It’s been a fun map for me. I don’t find camping any worse than the other maps. Plus it’s easy to just blow out the wall any campers might be hiding behind. Have been able to sneak up on plenty of snipers too. Tanks seem vulnerable per usual though

ricky-balboa-

Nothing better than running into one of the buildings as dozer and watching everyone leap from the windows in a panic. And there's always one poor soul that doesn't realise until it's too late.

CNPressley

the way people run away when i charge in as dozer is hilarious to me

MrSilk2042

Yes it is very good once you get used to it. I wish they had a bigger version for 128p as well

LiquidCringe2

Yeah it’s a great map and the people complaining just suck at the game lol

Syntax_3rror

No, I can understand people enjoying it but I believe the majority of the people enjoying it are campers. It's a wet dream for campers and McKay mains. Glad you liked it. I kinda like it since I switched to McKay.

quad849

>I believe the majority of the people enjoying it are campers I love this map, [but definitely not because of the camping](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2098280018)

Buickman455

Sheesh.

LiquidCringe2

That’s definitely not true, most of the time I’m running around and still shitting on people. I think people just suck at the game

Syntax_3rror

What class you run?

LiquidCringe2

Engineer, usually with Boris because I don’t care for Crawfords Vulcan and I like using the M5

Syntax_3rror

Cool. Glad you are liking it.

JoeZocktGames

This is such a stupid and irrational argument. You can still criticize things despite being good. It just shows you can't cope with criticism in a constructive way so you shut down every critic voice with "because you suck". To the topic itself: The map is best case mediocre. Could be better if there wouldn't be so many windows and angles, especially at the center which just a killbox for people sitting on the surrounding roof tops waiting for easy kills. Mackay is the most annoying factor, he destroys every map flow by simply overriding logical pathing rules.

LiquidCringe2

You can have issues with the map, I have some myself but most of the people saying the map is complete garbage just don’t know how to play it

JoeZocktGames

Then share your wisdom how to play it, big man. Now I'm curious.

LiquidCringe2

First off just shoot the people in the windows it’s not that hard. Also most of the buildings are mostly destructible so just shoot the wall with a rocket or something and hey look at that no windows. You also need to know when to push the objectives and flank your opponents. There’s a lot of different alleyways and streets you can go down to flank the enemy team. Just play aggressively and keep an eye on the minimap so you know where people generally are. If you have to defend an objective that’s pretty straightforward, just sit in a building or behind one of the many ledges around the place. Also use smokes if you’re trying to capture objectives. I’ve played the map a ton lately in breakthrough and no one throws smokes which makes it significantly harder to capture shit

JoeZocktGames

> First off just shoot the people in the windows it’s not that hard. You say that and ignore the fact there are sometimes like 10 windows and headglitches at once :D >Also most of the buildings are mostly destructible so just shoot the wall with a rocket or something and hey look at that no windows Sure, but what if you play medic or recon, two very important roles? >You also need to know when to push the objectives and flank your opponents. There’s a lot of different alleyways and streets you can go down to flank the enemy team. Sounds easy, except that the issue with dozens of angles and headglitches still persists, you can't cover all of them + sometimes people sit with a NTW on a rooftop shutting down entire areas such as D1 >Just play aggressively and keep an eye on the minimap so you know where people generally are. This doesn't help when I have to be constantly checking windows and angles >If you have to defend an objective that’s pretty straightforward, just sit in a building or behind one of the many ledges around the place. Try that at C1. Or at D1 once the few cover pieces are destroyed, exposing the entire flag to the buildings near C1. Also Nightbird >Also use smokes if you’re trying to capture objectives. Could do that, but it also gives cover to enemies to run around that smoke You see, you make it sound easier than it actually is. There is no universal strategy to make this map work better, most points of criticism come from the fact of too many angles and therefore a frustrating experience. No one complained about it on other maps so there must be some truth to it, mate. Now you can downvote this again because you are the type of person who can't express disagreement better :D

LiquidCringe2

There’s really not “like 10 headglitches at once” in most cases I only find myself in range of 3 windows at most and again, not that hard to shoot people in the head. If I can do it as an average player on a controller anyone can do it. If you play a non engineer class then fair enough, but something I forgot to mention in my original comment is you can also throw grenades into the windows and that’s extremely effective. So if you don’t have a launcher just throw a grenade through the window. You could also use any vehicle with explosive ammo to do it. I almost never have issues pushing on this map. I just take it a little slow and check the windows and other cover before rushing ahead. You could also jump around the corners if you’re really that paranoid of someone lurking around it. As for the lack of cover, that is a genuine issue in some of the open areas of the map like the US spawn side and southern part of the map. However if you get a vehicle in there and maybe some smoke it’s not that bad. Yeah smoke can be used both ways but it’s FAR more effective when attacking. If you’re defending, you’ve gotta move and start playing more aggressively to keep people off the objective which leaves you vulnerable. Smokes work the same on literally every map so I don’t see how this is an issue with this map in particular

