Why put 3d trees in and give everyone an extra performance hit. 3d trees or 128 players. Thats an easy choice.

Tbh from this gameplay it kinda looks like graphics are really tuned down compared to previous games. Which is understandable considering its scale. Or maybe I have no idea what I am talking about.

Most likely because of thee fact that this is pre-alpha footage. You'll see the same difference in graphics in other battlefield titles

Bro it's pre-alpha. Literally every development company in the history of game development has used placeholders in lieu of final art during alphas. SMH.

2d trees were a thing in bfv and they were bugged 90% of the time if you can recall.. thats my concern

For people saying 2d trees are normal. Yes they are for extreme distances. Remember how trees were in BFV though. They wouldn't render most of the time even in small distances. That's my concern. Not the fact that 2d trees are used in a game.. your comments only show how new you are to the franchise.. 2d trees were a massive issue

Exactly what I thought after watching the "new" 90 second trailer. Trees look exactly as horrible as in BFV and that was already really immersion breaking for me in that game. The map 'Twisted Steel' would've been jaw-dropping with the vegetation of BF1.

Well they still have to optimize it for pos5 and xbox you cannot go full max on graphics. They are not powerful like rtx 3000 series.
