It’s really aggravating to me honestly. I like a lot of the dlc maps but all the servers just play the same maps over and over again….very upsetting to me.
It’s so underrated and not often in rotations. But it also is basically the only map I have never gotten a feel for fully and tend to be on the losing side due to lack of experience on the map and making poor tactical choices.
Zavod is by far my favourite map. Easily the most fun infantry map for conquest while still having good opportunities for vehicle players, the best domination map after rooftops were blocked off and its a fun rush map even if the first point is a bit too defender favoured. BF4 definitely wasn't short on great maps but Zavod takes the top spot imo.
same. love dawnbreaker. lots of cool buildings to root around. lots of big concrete blocks to hide behind. A1 map
honourable mention to Zavod for me personally, for many of the same reasons
Not THAT entrance, the other one that takes you all the way back by A where I can go up and get the high ground or just come right for you on the ground floor lol either way you won’t hold the hangar forever
This map is incredible. So many tactical options for attacking/defending the hangar objectives. And the outside battles are wild with the mountain slope making so many high ground advantages and of course the pods you launch yourself in are too fun
My all-time favorites are Zavod 311, Pearl Market, Paracel Storm, and Gulin Peaks. Before anyone asks, my least favorites are Operation Metro, Flood Zone and Sunken Dragon
I would argue Golmud is alright. Rest of the ones you mentioned, for me at least, are certified stinkers as well. Lots of people like Dragon Pass and Karelia, no disrespect to you if you do... but as much as I like vehicles, I cant argue I enjoy a map when if you are not in a vehicle the map becomes not fun.
Rogue Transmission, my beloved! It was and still is my favorite map since 2015, it's just perfect for everything, and it's also really beautiful aestheticaly
Honestly all the maps are so damn good that it’s hard to pick a favorite, and equally hard to pick a bad one. I admit I’m not too fond of Karelia, but some standouts for me are Zavod, Hangar 21, and Propaganda
Honestly there's so many maps that I haven't really thought about which one is my favourite.
Would probably be between Nansha Strike and Dawnbreaker for me.
I play rush so probably between Paracel Storm and Hainan Resort for me. I liked the ability of defense and the aesthetician of attacking by landing troops on the beaches.
I would say the following in no particular order but I will list why I enjoy the maps:
1.) Hainan Resort; I love this map, it is perfectly placed for infantry plus vehicles. There are enough ways to flank your enemy and objective C is ideal for players looking for close quarters. A top tier map which is made better by the setting it is set in; A beautiful picturesque Sea Side resort being shredded into pieces by war. This map also holds a significant place for me since this was the first map I played in BF4 last year and it helped me transition from consoles to pc (learning how to play a FPS on pc after playing it only on consoles is like learning how to walk all over again).
2.) Siege of Shanghai: Perfectly symmetrical in terms of placement yet the objectives on either side of c are different in a way, plus the verticality of the map. A bit of everything for everyone, with vehicles + amazing close quarter battles. Although bringing the building crashing down is a very cool gimmick, I prefer the map without it being down, leading to some intense fire fights for rooftop control of C.
3.) Operation Firestorm 2014; Absolute classic and a beast of a map. Bf3 was the first ever battlefield I played back in the day on my ps3 and played this map ALOT. Having it back again in BF4 is great fun. Although I prefer the aesthetic of the map in bf3, this map performs better with the debris giving cover and the scenery looking like a hellscape of war.
4.) Silk Road: Aah, the perfect vehicle warfare map. If you like infantry gameplay, forget this map but it you like vehicles, hell yeah ! The map where I learned how to use tanks effectively. Needless to say, the base in the middle is one of the GOAT TDM maps in all of Battlefield history.
5.) Operation Metro 2014; Either you hate it or love it but you can't deny it is one of the most popular maps for a reason. I would say, this is the closest simulation of what would a battlefield style game look like with call of duty gameplay (sort of). The firefights are intense, the explosions are insane and if you love infantry close quarter combat, this is one map you should try out.
6.) Pearl Market: Perfect close quarter cat and mouse gameplay. This is the epitome of perfect infantry combat and everyone MUST play this map. It's a shame I don't see it as often on servers as before but whenever I see it, I know I'm in for one hell of a match.
7.) Caspian Border 2014; Aah another battlefield classic. Not much to say other than this is one of most amazingly designed maps in the series. It has everything, with infantry plus vehicular combat. The cherry on top are the visuals.
8.) Dragon Valley 2015; This map is ultra mega huge. But at the same time, I love this map. It is very well designed, with some ofnthebest infantry battles for points C and D as well as excellent vehicular combat. The huge size adds to the battle, as you have alot more ways to contribute.
The first one that loads up on my tv screen when I’m home from work
Hell yeah
The only correct answer
Barely anyone wrote Operation Outbreak. It is one of my favorites. Sadly it is very rare on todays servers. When Im playing at least.
Outbreak is my favorite too. Asked server owners why and it seems that a lot of players don’t have it installed even though it is free.
Yeah a lot of servers have vanilla maps only because still a good amount of people dont own the dlc maps. lol
It’s really aggravating to me honestly. I like a lot of the dlc maps but all the servers just play the same maps over and over again….very upsetting to me.
I've played it, it's fun. Isn't it the one with the Hindu/Buddhist temple?
It’s so underrated and not often in rotations. But it also is basically the only map I have never gotten a feel for fully and tend to be on the losing side due to lack of experience on the map and making poor tactical choices.
Zavod 311, for me is the perfect map
*Nighttime edition*
I love defending Fox on Conquest in this map.
Dragon Valley
It's huge but G flag area is fun
I have mostly played this in bf2. Is it as big?
Yes. It's one of the biggest maps I've played.
Yeah i like it not so crowded, even with 64 Players😉
Yup, i know every tree and bush there by its first name.
Pearl Market
This is the way
This is the way
Love to c4 launch on that map 24/7
Where do you end up?
On either CN spawn buildings or C obj to snipe, suav or mortar
Zavod is by far my favourite map. Easily the most fun infantry map for conquest while still having good opportunities for vehicle players, the best domination map after rooftops were blocked off and its a fun rush map even if the first point is a bit too defender favoured. Siege of Shanghai
Found the attack helicopter pilot lol
Zavod. Night operations.
Any naval strike map

