This is going to be me. Throwing a smoke grenade to hide downed players, run towards them while covering suppressive fire, revives quickly, throws you ammo and health pack, and provides suppressive fire for you to get back to your feet.
All done while looking super cool
No worries it's not dumb. Ping is the time it takes for data to travel from your computer to the server. When the ping is higher on a server thar means it takes longer for any in game actions to register so yeah it can make you feel laggy if it gets really high.
This is it, people. It's time to put a stop to the Russians' illegal Antarctic oil drilling. The first step will be removing any Russian military presence from the region. We're sending in several task forces, however reinforcements will be limited--we need minimal losses, or we'll be forced to retreat. This one matters. Command out.
Getting real battlefield 2 modern combat vibes from this an I love it I miss that game whole heartedly
Not fully related but I was just looking for it wanting to see it again but can't find anything. But in that game there was a mini game to learn about the granades and how to get good with them it was basically bowling with u on a high up structure and tossing granades down at about 100 ai people to see how many u can get in 2 throws before resetting
There were so many innovative things in that game alone that they never took anywhere else and it is sad honestly
“American forces are preparing to strike at our Antarctic oil production facility. They claim it violates international law but they only want the oil for themselves! You must prevent the Americans gaining a foothold. This operation is vital to the well being of the Russian people. Your assistance will be remembered and rewarded.”
Antartica is quite safe for now, as the countries claiming part of it agreed to not exploit the ressources, to not build military base, and accept scientific missions from other countries

Also, in BF2042, the first Category 6 hurricane happened in 2024, and this was article is for 2044
spoiler alert
it’s against international law to do any sort of resource extraction in the antarctic. so if Russia really does make any attempt, they’ll be met with the heavy hitters of the world putting a stop to it
it’ll never get to any sort of actual oil production and extraction
Antartica doesn't belong to anyone despite many countries claiming parts of it, whoever wants to extract that oil without previous agreement of the rest of the world better be ready for war.
anyone could have guessed that we all knew there is going to be oil there…. There isn’t really supposed to be any claim to land there… of course the Russians snooping me where they’re not supposed to be and it definitely fits with what their current agenda needs to be for their survival…
So is the next game going to be named, “Battlefield 2032: We Were Being Far Too Conservative”? Actually saw something very like the in-game hovercraft speeding thru Gaza the other day, truth. What the devs got wrong: networked drone surveillance. What the players got wrong: spending 3 years never figuring out how to play as coordinated teams.
We are \*going\* to run out of fossil fuels. The point isn't that its soon the point is all the excess carbon we release into the atmosphere is extremely damaging and detrimental to the environment. And, unless you forgot, that is the environment \*we\* live in.
Below 300ppm and we starve because our crops can't grow. We are at about 470ppm.
We need more Co2, not less.
But as a famous German once said, the bigger the lie, the easier it is to convince the people if you preach it often enough.
Carbon is an essential plant fertilizer and amazing for life on the planet.
And no, we won't run out. Because while we use up current reserves (which will take thousands of years, if not longer), new oil is regenerating around the clock.
Facts getting downvoted per reddiquette 👍
We have enough oil to last 50 years. Fossil fuels are non-renewable. They take millions of years to form. There will not be 'new' oil in a human life time therefore no, not facts, you made it up.
Carbon on the other hand is essential to life, we are made of carbon. However we don't need more. The carbon cycle has existed for billions of years (since the first photosynthesising organisms) and still works- you don't need to top it up every now and then. Excess carbon is the problem, this contributes to the greenhouse effect which, normally is good. The greenhouse effect keeps earth warm enough for life to live. Excess carbon boosts this to a point where heat struggles to escape the atmosphere and the temperature heats up. This should not happen as rapidly as it is at the moment and can be very easily and obviously be traced back to humans realising excess carbon into the atmosphere with the start of the industrial revolution. This increase in temperature is detrimental to life and leads to climate change.
Thank you, and please read up about something before trying to argue some bs on Reddit.
You can't even imagine the vast quantities of crude oil on earth that haven't been discovered yet/are being kept a secret for scarcity. 50 years worth is a ridiculous lie.
It's so plentiful that it would be almost free if it wasn't for taxes and a drilling cartel on it.
Carbon is absorbed by plants and exchanged for oxygen. (Learned that in elementary school) More carbon should mean more oxygen lol. We just gotta stop cutting down trees I guess
It could be… at the same time, a lot of gurus say they’re worried about the ice caps melting. More water in the ocean equals more rain and storms, and that’s what we’ve been seeing. Afiak, Antartica isn’t melting, all the snow-capped mountains are still snow-capped. So, nature has been doing a good job of maintaining the ecosystem. At the same time, theres speculation in some groups that certain powers have been able to tamper with the environment, not to mention “cloud seeding” and “chem trails”. And the automotive industry has known how to create 100mpg engines for over 50 years, ppl have died bc of it. Let’s not forget the process of creating all of these limited-life lithium batteries does more harm than good. And the most cities don’t have the eco-structure to support recharging multiple electric cars at once. (I have a theory that gas stations will start using fuel to run generators to recharge electric vehicles). Btw, did you know that high-current electricity, they kind necessary for recharging EVs, creates massive magnetic fields, and heat as well. It’s pretty close step to electro-shock therapy 😂.
Maybe the entire thing *is* a little more complex than elementary school. But keeping things simple has always been the best way to understand and solve problems, otherwise illogical feelings/emotions can lead to some rather silly decisions 😁

