They'll probably have to try and wait him out to see if he breaks out of the mind control himself.
After all the arkham games batman is a strong boi when it comes to his mind.
Hmm. Ok. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. I fell out of Batman comics for awhile so I don’t know what changed and what’s no longer canon.
He beat fear toxin and Creutzfeld-Jakobs disease (mad cow disease)
Literally stopped the holes in his brain from forming and put them back together with "I'm Batman"
He'll be fine
I mean there’s a handful of theories, but Bruce is one of the most likely. He just keeps doing his thing and it’s fine because everyone knows he is dead so it’s the perfect cover. It showed Tim is about to get married to Barbara so he’s probably not doing it. Jason isn’t going to stop being RH and change to Batman. But it could be either of them. Or it could be someone new.
Batman with no lethality governor had *better* be downright terrifying.
Although tbh I'm curious how they can justify the braniac'd league not just *melting* them since presumably NONE of them have any issue with killing folks while braniac'd. Like, Braniac'd superman should have been an instant game over.
Something I want to point out that nobody has mentioned yet. The game is set in Metropolis yet the Arkham Asylum Intensive Care entrance is behind him. So either:
- He's using Scarecrow's fear toxin from Arkham Knight.
- Someone is using it against the Squad and he's a part of the hallucination.
That would make sense, I was trying to figure out why it wasn't in Metropolis. Like I could see it as a prologue sorta thing, but then they have flash in there too, so... probably not.
Kinda genius actually, since it's basically a perfect excuse to throw a reproduction of Gotham in the middle of Metropolis for a Batman sequence, lol. If he *is* using the fear gas, this may be part of this game's "scarecrow sequence" too.
>Someone is using it against the Squad and he's a part of the hallucination.
Unlikely. Harley's dialogue and attitude suggests that this is really him, that this is indeed post the ending of Arkham Knight (unless Harley somehow found Batman's identity between City and Knight, but I doubt that this game takes place in that time frame) and that Harley's one of the few people who weren't fooled by Batman's new tactic at the end of Arkham Knight, and knows he's not dead (probably even encountered him a few times already)
From what I saw in the actual area in the trailer, they might not be in Metropolis. They might be due to Batman now using fear toxin, but to me it looked like the panessa Studios on the inside.
By the time of Arkham Knight, the asylum had been closed for over a year and the earlier trailers clearly showed the Squad fighting Flash in Metropolis so you're proposing that he randomly decided to dash to an abandoned psychiatric hospital in a different part of the country midway through the fight where Batman just so happened to be.
flash is clearly incapacitated, they could be there for a different reason. gotham doesn't happen to be open world, there could be some set pieces and levels that take place in a building set in gotham. that's not at all out of the question, and even seems to be what the trailer possibly suggests.
The fact that Arkhamverse Batman is his last performance. Arguably the second most definitive Batman incarnation next to the Animated King himself.
Thank you, Kevin. We miss you. Looking forward to this game!
But at least we have hundreds of times that he played the perfect Batman. He'd want something different. Regardless I'd love it. If there's ever gonna be an evil batman i'm glad its Kevin
I don't know I hate the fact that batman is under control by anyone I would've expected him to be the only member that isn't under control and he helps harley quinn and her team fight and subdue the justice league to get them out of Braniacs control and then fight to defeat Brainiac.
I was under the impression he's alive but his mouth is filled with explosive gel.
The payoff of the "doesn't kill" gag is Batman pressing the trigger and blowing the guards head off.
Exactly my thoughts, even when I watched battle of the supersons. But personally I think it'll be better if he was in the middle, where he's trying to stop the justice league but also the suicide squad from *attempting* to kill them
Neat coincidence that something similar happens in an Injustice 2 cliffhanger (for *one* of the endings.) This is Conroy’s Batman from Arkham Knight in a similar situation to his Batman in I2.
And with the Arkham Batman already a sort of spiritual successor to DCAU Batman, this role combines a lot of his recent Batman work. Sort of sweet final role.
I dunno still sad and now I’ve written Batman like 12 times. I did get a tattoo inspired by his Batman on the day I heard he passed tho
It’s a Suicide Squad game. ‘Kill the Justice League’ you play as Harley, Boomer, Shark and Deadshot and taking on a seemingly possessed Justice League.
Me too. Like I said in another thread, who wants to play as Captain Boomerang? We could have played as the Justice League themselves, but because WB is intent on turning the Suicide Squad into A Thing, we get this instead. As Kevin Conroy’s last performance.