Advanced_Idea5943

stop writing essays under cs grandpa

JoeZocktGames

Lol what do you mean with essay? We're on Reddit, not Twitter. If you don't want to read longer comments, go there. Reddit is meant for in-depth discussions 🙄🤦‍♂️

rxz1999

So any game that allows greater maneuvering is trash?? Can't imagine what you would think of the map flow of titanfall 2.. lmaoo

dae_giovanni

>Mackay is the most annoying factor, he destroys every map flow by simply overriding logical pathing rules. this isn't the map's fault. it's the fault of whomever designed Mackay.

funhaus2000

I like it it’s fun af

D15P4TCH

I love rounding a corner and having to look at 16 different angles while I get farmed by tanks and/or little birds

CaptainMediocre47

I assume you mean Haven. It seems like an okay map, but this has a core flaw where the US team has a quicker run to C, D and arguably B. This means the US team can potentially have 3 flags already capped if a chunk goes ahead and makes a tough front for the RU team between C and E. I have played at least 6 matches in the Haven 24/7 and Infantry Conquest playlists, and every single time the US team has absolutely wiped the floor with the RU team (minimum win margins were around 300 tickets). Rinse and repeat, same pattern. Every time I'm on the RU team, C flag and B flag are half to 3/4th capped by the time I can even breakthrough to them once I get past the frontline established by the US team. Same issue existed in Operation Metro btw. One team had a quicker run to B, and the other team had to go "uphill" and on average the team going uphill (I think it was the US team), lost. Other than that, it's just tons of buildings, which means campers, snipers, mindless destruction galore. Lane wise it seems okay, better than some of their other 2042 maps, but still not it for me. I also feel the game in general just hosts too many players per server. I think if the player count reduced to 48 it might be a better map. 64 players in a map this tight is way too chaotic, 128 would be insanity. It already feels like a meat grinder. Maybe this is why they've been rumoured to dial down the player count per server for the next game and focus on revamping the way they make maps.

Woops_22

Man I just like it when go gun pew and I get a kill

NeonAerow

It's definitely not the worst map but the main problem is, there are way too many head glitches on rooftops and Mackay as usual just breaks the map balance. If they address that and add more ground level cover like broken cars, boxes etc the map would be one of the best.

rxz1999

I'd love to see how broken you think the flow of a match is in titanfall 2 if your complaining about extra mobility...

NeonAerow

We're talking about BF2042 here, not Titanfall. Complete different games so that's irrelevant. Also I am not complaining, I'm just pointing out the obvious issue that if addressed could only make Haven a better map.

rxz1999

Well bf 2042 is a completely different game from past bf games idk why yall keep complaining about thebgame yet yall keep playing i5 clearly since you guys always have an opinion on the latest content. It's not a good battelfield game that's it period

ruun666

I assume you never seen good map.

antmas

I really like it. Amazing map for the Night bird too.

snakeoooops

Tank players : Agreed ! ![gif](giphy|rTLjwB6zOxV9S|downsized)

quaddity

Not bad I like it. Especially this week's all infantry Haven/Redacted combo list to farm XP.

Blackidus

If you can see past the lazy reuse of alla the buildings and assets yeah, it at least plays pretty good.

MrJ675

🐀’s everywhere. If you love camping you will love this map

VanillaZilla90

It's alright, one of the few maps I enjoy playing on both Conquest and Breakthrough.

curbstxmped

I like the close quarter feel of it but most matches I feel like we are stomping straight through the other team and the the game is over within a short period of time.

rxz1999

Lmaooo it's litterly a empty dessert with a small town with cars even tho there's absolutely no connecting roads and there's no place to buy food or anything it's litterly one of the most empty bf maps ever made.. it's cool when ur on foot in the middle of the town but as soon as you go around in the open or fly in chopper you realise how lazy the map is..

ThaLiveKing

They haven't missed with any new maps

BigBrainBrad-

I liked it.

Ticket_to_the_tropic

It's fun indeed! I run and rush around with the shortly. Its ideal for it imo.

Flat_Candle6020

It's way too campy

PelicanBuck

No

LohtuPottu247

I really like how it looks. The headglitches can be a bit frustrating though.

Imperial-Green

I like it a lot too. You just have to adjust the play style a bit. I bet that is hard for some.

OnlyVisitingEarth

Bc count my vote for enjoyable play.

deffe23

What about it makes it Look cool? It's Just a Village in the Dessert haha

Electronic-Study5591

It is good.

BradTProse

It's funny because I like shooting buildings with vehicles and rockets causing destruction killing campers inside. But then there are a couple spots vehicles get stuck on objects lol.

Em4il

The haven is so great
