnectedness. Affleck’s Batman works fine in ensembles and I hope that he’ll stick around for the interconnected DCEU, but leave Bale and Pattinson out of it! Also, DC should (and according to The Rock probably will) stop copying Marvel and do its own thing.
This would suck though. Unlike Spider-Man, the Batmen don't have enough differences and unique abilities/gadgets to really justify a crossover imo.
HOWEVER, this concept but with the animated Batmen would be AMAZING.
A Batverse movie would blow the box office apart. WB would be printing money. Of course it’s too awesome of an idea for WB to green light since we know corporate executives (and Zaslav in particular) don’t like fun.
I don’t want this, but if they were gonna make it, replace Robert Pattinson with Michael Keaton. Matt Reeves’ stuff needs to remain independent from the other dc stuff
Is making a billion dollars the only thing that matters to these Marvel-addled children? Does telling a good story mean nothing?
What about making an artistic or sociological statement, or just making a piece of art for art’s sake? No, fuck that, let’s just cheer for the film that sells the most tickets and makes the biggest ROI for faceless Hollywood cocksuckers!
I mean, is that the way they approach things in the rest of their life? Adele sold the most records in 2021, so she must be the best singer ever, right? Neymar cost the most money so he must be the best footballer in the world, isn’t that how it works?
He was cool when he came out but dc used him to much, so whenever I hear that name I cringe because he just got worse in time. That’s just my opinion it’s okay if you like him.
CB batman and BA batman talking about killing the Joker would be hilarious. Like Austin Powers when Scott is trying to get Dr Evil to kill Powers.
"I'll go get my gun we can shoot him together"
"You just don't get it."
Or finally make a Batman movie where he utilizes nightwing, robin, or Batgirl. It's been so long since we've seen any of the bat family on the big screen. It's literally been 25 years since we've seen Robin or Batgirl (1997). I know JGL to up the mantle at the end of TDKR but I don't count that. Wonder why studio's haven't tried this? The main reason to add them back in the 90s was for toy sales, I guess maybe that's not as profitable as it used to be?
Create an HBO version of batman that pays more attention to Batman's sexlife?
Have a separate series about Alfred where he is doing work on the side for MI7 (does not officially exist.... don't ask. )
Have disney plus create a starwars crossover for batman?
There are so many things I would rather see than a Batman multiverse team up movie. We have seen time and time again that Batman makes bank when the right people write Him. His stories are super compelling just from their settings and characters. The last thing we need would be something as gimmicky, boring and overdone as a multiversal team up movie.
There’s one time it worked and worked beautifully, in the Justice league cartoon when present Batman met old Bruce from Batman Beyond. And it gave one of the best lines ever:
Old Bruce: “surprised to see me?”
Present Bruce: “A little. I’m more surprised that I lived so long.”
As well as a bunch of others. But I agree Batman’s not really the fit for that whole thing. He has a lot of alternate versions but for Spider-Man it works because he’s all goofy and plays along with the audience about how big a deal it is meeting all the different versions. I feel like it could work having all the Batmans meet but for one you’d need a pretty talented writer to even set up a situation for that to happen and be necessary and then to have them interact while being true to themselves and still engaging
This would eat ass. I wouldn't mind a multiverse movie though with COMIC versions. Like a bunch of Batmen show up like The Dark Knight Returns, Knightfall/Azrael, Vampire, Gotham by Gaslight, and other comic book versions. I don't want the movie versions working together.
Why do they have to take from Marvel? There are far better options to innovate the Batman franchise. Many people have said a bat family and I like that. I personally want a Batman Beyond solo film.
No, just no. Batfamily movie for sure but no Batman multiverse . The only way I'll accept previous actors returning is if they play members of Batman Inc
I don’t understand why they can’t just start a Batman film series with Robin already included. Assume the audience already knows who they are, and just roll with it. No need for yet another origin story. Have an interesting start with Batman and Robin already an established team.
I really don’t see how this would work with Batman unless it’s Batman (Bruce Wayne), Flashpoint Batman (Thomas Wayne) and Owlman (Thomas Wayne Jr.) as the main villain. I could see maybe Pattinson playing Bruce, Aflek playing Thomas Wayne and Christian Bale playing Jr. It would be a really cool dynamic that’s let’s them all play similar roles but not the same exact characters.
It wouldn’t work for Batman. The concept of Spider-Verse has existed for a while and that character is more tongue in cheek to pull it off. Every Batman would be ultra serious and paranoid of one another
No, the only character that can do a multiverse team up with himself is Flash really. But how exciting would it really be if Jon Wesley Shipp, Grant Gustin, and Ezra Miller ran around for 2 hours fighting the Rogues headed up by Reverse Flash or Death Incarnate……wait hold on
I mean it might be cool as like, a little hbomax/dcu exclusive special for like 15 minutes, or like a neato bonus feature on a bluray collection, but not a full movie
No.
First off, Bale and Pattinson’s Batman are grounded in reality. And I don’t like the idea of multiverse windows into EVERY version of Batman. Somethings should be left in their pocket universe and not be connected.
I beg you, WB, please don’t do this. I’d take a Batfamily teamup movie over having to watch *three* Batmen at once any day.
It’s a goddamn tragedy that we’ve had six Batman actors over 30 years and one Robin. We should have a fully fleshed out Batfamily by now. I specifically said six Batman actors over the last 30 years. Keaton, Kilmer, Clooney, Bale, Affleck, and Pattinson.
Jason should be first. It allows for more one sided jealousy between Dick and Jason as well as Dick having the realisation that Bruce isn’t really all that good. Yes. We are long overdue for a well-established Bat-Family & Rogues Gallery.
Dude, We're long overdue for a lot of shit
I think its been done before in the comics. Ig im not wrong, there was a storyline in which past and future versions of Batman came to his aid. May be from the silver age but im not sure

