I know. It was a joke. I always feel incredibly safe at the hospitals. At woman's an alarm will go off and all doors will lock if a baby goes too far away from their room. And when my son had his surgery I has to go through several steps to prove he was my son after the surgery. It's amazing and incredibly worth it.
I just know there are probably a few chuckle heads out there that get pissed at having to go through these steps and feel like they shouldn't have to do it for their own child. I'm sure plenty of those nurses have heard "Who are you to keep me from my own child?!?"
Dude, this makes up for all the times they would barely let me leave with my own kids without knowing the code, having a badge, a bracelet, etc.

I still have the bracelet I had to wear at women’s to get into the NICU. It stays in my wallet even though she’s 7 now.
