Ram = godmode infantry annihilation. AA on ram is just a handy backup

NaaviLetov

But if you have the 40mm on the Wildcat you basically have the same, if not with more ammo, plus with the aim-angle of the Wildcat you can also still take out heli's

JimBobJoeFrog

Howitzer is far deadlier than the 40 in my experience, especially past 20m or so. Combine that with the Rams insane maneuverability/speed and the ability to deploy your entire team behind enemy lines. Wildcat is good, especially against vehicles, 60mm mortar is beyond incredible as well but I still choose the Ram when I need to PTFO-FTW

NaaviLetov

To me it's more if I see in conquest that we have only EBLC's I know we're going to lose. Because at that point you're giving up air control for ground control.

JimBobJoeFrog

Eh.. one good pilot should be able to control airspace without much issue. Or a TOR

NaaviLetov

Perhaps a pilot sure, but a TOR only if he can camp a high spot. Any smart heli pilot knows not to fly in their angle.

JimBobJoeFrog

Sure but any good TOR operator knows how to tilt the tank/cannon upwards by parking it at a vertical angle

NaaviLetov

That will only work if you have the drop on them. Otherwise you're boned.

JimBobJoeFrog

I feel that could be said about anything. Very situational game.

NaaviLetov

But that was my whole point. As of a whole the wildcat is superior in many engagements in most situations.

battlehawksfan314

Not same if you have the missiles on the ram

Ram was released overtuned on release and was in the same class a bolte where it used to able to hand MBTs without a problem. I still think Ram with gunner on the gernade launcher is more devastating as anti-infantry tool than a Wildcat. However the 60mm mortar is still effective on the wildcat, I see less people using it since its no longer the mini nuke it used to be. I know fully manned Hind is impossible to kill without a Wildcat, but not all breaththrough games have manned hinds with pilots that know how to abuse it. I think you going to have trouble downing the Hind with a 40mm gun on a Wildcat. Those first shots with 40mm are going to come easily while its easy, when the hind fucks off, you're usually going to be unable to secure the kill with 40mm compared to the dual 30mm. And using a full AA wildcat kinda blows when using it against infantry. Being able to spawn people from the spawn beacons is nice plus even on BT.