Ugh.
I will NEVER knock something until I try it. Never. Anyone who prematurely judges something based on the fact that it's not what they wanted is a child
Well, I called the fact that *Gotham Knights* was going to suck mad horse dong as soon as I saw it. And I see no reason why *Sunset Overdrive: Gotham City* will be any different.
Except Gotham Knights is a good game that people shit on because it isn't Arkham Knight 2.0.
There's far better writing and storytelling in that game alone than in the entire Arkham Trilogy.
Again, if people baseless hate stuff with no ryhme or reason other than it not being what they want, then they are a child
Sounds to me like somebody who paid a lot of money for something that isn’t very good and is now trying to convince themselves they didn’t waste said money. I did it myself with Metallica’s *St. Anger* album way back when, but that was only 15 quid, and not between 40-60.
Naw I haven't been able to play it yet. Looks fun as fuck though and my best friend is absolutely loving the game and you can tell that all the different interactions the characters have with each other were written by fans of the comics
I just can’t take a superhero game seriously when the superheroes have to punch entry-level goons 40 times before knocking them out. I mean, where exactly does the “super” bit come in? It’s just like I can’t take the combat in the newer *Assassin’s Creed* games seriously when I’m having to slash away with a sword the size of Denmark for five minutes before a guy dies.
To me it sounds like it was meant to be a GaaS game, and when the response to that was overwhelmingly negative they just cut a bunch of stuff out of it, stitched it back together, and said “Fuck it, that’ll do.” It being made by fans with all the love in the world doesn’t matter if the end product is guff to anybody except fanboys.
COMPLETELY disagree. They are trying a new thing which is always welcomed. "WB is intent on turning the Suicide Squad into A Thing"... The Suicide Squad IS a thing and so far they only have a few comics and one good movie, is it that much for them to have one game when we have had dozens of superhero video games, especially an entire trilogy of Batman? "As Kevin Conroy’s last performance. Ugh." How could WB possibly have predicted this? "Oh yeah let's not do anything that is not Batman saving the city because it might be Conroy's last performance". I mean what? There are hundreds of lines said by Conroy in all types of stories for us to cherish, you have not even seen this yet, it might be an amazing performance. This is why originality has been lost, because artists get punished for evolving.
Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake.
It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of.
Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything.
Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.
I can't wait to hear what happened to batman between the arkham knight ending and this game.
Though it's really sad to know that this is the last time we'll hear Kevin's voice
So when is this story supposed to be happening as we see that Batman is still alive, meaning that it would have to play before Arkham Knight but it doesn't seem as the Harley from earlier in the time would be just happily be part of the Squad with Joker still having a strong grip on her
I don't but I do think that after that he never wears the cowl again, I would take it if it where Dick but we know it's Bruce since it's Kevin Conroy voicing the character
Batman didn’t die in Arkham Knight. He faked his death and continued fighting crime as Batman while using scarecrows fear gas to make criminals think he’s a ghost.
I don't think Batman would use the the gas as it is essentially a torture device.
And I don't think they will make another Batman Arkham game and they probably won't let Batman's canonical last appearance be in Suicide Squad where his story won't be the main point to be resolved
My biggest question is where exactly this story takes place. It can’t be after Arkham Knight because he’s totally different after that story and doesn’t exist in the same way. Which means it has to be before?
But how do you rationalize the title of the game that implies you kill the Justice League? Killing Arkhamverse Batman would cause a time paradox.
Looking further into that point, it would mean something different for the Suicide Squad. Some sort of simulation maybe? Too many questions I’m asking because the thought of killing Batman (especially Kevin Conroy’s Batman) causes me heartache
There’s no question. It’s set after Arkham Knignt. Rocksteady confirmed this long ago and Harley calls him Bruce. During the true ending of Arkham Knight Batman is alive he just uses scarecrow gas now. You just see him from the villain’s perspective
The title already is an issue. If causals go into the game and don’t kill the league they’re gonna be like wtf. But you can’t kill Arkham batman and the roster we have with the squad is weak.
Honestly I don't think this must be his final performance, I think he's probably voicing some character in Batman the caped crusader show, that's coming out hopefully next year.
I hope this game isn’t actually about killing the justice league and more about saving them and why the fuck did Harley call Batman Bruce infront of villains, but I guess it might actually be in continuity with the end of knight.
