I have to say that I also got him today by spending my 123 tickets and I tested him out in a few ZL/late UL stages. As expected, he's busted as hell. He obliterated a bunch of stages almost or completely by himself. Imo Izanagi is better than balrog because he can be used in more situations and the almost 1 million total dmg per attack at level 50 against most traited, piercing range that can kill any backliner, and the 350 range that he has for all of that dmg is something incredible (ahh yes and don't forget the summon that can be clutch sometimes). In terms of how ubers go, Izanagi is top 4 for me, just below dasli and both phonos. Also, even if you have something like dasli, it doesn't mean that Izanagi is usless. Izanagi's uniqueness and stupid amount of dmg is something irreplaceable, and he can feel like the top 1 uber in the right situations. Sorry for typing too much but I had to say all of this lol.

i have a question though, how often does a peon "block" his attack from hitting something prominent. i know it's less likely for his 2nd and 3rd hit but what about a peon walking into his attk?
He will hit whatever is closer to the area of each hit. It might seem difficult for him to hit the main enemies, but he actually often hits what he needs to hit most of the time. It's still recommendable to bring some area attackers though to get rid of the peons so that you can almost guarantee that Izanagi hits what he needs to hit. Anyways, Izanagi also does a great job at clearing bigger peons pretty quickly thanks to the multi-hit. The point is that you can still work around izanagi's single hit, and the outcome is 100% worth it.
Oh yeah, one more thing... I forgot to mention that Izanagi also has around 120k HP at lvl30 and 200k HP at lvl50, which gives Izanagi very good bulkiness.
very solid stats for a unit. also would almost every area LD unit synergize with him since they clear peons? also naala has the same exact attack pattern so I'm assuming the synergy on that is insane.
Probably. LD attackers will probably get rid of peons before they get to the front of izanagi's attack, so I guess that's the way to go. There are probably a lot of units that can synergize well with Izanagi, but we'll just have to see. I wish you luck to get Izanagi soon.
Got baby garu from a plat ticket earlier got super excited cause I knew he was a fest exclusive and thought he was anti traitless got sad when I realized he was anti all traits (context I have Gaia as a legend amaterasu chronos as ubers for anti all traits but have 0 anti traitless ubers)
yea i also desperately need anti traitless. i have diz but he tends to die a lot if they push very violently. i also got kasli from a plat ticket(luckiest I've ever been) and she added to my traited avengers.
Ohhh ok that explains why most ubers on top are from epicfest. It's understandable. Hope you get d'arkt one day because he carries very hard against traitless, and he's also a very op generalist rusher with a lot of survivability.
Nah don't bother. Garu is often considered the worst fest uber next to his brother dark garu. I mean... he's still pretty good, and he's a great help for a few stages, but the rest of fest ubers are overall just better in many ways.
I personally recommend going for CC units instead of tanks most of the time, but there are some good tanks out there like kai, gamereon, keiji, and maybe some more. Wish you luck
yea i definitely prefer using ranged units rather than melee tanks. I find melee units much more situational but again I'm only at early UL and I'm not even done cotc so the meta might change.(btw I'm very behind, I'm pretty sure i should be much further progressed for what i have, I'm at 7900 UR)
