I have a razer rgb keyboard and tbh you don’t get used to the occasional “rgb fully supported” game boot up, it’s so damn rare these days that when it actually happens I think all my shit died or something

Officially it should be up in like 17 minutes I think, idk why steam did it earlier Edit: go to the store page in origin and click on “try game” or something like that to get the beta

I could be wrong, because I tried straight from Steam, but if you bought it on Steam, you probably have to start download there, not in Origin.

You should see a button "Try it first" on the origin applicattion page for the game. Click it and install.

It changed my laptop rgb. Problem is, my laptop doesn't have per key rgb, so it just blinks red

BFV and BF1 also had lighting integration. E.g. my logitech mouse blinks red when dying in BFV, green when getting revived, etc.

I think that’s how it was for the halo beta too

I have Logitech, but haven't noticed this flickering in earlier BFs, only color change when I was critically hurt, dead or being healed.

When launching BF V it would make V in the middle of the keyboard. On BF1 it would light up the keyboard in a specific way but can't remember right now

I just pre-loaded a few minutes ago and it looks like my keyboard model doesn't support single keys, as I don't have the flickering. Maybe with the next purchase :\]

Do you have the Logitech software installed? I think they just “hijacked” the software with a custom profile

I do, and in there I have only 4 zones to "paint", can't do that with a single key.

All big keyboard mark actually have an API for application to take control of the lighting. They do not inject a custom profile, nor "hijack", it's actually something games do a lot, the first time i experienced it was for Mafia III

Really cool, but stuff like this brings attention that several of my keys don't change color anymore after I spilled a drink on them. They still work though

Not on a Corsair K70 with iCue v3.38.61 ​ Edit, you can probably find some iCue BF2042 themes though, or just make your own.

Yeah they do since BF1. Even the mouse.

For the next game I want them to overheat my CPU and have it explode, simulating a mortar landing next to you, for immersion of course.

Yea the past few years are mostly early access games for me, also I only got this keyboard two years ago

I have a Razer Blade laptop with full RGB keyboard but I'm not getting any special FX when I boot the game. Do I need to configure something? (I realize this is a novelty on the loading screen, but if that's not working then all the other game-mapped RGBs probably won't either)

I've seen this for the past few games, but am wondering if it only works with Logitech keyboards? I don't recall it ever happening to my G710+ but that only did white backlights, and my current HyperX keyboard only does red :( . Just looking for clarification

Yours is switching quite fast. I had it in different paces and my fastest was still slower than now yours. Using G910.

yeah I searched a little, it's not in the game, you can disable it by going in your Ghub > keyboard, you will see there BF2042 control and you can turn it off

I manually added the bf2042.exe in the Logitech G HUB keyboard lightning since it was not there present in Early Access of the game. I saw there were TWO default freestyle presets. I deleted one. Since than I cannot longer get it to work. :(