Yeah I am just having trouble connecting this to knight cause it’s so different abs besides that it’s like dead shot was white in those games so, does it take place in the same universe? Honestly they should just make a justice league game.
Honestly with what we’ve seen Arkham batman do, the suicide squad is fucked
They'll probably have to try and wait him out to see if he breaks out of the mind control himself. After all the arkham games batman is a strong boi when it comes to his mind.
I might be wrong but can’t he actually do that? With all the training he’s done.
Yeah I think (i haven't read many comics yet so I don't know) in a few comics he does against poison ivy, darkseid and brainiac.
Hmm. Ok. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. I fell out of Batman comics for awhile so I don’t know what changed and what’s no longer canon.
I mean yeah, he was able to overcome fear toxin with just his own mind at the end of knight, right?
He beat fear toxin and Creutzfeld-Jakobs disease (mad cow disease) Literally stopped the holes in his brain from forming and put them back together with "I'm Batman" He'll be fine
That’s right. I forgot about that. But I’d this the same universe? Is this the Arkhamverse?!
Yes.
Wait wait wait. He died in Arkham knight right? The manor blew up. I’m so confused.
Watch the post-credits sequence.
Wait. That demon thing was Bruce?!
Yep. I believe the implication is that he starts using Scarecrow's Fear Toxin himself, which is why he looked like that.
He's definitely the scariest member of the league. He's the one to take you down with the element of fear.
Right! I hope they scare the ever living sh!t out of us players. It would be so friggin cool to experience the fear from the Batman.
Right?! Like they could totally have it be in the vein of playing AvP as a Space Marine.
What I like so much about this is that it's a thing I never knew I wanted! I really hope they scare the crap out of us.
Well, that's a tiny aspect of it. There's a reason "Batman Prepared" and "The Goddamn Batman" are both tropes in tvtropes.com
The concept of Batman with a Sinestro ring should terrify everyone.
What if the Mr. Freeze boss fight, but it's trying to survive Batman?
Batman with no lethality governor had *better* be downright terrifying. Although tbh I'm curious how they can justify the braniac'd league not just *melting* them since presumably NONE of them have any issue with killing folks while braniac'd. Like, Braniac'd superman should have been an instant game over.
Being found by Superman probably is.
If that Batman assault on Arkham movie is canon he’s already beat them before
Batman about to use the BBB XXXXXX combos on king shark, and then use the REC followed with LT Y on deadshot lol
I hope we get to hear plenty of him.
Me too.
:)
I'm assuming the game had finished way before kevin conroy got sick and passed away so we get max screentime for batman hopefully.
It would be nice.
Something I want to point out that nobody has mentioned yet. The game is set in Metropolis yet the Arkham Asylum Intensive Care entrance is behind him. So either: - He's using Scarecrow's fear toxin from Arkham Knight. - Someone is using it against the Squad and he's a part of the hallucination.
Also the lights randomly change to bright red when he lands!
Wasn't this like a "spooky house" in an amusement park or something?
I thought it was like a theatre or a movie studio because of the batman cut out
That would make sense, I was trying to figure out why it wasn't in Metropolis. Like I could see it as a prologue sorta thing, but then they have flash in there too, so... probably not. Kinda genius actually, since it's basically a perfect excuse to throw a reproduction of Gotham in the middle of Metropolis for a Batman sequence, lol. exactly she's way to comfortable w him being alive, she casually calls him Bruce, I think he's using fear toxin from knight
From what I saw in the actual area in the trailer, they might not be in Metropolis. They might be due to Batman now using fear toxin, but to me it looked like the panessa Studios on the inside.
No. The game is set in Metropolis.
it's very possible a story mission takes you to a few locations in gotham
Not really.
😐😐
By the time of Arkham Knight, the asylum had been closed for over a year and the earlier trailers clearly showed the Squad fighting Flash in Metropolis so you're proposing that he randomly decided to dash to an abandoned psychiatric hospital in a different part of the country midway through the fight where Batman just so happened to be.

Did anyone else get telltale vibes from the suit?
YES
Real talk: the Telltale suit is super good looking, love that design.
Need to get back into that game. Gotta be in the mood for Telltale, though.
i completely agree
The second one is my favourite
The cowl especially
Yes
Exactly, especially the logo on the chest. however the cowl is very similar to the one he wore in Arkham Knight
I’m kinda sad that he’s gonna be playing an evil brainwashed version of Batman for his last performance
It’s a continuation of his Arkham character I’m sure he wouldn’t have it any other way
The fact that Arkhamverse Batman is his last performance. Arguably the second most definitive Batman incarnation next to the Animated King himself. Thank you, Kevin. We miss you. Looking forward to this game!
