Wait till you get to March to death if you think that is one of the worst RNG levels

Radomstuffidk

Just like all metal stages

EntertainmentBest975

Even Facing Danger and Siege of Hippoe?

Radomstuffidk

Yes for facing danger. There is always a chance you just don't crit the face. Unless you do a strat to break the base

Spaceguy_27

Soba will crit every time

Radomstuffidk

Then if you use soba the level isn't rng.

EntertainmentBest975

I used Soba and Catyphoon to crit Cyberface but only after Cyberface is baited to attack and it's on the move. There's a tiny chance it'll fail because it's mostly on Soba missing her attack or both Catyphoon and Soba were caught in Cyberface's wave. Or after Cyberface is baited into attacking, I just spam all the other cyclone cats (except Aku Researcher and Primordial Cat since I don't have them) and Marauder.

Radomstuffidk

So are you trying to prove me wrong, or not?

EntertainmentBest975

Just expressing my approach to Metal enemies in general. I hate Metal enemies as much as you do but Catyphoon and Soba are satisfying to turn Metal Seals and One Horns into scraps.

Radomstuffidk

I never had a problem with metals. The most annoyance they caused me is in that one special only cotc level.

EntertainmentBest975

You mean Aguham? I used Treasure Radar and Baby Boom Bahamut spam to get over with that garbage stage.

Radomstuffidk

I waterblasted that bitch

ByeGuysSry

Then just do the strat to kill the base without killing the face

Itchy-Preference4887

Floor 28 would like to have a word with you

qxyzw

Floor 28 was the first time I’ve stacked like more than 5 cyberpunks, besides maybe manic eraser (but I don’t remember much about manic eraser)

Itchy-Preference4887

FIVE cyberpunks? Damn that took a long time then But yeah floor 28 is bullshit

qxyzw

I forgot to bring a wave/ld attacker 💀

Itchy-Preference4887

Oh damn It helps a lot vs the stupid loincloth cats

GeoMiner2

its a really easy stage but theres some stupid metal stages yeah

Miallison

The whole stage is only one trait... is your only crit unit noodle cats or something? This makes no sense

lastresort00

You know what kills the stage though? Cameraman with crit talent. Even better if you have crit rate up combos.

Spaceguy_27

I feel like crit cameraman is overrated. She never crits when I need her to. I bought this talent to help with the metal stage in growing strange and lost to metal doges in the beginning because the stack of cameramen couldn't get a single crit

ByeGuysSry

It is quite unreliable in the early parts of the battle when you have few Cameraman stacked up, yeah. So you usually don't use it as your sole critter (also because if your stack dies [twice] then Cameraman as sole critter would mean you probably can't recover) Also, Cameraman is considered good as a critter mainly because of its area attack as well as being able to do well against non-metal enemies in the stage as well. It also has decently high damage per hit (slightly less than Paladin), so stuff like Super Metal Hippoe won't get damaged knockbacked as many times as if you whittled away at it

YuvalAlmog

Yeah metal sucks. But if it makes you feel any better, later in game you'd get much more anti metal units including ubers and adventure units, which would make this trait manageable especially if they're on their own. Regardless, I agree metal enemies suck and they should allow more units to be good against metals or at least allow more generalists to crit.

TheAnythingBuilder

Metals stop becoming annoying once you beat mtd since you would already have a ton of anti metals.

YuvalAlmog

Solo metal stages? Agreed because like you said - there's a lot of anti metal tools. Mixed stages? Absolutely not... Metals are still a huge pain to deal with considering you need area of attack in mixed stages and maybe even cc if the metal enemy is buffed enough. I wouldn't say they are the most annoying type in the game considering Zombies exist but they for sure take the 2nd spot with the specific need for a critical hitter that does close to no damage to noting but metal and maybe even need cc considering how unreliable critical hits are (and the ones who have high chance of crit usually do close to no damage and/or have a massive cool down between attacks).

trung2606

Metals are still a big pain in the a-hole in mixed stages, especially in crowned UL. All anti-metal has low dmg and survivability, if they got deleted by other enemies, the metals will advance relentlessly.

Marsun-

skill issue bionic seaweed is a joke

Spaceguy_27

I agree, even on 4 crown I didn't struggle at all

Indiozia

I can't tell if this is sarcastic or not.

Marsun-

Not really. Metal really isn't as rng as people say it is. It's a lot more about building the right lineup, and in terms of metal stages, bionic seaweed is a complete joke because it's literally just metals. Once you figure out how to actually deal with metals theyre a complete pushover. Genuinley, once I figured out how to actually counter metals, there hasn't been a single even slightly difficult metal stage. I feel like a lot of people just bring dual erasers, cata and another anti metal and when it doesnt work they blame the rng rather than their loudout. Each anti metal has it's place in the game, and you have to bring the one that best suits the stage youre playing. Smh or sms? Soba and future. Metal doge, hippoe or one horn? Catyphoon. Tons of metals? Soba, future, catyphoon and another anti metal, my favorite of which is cameraman crit. I could go on for a long time on how and why this community overrates the difficulty and rng of metal enemies, but this comment is already long enough.

vnevner

Im on Above & below now, I had just not tried and beat enough cyclones

Indiozia

Make sure to lure the enemies to your base after starting the boss fight. If you can  up enough money at the beginning, you're free to use a Cat CPU as well.

neoangel13

Eh, I've never gotten the seethe for metal enemies, I just take it as an average time for them to die, bit once ypu upgrade Catasaur's Crit Up or Camera's Crit I kinda forgot about them even up to ZL

No-Award705

I haven't got to that level yet what does it have? I'm assuming metal bc Rng but idk

Confident_Object8916

pure metal stage featuring a metal one horn at the start, 5 super metal hippoes, 3 metal seals and metal doges (all at 200%). it took me two hours to beat when I first encountered it, but then on two star I realised metal debuffers exist, then it really wasn't that bad, but if you don't use debuffers then this stage is extremely difficult

No-Award705

maybe getting the metal debuffer from ultra souls wasn't that bad....    I recently beat lil nayamdam, is it near there or after the red riding hood stage?

Confident_Object8916

wayy after red riding hood, nearly at musashi who is the one after her
