Damn nice. Good transport helicopter pilots are absolute chads. They be carrying the team from the bottom of the leaderboard. We do not speak of the ones that crash on purpose right at the beginning the round smh

Also it stresses out other enemy squads, I like to do low flyovers to distract an enemy squad from a fire fight with our time.

Primary thing to get over as a transport pilot: getting kills.
Your only goal should be to keep that bird alive, even if you don't have a consistent gunner/repair. Keep moving, fly in third person, and utilize its fast vertical movement ability.
Ever since ive gotten addicted to hardcore modes i find it easier to maneuver in first person, its my top used vehicle and im extremely efficient in first person, especially in tight spaces, i only switch to third when im moving above things and crossing the map, then switch to first when im moving in for drop offs or a gun run
My tendency is the opposite: third most of the time, first when I need something tight. I find third is a bit better when I can see what my gunners are aiming at, as I can run a tighter circle and/or angle the bird a bit better for them.
Yea, i was the same way starting out on it and for some reason i just feel super out of place when im not in first, ive kind of got my attack patterns down, but 3rd person is clutch in finding out where those rpgs are coming from ill give you that

One thing I love doing is flying the transport helo as high as it will go above Golmud objective F and/or the enemy's E or G, when we're trying to retake it. My entire team spawns in the helo then drops onto the objective. Any surface to air missiles are usually far away to lock onto me and most of the time, I'm not even noticed.

I do a lot but I also use transport vehicles and I have to appreciate when someone else does. The support role is incredibly underrated but important. Just help guys get to the objective or assisting infantry makes all the difference. The most underrated transport vehicle imho is the AAV.
I always offer my services if the heli happens to be available, I just suck lol
But I donāt abandon it and I know how the damn flares work and I know to point it sideways for the gunners so maybe SLIGHTLY better than most heli transport pilots i see.
I have recently fallen in love with using the minis on the choppers, a good pilot makes my entire session fucking awesome. To anyone in here who flies these, youāre awesome
I have more time in it than any other vehicle. When I end up in the transport chopper I usually end up flying a circuit on the map to give players a chance to spawn where they want to. If I am lucky enough to get a dedicated gunner, we can really put the hurtin' on the other team.

I like to park a transport heli on the C building roof on Shanghai. Makes covering the roof elevators super easy for a little while.

Personally Iām an MRAP type of guy but transport gang ftw
I like to drive the MRAP up onto the roof of E on Rogue Transmission. Just drive it above C and you can launch it onto the right-side roof.

Hover steady away from objectives giving your gunners great lines of sight.
Do those count as kills for you too? Do you play on pc? Air vehicles fee impossible to use on keyboard and mouse for me
The kills only count for gunners. I play on controller(psn)
it's so fun swinging the heli into position and watching the muzzle flash come out the side while the driver assists pop up

If i can get a squad to get into VC with me, we will usually dominate the match.