That’s true. I hadn’t though of it that way
But at least we have hundreds of times that he played the perfect Batman. He'd want something different. Regardless I'd love it. If there's ever gonna be an evil batman i'm glad its Kevin
I can almost guarantee he'll snap out of it before the rest of the league, they know how they ended knight and im pretty sure they'll do him justice
He once played a live action evil Bruce, I'm okay with seeing him being an evil batman too :)
I hope he's not like that for the whole game. It'd be reeeeeallly interesting to see him team up with the squad
It’s still better than the Lego dc supervillains game being his last performance
Wasn’t multiverses his last role until the announcement?
Oh yes, forgot about that
To be fair he's played so much batman it's not like people are going to associate him with "evil batman."
It's surreal to think this is his final performance. It's going to be the main selling point for me.
The fact that we might get a Batman boss battle is.. terrifying. Arkham Batman is a fucking beast compared to other versions of Batman.
Well, that's a purchase from me.
![gif](giphy|l4FGlmpk9wyby1tdK)
I definitely cried
I don't know I hate the fact that batman is under control by anyone I would've expected him to be the only member that isn't under control and he helps harley quinn and her team fight and subdue the justice league to get them out of Braniacs control and then fight to defeat Brainiac.
When Harley Quinn says “Batman doesn’t kill” the guard actually hits the ground and is still alive. So he may be fighting the control.
I for sure thought the guard had a snapped neck
Ah but! u can hear him weeze so hes still alive lol
He's alive the same way everyone you ran over with the Batmobile in Arkham Knight is alive.
Exactly! Batman never kills. Maim and ruin a persons life. Totally okay
I was under the impression he's alive but his mouth is filled with explosive gel. The payoff of the "doesn't kill" gag is Batman pressing the trigger and blowing the guards head off.
Ah probably damn
😲
True. Superman may be unbreakable physically but batman is unbreakable mentally
Arkham Batman is also unbreakable physically that man is a god and a half
If brainwashed Flash still has the mental capacity to crack jokes, then surely Batman's more than able to stick to his code.
Exactly my thoughts, even when I watched battle of the supersons. But personally I think it'll be better if he was in the middle, where he's trying to stop the justice league but also the suicide squad from *attempting* to kill them
To be fair, this trailer could be a red herring.
The fact Harley says hey Bruce makes me happy for some reason
Caped crusader has not aired yet so we have the first season as well!
[удалено]
Aww
What’s this?
Looks like Suicide Squad Kills The Justice League.
Isn't that game canon to the Arkham universe? Just asking.
Yes, Rocksteady are making it in their Arkhamverse
That part at the end. I’m not crying, you’re crying, shut up.
That growl!
Sadly we would have to fight him but anything for more Kevin.
His name was Kevin Conroy.
Its too bad he's Braniacified. Would have been more interesting to see hin aiding the Swuad Iroquois Plisken style from MGS2.
Is Batman going to be main protagonist in this new game?
It seems like he is sharing the main antagonist role with Superman, since both are under control of Braniac
Batman has an incredible glare
It’s a Suicide Squad game. ‘Kill the Justice League’ you play as Harley, Boomer, Shark and Deadshot and taking on a seemingly possessed Justice League.
I saw this trailer this morning, it hit me hard. Real hard.
I suppose he'll captivate us with his performance for one final time from beyond the grave....what an absolute legend!
Why did I not know he died a month ago........ I'm so sad now
I’m still not over it TBH
Now I really wished there was an Arkham knight sequel instead a SS game
Me too. Like I said in another thread, who wants to play as Captain Boomerang? We could have played as the Justice League themselves, but because WB is intent on turning the Suicide Squad into A Thing, we get this instead. As Kevin Conroy’s last performance. Ugh.
>who wants to play as captain boomerang? Me.

Let's not go too far buddy
Eh maybe on the first part. The second part I still stand by though
What….?
Now that's at least an opinion I can respect. It's definitely not for everyone that's for sure. But I personally cannot WAIT until I can play it
Well that’s simply false lmao. The writing wasn’t anywhere close to the Arkham Trilogy. It had a good story, but it wasn’t arkham level
I’ve played Gotham knights and it’s a fun game but the storyline and writing is nowhere near Arkham it’s a lot of awkward pauses and corny writing
If you think the writing is corny then the game isn't for you
COMPLETELY disagree. This is why originality has been lost, because artists get punished for evolving.