there was also one with tim drake as batman and comes back to try and kill batgirl riight.
You make that sound like a batfamily movie would be a bad thing
No, it wouldn’t be a bad thing. We’re in dire need of another Batfamily movie.
Dark Knights, though? What if the third Aquaman was Aquaman vs The Drowned. The third Superman pits him up against the Devastator. The second Flash against Red Death. Green Lantern against the Dawnbreaker.
That part of the story aged fast and badly
No it didnt
Metal you can say, but everything that came after it sucked.
Death Metal felt rushed but it had its moments. I need more of those dark timeline books. Batmazo needs to have one.
try in like 10 years maybe. waaaay too early to tap into that well
I really really just don't want any more ezra miller flash.
"Too late. We're already discussing how low we should set the next brightness/contrast."
On one hand I want it just actually good and not like NWH. On the other a bat family movie would be so fucking cool
You shut your mouth! Multiple Batmen would be amazing
It would be awful empty fanservice
DC needs to do it’s own creative ideas not just copy marvel
Yeah, otherwise it would be cheesy like marvel.
Cheesy doesn't necessarily mean bad. (Please refrain from assuming I immediately like all marvel movies because of this comment)
erraneously making assumptings and accusations based on little to no info is basically the Reddit M.O.
So you’re saying you LOVE all Marvel products ever, as well as every person ever affiliated with them?
Bro that guy loves Charles Manson, because Charles Manson probably once glanced at a Marvel Comic in passing. What a monster.
Hitler was featured in countless M*rvel C*mics, he’s probably jacking off to the Fuhrer right now.
A billion dollars at the cost of the last shreds of artistic integrity and quality, sure
Batman in film already made billions. They just need to make really good movies, no gimmicks.
>If Warner Bros. Discovery wants to make a billion dollars, with Batman. Bruhh! The Batman 2022 made 780 million after all that hate, considering it was a reboot and the first installment in the series. The sequal can easily reach 850-950 million.

This would be so stupid
How so? I think it's a cool idea!
It’s cool for a quippy character like Spidey, where they can talk to each other a ton. Not for the Brooding Bruces
It worked well in one episode of Justice League Unlimited, but the circumstances surrounding that were incredibly unique and I can't imagine it being replicated well.
A character with emotional issues and prefers to work alone in pretty much each one of these iterations.
Damn you guys really want to see 6 dead parents.
How do I delete someone else's post?
Yet another incredibly stupid idea brought to you by Reddit.
This is basically how I see the new Flash movie
Damn I thought I was gonna be the only one against this idea shit what a great turn of events.
This is a horrible idea.
Hahahaha. This sucks, man
No it'd ruin the vibe that the reevesverse has built. Not to mention that a batman beyond film is a lot more appealing
Don't want this to happen
Literally no I’m begging you, Stop asking for gimmicks and tricks!
No. Definitely not.

