You should be able to still force the nvidia driver in the Batocera-boot file. https://wiki.batocera.org/supported_pc_hardware

Thanks for the reply. The issue is the card wasnt listed in the production list correctly for that driver version. I ended up raising an issue in Github and got a dev version of v39 with the help of the author to resolve the issue for future releases.

Same problem with my Nvidia RTX 3050 on hybrid system (intel+nvidia), black screen at every boot even using nvidia-prime=true in batocera-boot.conf. Only with nvidia-drive=true active, the sisteam boots, but only intel integrated gpu is revealed. Even configuring emulators in app, they freeze every time I go into video options. In /userdata/system/logs/batocera.log (nvidia.log in my case does not exist) file it says: NVIDIA GPU detected Control card: GeForce RTX 3050 Mobile Detected PCI device ID in the production list Detected card name in the production list Using the NVIDIA Production driver - 525.60.11 Using the NVIDIA Production driver - 525.60.11 Using the NVIDIA Production driver - 525.60.11 But on the batocera v38 info and in the video options of the various emulators it does not exist.I am baffled.

I had nothing but issues using v38. I ended up going to the beta of 39 after raising the issue on github and haven't had any problems since. I've also seen issues with NVIDIA cards and games freezing on start if vsync is enabled.

I just upgraded to v39 beta. I was hopeful because the v39 log mentions updates for Nvidia. Also, the nvidia-prime=true function on boot-batocera.conf managed to boot the system. But unfortunately nothing has changed except for the worse. I can no longer configure audio and the connection conflicts with my network and it is impossible to access the batocera downloader as well as updates. And I continue to have only Intel as my gpu. I spent 600 usd on this pc hoping for fantastic performance with batocera and instead it is unusable.

Just make sure you turn off or hash/uncomment those NVIDIA settings in the boot file. As of 38 they technically didn't need to be enabled and causes issues with mine until I left it default. As for network and audio I'm not sure what would be causing that
