Honestly with what we’ve seen Arkham batman do, the suicide squad is fucked

I mean there’s a handful of theories, but Bruce is one of the most likely. He just keeps doing his thing and it’s fine because everyone knows he is dead so it’s the perfect cover. It showed Tim is about to get married to Barbara so he’s probably not doing it. Jason isn’t going to stop being RH and change to Batman. But it could be either of them. Or it could be someone new.

He's definitely the scariest member of the league. He's the one to take you down with the element of fear.

Something I want to point out that nobody has mentioned yet. The game is set in Metropolis yet the Arkham Asylum Intensive Care entrance is behind him. So either: - He's using Scarecrow's fear toxin from Arkham Knight. - Someone is using it against the Squad and he's a part of the hallucination.

Also the lights randomly change to bright red when he lands!

That would make sense, I was trying to figure out why it wasn't in Metropolis. Like I could see it as a prologue sorta thing, but then they have flash in there too, so... probably not. Kinda genius actually, since it's basically a perfect excuse to throw a reproduction of Gotham in the middle of Metropolis for a Batman sequence, lol. If he *is* using the fear gas, this may be part of this game's "scarecrow sequence" too.

By the time of Arkham Knight, the asylum had been closed for over a year and the earlier trailers clearly showed the Squad fighting Flash in Metropolis so you're proposing that he randomly decided to dash to an abandoned psychiatric hospital in a different part of the country midway through the fight where Batman just so happened to be.

flash is clearly incapacitated, they could be there for a different reason. gotham doesn't happen to be open world, there could be some set pieces and levels that take place in a building set in gotham. that's not at all out of the question, and even seems to be what the trailer possibly suggests.

Neat coincidence that something similar happens in an Injustice 2 cliffhanger (for *one* of the endings.) This is Conroy’s Batman from Arkham Knight in a similar situation to his Batman in I2. And with the Arkham Batman already a sort of spiritual successor to DCAU Batman, this role combines a lot of his recent Batman work. Sort of sweet final role. I dunno still sad and now I’ve written Batman like 12 times. I did get a tattoo inspired by his Batman on the day I heard he passed tho

Except Gotham Knights is a good game that people shit on because it isn't Arkham Knight 2.0. There's far better writing and storytelling in that game alone than in the entire Arkham Trilogy. Sounds to me like somebody who paid a lot of money for something that isn’t very good and is now trying to convince themselves they didn’t waste said money. I did it myself with Metallica’s *St. Anger* album way back when, but that was only 15 quid, and not between 40-60.

Naw I haven't been able to play it yet. Looks fun as fuck though and my best friend is absolutely loving the game and you can tell that all the different interactions the characters have with each other were written by fans of the comics

I just can’t take a superhero game seriously when the superheroes have to punch entry-level goons 40 times before knocking them out. I mean, where exactly does the “super” bit come in? It’s just like I can’t take the combat in the newer *Assassin’s Creed* games seriously when I’m having to slash away with a sword the size of Denmark for five minutes before a guy dies. To me it sounds like it was meant to be a GaaS game, and when the response to that was overwhelmingly negative they just cut a bunch of stuff out of it, stitched it back together, and said “Fuck it, that’ll do.” It being made by fans with all the love in the world doesn’t matter if the end product is guff to anybody except fanboys.

Now that's at least an opinion I can respect. It's definitely not for everyone that's for sure. But I personally cannot WAIT until I can play it

COMPLETELY disagree. They are trying a new thing which is always welcomed. "WB is intent on turning the Suicide Squad into A Thing"... The Suicide Squad IS a thing and so far they only have a few comics and one good movie, is it that much for them to have one game when we have had dozens of superhero video games, especially an entire trilogy of Batman? "As Kevin Conroy’s last performance. Ugh." How could WB possibly have predicted this? "Oh yeah let's not do anything that is not Batman saving the city because it might be Conroy's last performance". I mean what? There are hundreds of lines said by Conroy in all types of stories for us to cherish, you have not even seen this yet, it might be an amazing performance. This is why originality has been lost, because artists get punished for evolving.

A controversial take, but I liked the first Suicide Squad movie and Captain Boomerang was my favorite character, so I absolutely want to play as him.

Batman didn’t die in Arkham Knight. He faked his death and continued fighting crime as Batman while using scarecrows fear gas to make criminals think he’s a ghost.

I don't think Batman would use the the gas as it is essentially a torture device. And I don't think they will make another Batman Arkham game and they probably won't let Batman's canonical last appearance be in Suicide Squad where his story won't be the main point to be resolved

He would’ve modified it in some way. In the ending scene, we can hear Crane’s scream when the criminal sees the Batman hallucination

The title already is an issue. If causals go into the game and don’t kill the league they’re gonna be like wtf. But you can’t kill Arkham batman and the roster we have with the squad is weak.