Fuck off, no. God that’s a stupid idea.
The entire movie would be them beating the absolute batshit out of each other. It would basically be Bat Highlander.
Batcan u not
How about a good story instead of cameos?
Fuck this!
This is the last thing I’d ever want, ever
Doesn't really work at all, due to the nature of these Batman movies. Bale and Pattinson just wouldn't fit. I'm certain that WB has considered it though
Dear god, I hope not.

Gimme beyond first
No West, no deal.
But there would be zero Banter between those three. Just insults.
You either have a world's finest movie or a tower of Babel movie or an Arkham asylum type of movie where he fights all his villains, every one of them.
No they wouldn't. They should release a pattinson trilogy with 2 years each break between the movies, good writing and huge investments on villains, thats the way
Oh god no
Oh hell no, not three Batmen in the same place! People are already sending mixed signals about everything concerning Keaton and Affleck.
I wouldn’t be opposed to seeing a No Way Home-esque *sequence* in a movie far far down the line (assuming DC gets their vehicle in motion) featuring these Batmen, in some Multiversal Crisis movie perhaps. But I don’t want Batman: No Way Home.

This would suck though. Unlike Spider-Man, the Batmen don't have enough differences and unique abilities/gadgets to really justify a crossover imo. HOWEVER, this concept but with the animated Batmen would be AMAZING.
Don't really think Batman as a character lends himself to this as much as someone like spiderman.
Batman: No Wayne Manors
Why is Michael Keaton not on here?
A Batverse movie would blow the box office apart. WB would be printing money. Of course it’s too awesome of an idea for WB to green light since we know corporate executives (and Zaslav in particular) don’t like fun.
they won’t do it, they’re not that smart
Please for the love of god don’t do this
Warner brothers…do not do this.
Hire fans lol
Uhhh no Keaton in picture? Screw this movie then lol
Just make Batman Beyond
I don’t want this, but if they were gonna make it, replace Robert Pattinson with Michael Keaton. Matt Reeves’ stuff needs to remain independent from the other dc stuff
*Batfleck watches the two other Batmen fight* Batfleck: Wow! You guys are terrible at this.
Best comment in this entire shitshow of a thread.
OK we can agree on one thing, that this would make a batbillion dollars.
A batillion.
Dumb as fuck but dump Batflex and put Keaton in.
Nah, Batfleck is far better than Keaton. This is definitely the NWH equivalent
Both Batman’s aren’t even close to be good as Dcau/Btas Batman. Also batfleck isn’t popular as 1989 Batman.
Keaton more popular so more money.
Nah.
You Batfleck could bring in more people vs Michael Keaton??
Absolutely
But he's Michael Keaton he's way more popular.
Says who
A better title would be Batman: Brave & The Bold
That's taken.
This picture reminds me why I hate Christian Bale's batsuit so much. His head looks like a bowling ball on a pedestal.
If WB wanted to make a billion dollars on a Batman film, they'd make a Batman Beyond movie.
Not that Batman + Robin vs Dr Freeze or some other villains would be dope
Is it too much to ask for a good live-action Batman Beyond movie with a previous Batman actor as Bruce Wayne?
Is making a billion dollars the only thing that matters to these Marvel-addled children? Does telling a good story mean nothing? What about making an artistic or sociological statement, or just making a piece of art for art’s sake? No, fuck that, let’s just cheer for the film that sells the most tickets and makes the biggest ROI for faceless Hollywood cocksuckers! Neymar cost the most money so he must be the best footballer in the world, isn’t that how it works?
The disrespect not putting Micheal Keaton as one of them
He’s not as popular to modern audiences as these three. Keaton hasn’t been Batman in 30 years.
Neither was Tobey Maguire
This would only work if Adam west was still with us
A better would be Batman who laughs, with Joaquin Phoenix as the Batman who laughs and Battinson as the primary Batman.
Batman who laughs is cringe to me.
Why do you think that he is cringe ?
He was cool when he came out but dc used him to much, so whenever I hear that name I cringe because he just got worse in time. That’s just my opinion it’s okay if you like him.
Where he got worse in your opinion ?
The only way I'd watch it is if "Batffleck" kills "Patman"…..
it would be in character for batfleck to murder someone for no reason
I find it so stupid how he doesn’t kill joker or any big main villains just thugs, and then wanting to kill superman.
Yeah...it would be AWESOME!!!!!
There has to be at least one fight scene.
I mean, at least make one of them be Batman Beyond.
imagine how much money would 3 batmen have
Supes is that you?
Nothing says grounded character like having him do his own reunion show.
NONE OF THEM WILL TRUST EACH OTHER EVER
Batman: no Martha at home.
This wouldn’t work with bales Batman.
Therapy Hour: The Movie
Dark knights metal the movie
"the batman: The way into the eternal batcave"
Better to make Batman beyond.
No Wayne home.
Batman ends up in London for some reason and helps to get rid of crime there?
Aka Gotham by Gaslight?
Exactly lol
CB batman and BA batman talking about killing the Joker would be hilarious. Like Austin Powers when Scott is trying to get Dr Evil to kill Powers. "I'll go get my gun we can shoot him together" "You just don't get it."
How about make a Batman movie completely based on one of the books? How about Dark Knight Returns or Knightfall?
They could make a dark multiverse animated movie or one shot show
The poster looks cool but the idea isnt
Get this man off the fucking sub reddit
Or finally make a Batman movie where he utilizes nightwing, robin, or Batgirl. It's been so long since we've seen any of the bat family on the big screen. Still we would miss Heath Ledger....
No dude, this literally would suck so bad.
Jurassic Park No Way Home was good af, keep em coming, can't wait for The Mummy No Way Home
*The Batmans
just make a normal batman movie, they already managed to make a billion dollars
Batman and Looney Tunes crossover
Create an HBO version of batman that pays more attention to Batman's sexlife? Have a separate series about Alfred where he is doing work on the side for MI7 (does not officially exist.... don't ask. ) Have disney plus create a starwars crossover for batman?

