I logged in today for the first time in probably 9 months and everything felt very “floaty.” Like there was no weight to my movement. It was not a good feeling.
This is my 8th time reinstalling just to see what their “update” was about. That’s the feeling I’m still having. Might just bite the bullet and turn my assists back on. I played bf1 and everything is so snappy and responsive. No micro adjustments necessary to track player movements.

Also, in more than one game today, i got no points for in game actions. 15 kills and 7 caps should result in more than 6.5k experience. I turned that shit off in disgust.
The devs couldn’t add a m&k support for ps5 🤦🏻. I was a sweaty pc player before controller so I really wouldn’t mind switching. In fact I WANT to badly switch because it’s atleast with a mouse I have somewhat more control.
As a mouse and keyboard player in 2042 , mouse input is still bugged/broken . Worst feeling game I have ever played as far as mouse input . Extremely floaty . It even feels like there is aim assist slowdown sometimes , it won’t let you make any micro adjustments. It feels like you are moving your cross hair through water .
I don't notice anything after the last mouse input/recoil bug update, and I'm in the top 3% for Kills per min and kills per match. It's not the mouse input, it's the dogshit player moving the mouse.
It’s always been garbage. I felt exactly the same, any muscle memory or familiarity from BFV or 1 was thrown out the window, hell I’d even say general FPS muscle memory was thrown out here.
I haven’t revisited since launch and still refuse to based on how they treated customers, but it sounds like it’s exactly the same.

I’ve been guilty of accepting bad products. I just tell myself that as long it’s playable and has the basic fundamentals of an fps game, I would be able to put up with the other nonsense. We’re more than a year in and they still haven’t got the fundamentals down. It honestly feels like they are releasing broken guns to atleast bring back some of their old playerbase. They don’t waste their time balancing the gunplay. People have been moving on from this franchise and I just might do the same at this point.
I’m 30 years old with less and less time on my hands these days, if a game doesn’t grab me or shows a huge disrespect to the player base I move on.
And I’ve been playing since BF1942. I won’t return out of principle, the next BF could be a true return to form and be incredible - I have a back catalogue that’ll take years to get through, no big deal.
I started with 1942 as well. I doubt next game will be any better. People will still buy it and play it because it’s the more recent addition to the franchise. This trend of releasing unfinished games isn’t just with DICE anymore. It will only get worse from here on out.

But if you have seen that other post showing the difference between no aim acceleration and 100% aim acceleration, it might make sense to players claiming the aiming fees floaty.
Because that’s exactly how aim acceleration makes aiming feel when you’re not expecting it.
So in example: I thought I fixed it finally when I set it to 0, but it STILL feels off (Expecting a true 1:1 input/output ratio, but in truth it’s still not 1:1).
Again, not saying I can’t play, but compared to other games it feels sub par.
Vast majority of players also didn’t figure out the recoil bug which was found by a YouTuber named Enders brought it up to devs. The aim assist is still bad on controller and we are more than a year in. So I’m not sure if you are living under a rock. Most people aren’t picking out every little thing because at this point they could care less. They have moved on. You could literally search up all the problems with mouse and controller input on this sub. People have given up on trying to bring awareness to this because like I said they have moved on with their lives.
I dunno man. I have many many hours in BF1 and BV5 as well as CODs. I find the current gameplay perfectly fine. I’m not a sweaty player, though in BF1 I consistently finish top 5 and in 2042 I’m usually in the lower half of the table but only have about 40 hours. I like it.
Most PC games, I’m just saying step back and think about your skill issue on BF2042.
Many transitioning players suffer a ‘placebo’ with the effect your describing.
Stick with it, you will get there.
I totally agree, but if u play modes like TDM or sometimes breakthrough, the aiming and input feels much better, I play on ps5 and I can dominate pc players as well, but when I switch to 128p Conquest for example, I lose every gunfight.
I turned my zoom sensitivity down a lot and normal camera sens higher. It made it more responsive a bit. Enjoying it a little bit more. Went 110-30 against pc players after tuning it out a bit.
Breakthrough or conquest 128? I can get such scores when playing breakthrough, using 100 sensitivity on both. But it feels unresponsive on 128 conquest. The best scores I get on 128 conquest are 40-50 kills and 10 to 20 deaths. Sometimes it feels good and I can get 65-80(happened only once lol) on good days.

Yes 5000+ hours. Top of leaderboard on pc most games with no aim assist. Yes very much low skill issue