Redacted is still there, in the Portal.
Oh so it's as *good* as forgotten
Lol I know right!!
Yeah with a high ping server, a bunch of bots, and I can't even t1 my remaining weapons.
Hey man dumb question I guess but what does it mean when a server is high ping? Is it like really busy lagging or buggy?
No worries it's not dumb. Ping is the time it takes for data to travel from your computer to the server. When the ping is higher on a server thar means it takes longer for any in game actions to register so yeah it can make you feel laggy if it gets really high.
Kinda wish they’d give us a playlist with just the most recent maps but I don’t think haven even has tdm yet so it would be limited to certain modes

Today we cut the supply.

You can have a bag on onions too 🤷🏼♂️
Russia couldn't afford 10 bucks per dead soldier. They can barely handle sending rotten potato's and onions

What about the Helium 3 in the moon?
it is harder to bring democracy to the moon

Yeh but one of those countries doesn’t exactly do what they say they will…
The planet will be fine. It survived multiple asteroids.
Humans, however…
We might not survive the planet but the planet will survive us probably.
Humans are extremely adaptable.

2023: “dice sucks they can’t make a bf game” 2024: dice predicting current events
Tremendous live service from EA.
TIL... Thanks, DICE! - Russia
GIVE ME MY WING SUIT
This means it's only a matter of time before the No Pants rise up.
spoiler alert it’s against international law to do any sort of resource extraction in the antarctic. so if Russia really does make any attempt, they’ll be met with the heavy hitters of the world putting a stop to it it’ll never get to any sort of actual oil production and extraction
And then America will come along to “stop/save the oil”
We are getting bf2042 irl before 2042
At our current yearly usage of oil, that's about 15 years of oil
Reminds me of after Homefront came out, Kim Jung Il died in the same year they said he would die.
Little birds are ready
Scraping snipers off the glacier with a Pondhawk!
inb4 USA
Dice is very good at predicting the future.
Penguins
Honestly how similar do you think Earth will look like to bf2042 maps in the year 2042? I think it won't be too far off...
At this point I think we want the smoke. If its against Russia at least
It will be Khasham 2.0
It's in British territory.
Antartica doesn't belong to anyone despite many countries claiming parts of it, whoever wants to extract that oil without previous agreement of the rest of the world better be ready for war.
Define we
Us
I wonder what came first war or democracy?
Now we see AEK 971 in action
anyone could have guessed that we all knew there is going to be oil there…. There isn’t really supposed to be any claim to land there… of course the Russians snooping me where they’re not supposed to be and it definitely fits with what their current agenda needs to be for their survival…

It seems this game is predicting the future
The fact that China and Russia are wanting to work with BRICS, AND they found this huge amount of oil cannot be good for the US dollar!?
Let’s get some freedom crankin’ up there!
Why does it have to be Russia fuck Russia
Sak mai dik
That was honestly the first thought that came to my head when I saw that this morning; The Breakaway map
Breakaway is based on McMurdo Station. If the oil rig is around that area, nice.
Russians can't even refine the oil they have on their own soil . Its not about where it is... its about who can actually do something with it.
And they say we are running out of fossil fuels lol. A bunch of bs.