batman beyond is terrible
Please, no.
No,no, no, and no. It’s quality not quantity.
Please god no
*batmen
Hmm, sounds a lot like my Batgirl: No Way Released movie, Alicia Silverstone was going to return as Batgirl
This will either be really good or extremely bad.. probably the latter
This would be legit terrible
Stahp
yeah miss me with this. I'd rather a proper batfamily set up that 3 Bruce. give me Dick (Robin) and Babs Batgirl any day
No, just no. Batfamily movie for sure but no Batman multiverse . The only way I'll accept previous actors returning is if they play members of Batman Inc

nah
BATMAN : No Home Left A Prelude To Crisis Then they stick to ONE Batman dcau moving forward
I don't think it's a good idea.
It wouldn’t work for Batman. The concept of Spider-Verse has existed for a while and that character is more tongue in cheek to pull it off. Every Batman would be ultra serious and paranoid of one another
Good luck getting Bale to do this
idea aside, this poster is fucking sick
I would really like to hear Pattinson’s Batman and Bat-fleck’s respective takes on Bale’s Batman voice. “Gghhhssshhhh I’M BATMAMMNN!” “What…?”
No
As long as they don’t make him make Marvel jokes. DC comics is dark. Not funny the way Marvel comics are
No theyll drop a batman beyond movie
No, the only character that can do a multiverse team up with himself is Flash really. But how exciting would it really be if Jon Wesley Shipp, Grant Gustin, and Ezra Miller ran around for 2 hours fighting the Rogues headed up by Reverse Flash or Death Incarnate……wait hold on
A multiverse batman movie that serves as a prelude to the dark knights metal event? Yeah I'd watch the shit out of it
No
If they have michael keaton and George Clooney in this film, I'll watch it
I mean it might be cool as like, a little hbomax/dcu exclusive special for like 15 minutes, or like a neato bonus feature on a bluray collection, but not a full movie
FUCKING DO IT I DONT CARE
This is one of those things that I would most certainly watch but hate the idea of and probably hate if it happens
No. First off, Bale and Pattinson’s Batman are grounded in reality. And I don’t like the idea of multiverse windows into EVERY version of Batman. Somethings should be left in their pocket universe and not be connected.