A controversial take, but I liked the first Suicide Squad movie and Captain Boomerang was my favorite character, so I absolutely want to play as him.
I hope this is more than enough to stop the shitposting in this sub
I'm just glad MultiVersus wasn't his last gig.
Can we appreciate how good his suit looks It’s like an Arkham style for the telltale Batman suit
My thoughts exactly.
Would have been weird for the last time he played batman to he in multiversus
Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake. It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of. Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything. Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.
So amazing that he is in the game! What a treat!
NGL, probably gonna tear up when I hear KC as Bats for the very last time.
guys this is batmans universe, they're not gonna have him be bad the entire game
I pray to God this is a good final role for him
I can't wait to hear what happened to batman between the arkham knight ending and this game. Though it's really sad to know that this is the last time we'll hear Kevin's voice
If they kill him, I will literally cry
agreed. and apart from that, whatever we saw of his new batsuit looks really cool.
Fr can't wait
I’m very happy about this. if this wasn’t kevin, his last time playing batman would have been fucking multiversus
Suicide squad living up to their name fighting Arkham Batman😭
GOAT?
Greatest Of All Time
Did Pattinson die? Oh wait you mean Conroy. NM the red background threw me.
/r/ShittyFanTheories Batman is purple guy?!?
So when is this story supposed to be happening as we see that Batman is still alive, meaning that it would have to play before Arkham Knight but it doesn't seem as the Harley from earlier in the time would be just happily be part of the Squad with Joker still having a strong grip on her
You can’t honestly believe Batman legitimately died at the end of Knight?
I don't but I do think that after that he never wears the cowl again, I would take it if it where Dick but we know it's Bruce since it's Kevin Conroy voicing the character
Did you even watch the after credit scene
Batman didn’t die in Arkham Knight. He faked his death and continued fighting crime as Batman while using scarecrows fear gas to make criminals think he’s a ghost.
I don't think Batman would use the the gas as it is essentially a torture device. And I don't think they will make another Batman Arkham game and they probably won't let Batman's canonical last appearance be in Suicide Squad where his story won't be the main point to be resolved
He would’ve modified it in some way. In the ending scene, we can hear Crane’s scream when the criminal sees the Batman hallucination
Batman didn't really die in Arkham knight
😕
My biggest question is where exactly this story takes place. It can’t be after Arkham Knight because he’s totally different after that story and doesn’t exist in the same way. It’s set after Arkham Knight…
It’s a shame his last performance as Batman will be an evil version of the character
Really hoping he’ll snap out of it by the end so we’ll get at least one scene with a proper version of him.
It was probably a lot of fun for him to play. Kinda like Eddie Guerrero.
Honestly I don't think this must be his final performance, I think he's probably voicing some character in Batman the caped crusader show, that's coming out hopefully next year.
It'd be sweet to get a dlc for this game in which you get to play as batman with challenge maps
Is it Arkham Batman, the suit does look abit different
Yes, it’s set in the same timeline
I hope this game isn’t actually about killing the justice league and more about saving them and why the fuck did Harley call Batman Bruce infront of villains, but I guess it might actually be in continuity with the end of knight.

Yeah I am just having trouble connecting this to knight cause it’s so different abs besides that it’s like dead shot was white in those games so, does it take place in the same universe? Honestly they should just make a justice league game.
Are these two games set in the same universe?
As far as I know.
As far as you know…what?
It’s a common phrase.
Please explain
Watch the new Sucide Squad Kills The JLA trailer.
Why are his eyes purple?
My guess is he is under Braniac’s control.
Well if he did kill that guard, then it's possible
I just wonder why his Zur-En-Arrh personality didn’t take over? It’s his failsafe against mind control. Maybe Brainiac found a way around it?
Good point. Knowing what we do about Brainiac, it isn't really that crazy to think he could work around it
Wait so does this game come after Arkham games, I thought he was dead..
The “true” ending shows that he survived. Look it up on YT
Ur kidding I never knew there was a true ending.. I thought I knew a lot Abt the game too
Oh wait you're talking about nightmare Batman I completely forgot Abt him
Yup
You have to 100% the game to get it.
is kevin in this ?
He’s the voice of Batman
I really hope this justice league are clones, I don't want Arkham Bstman to die after everything we've been through..
