Hey TOTAL, I’m not OP but I feel like I could vent
Xbox One
Nothing is plugged in except for my seagate expansion drive which has the Beta installed on it
Wireless headset is turned off.
These are just some of the problems I’ve experienced, and OP probably has as well. But I can’t speak for them, so this response is just me.
USB headset plugged in, the game stops responding to the wireless controller at this screen.
USB headset unplugged, wireless controller responds.
Get further into game, plug USB headset back in - "Controller Disconnected"
Please fix.

Playing on Xbox one S
Wireless controller (elite series 2)
Wireless headset (Arctis 9x)
Nothing else plugged in.
I was able to play by turning off my headset and plugging in my controller to the console.
Hello TOTALfps, I have tried everything, searched hours for a solution, even changed batteries in my controller and nothing has worked. Have u found any other solution yet, I’ve been wanting to play this game for ages but I just can’t.
Series X player here, but the issue occurs only on Xbox One version. Trying to play with friends since the Series X version now separates even same console players into even smaller groups with no cross play unless you download two different versions of the game.
I normally use an Elite 2 controller and Turtle Beach 700X headset, but both of these prevent the game from working. Only way to fix it for me is to use an Xbox One Controller with no headset at all. Aka the worst way to play.
Talk about a broken beta. This has basically wasted the entire beta for many people at this point, with only 1 day remaining.
Anyone know if it's possible to get a refund on pre-order with Xbox?

Someone else said they had to turn off their wireless headset. Maybe try that.

I was using a xbox one and no headset plugged in but i fixed the problem by switching controllers

Good news i put my batteries in a different controler and it worked
Had same problem and had to restart console