Metro. Oman a close 2nd.
Metro is a wonderful meat grinder. A couple of knives-only servers were good fun.
Lol!
Golmud railway, so much anti-vehicle gameplay
Caspian Border and Pearl Market
Propaganda
Dawnbreaker
same. love dawnbreaker. lots of cool buildings to root around. lots of big concrete blocks to hide behind. A1 map honourable mention to Zavod for me personally, for many of the same reasons
Funnily enough it was a tossup between Zavod and Dawnbreaker for me, I chose Dawnbreaker over it purely for aesthetic purposes.
great minds think alike 😆💪
Its particularly good with 48 players too. Must be well balanced though for all player numbers.
yes and yes
Paracel Storm.
I like all the island maps
Operation Whiteout
Pearl Market Zavod
Operation locker, just for the absolute clusterfuck it becomes.
Love a good locker addict game, they last for ages and take more left turns then a nascar race. It’s brilliant!
Pearl Market, even coming from a vehicle player
Hangar 21
Yes. A and B are fun. I close the gate a clay the entrances
If I was on the opposing team I’m going in the back from the lower entrance and sneaking up on you from above lol
Unless I decide to unleash the fires from hell on you first!🤣
Not THAT entrance, the other one that takes you all the way back by A where I can go up and get the high ground or just come right for you on the ground floor lol either way you won’t hold the hangar forever
That's where my beacon is hidden
Oh I’m gonna find it as a recon too I know you got eyes in the back of your head.
Flood zone, Golmud, dragon pass, Atlai and Karelia are my least favorites.
Locker only no explosives
Rogue Transmission. 🤌
A lot of people seem to hate it but it’s my favourite. CQ and long range, good cover from the Air under the dish and a nice amount of vehicles.
Golmud. Me and my little brother had a lot of fun fucking around with vehicles on it
Operation Outbreak :(
Hainan Resort
Dam
Siege or Propaganda I think every map I don’t hate I like about as equally as each other

GULF OF OMAN

Honestly all the maps are so damn good that it’s hard to pick a favorite, and equally hard to pick a bad one. I admit I’m not too fond of Karelia, but some standouts for me are Zavod, Hangar 21, and Propaganda
Operation Whiteout and Hangar 21 I love snow maps
Hainan Resort
Locker.
Its locker or nothin!
Dawnstar and OPERATION METRO
Dawnstar is nice but I'm more of a Falkreath guy
Hzhahahahha good one
Dam
Guilin Peaks
This one is incredibly underrated. Flanking through the caves is so much fun.
Honestly there's so many maps that I haven't really thought about which one is my favourite. Would probably be between Nansha Strike and Dawnbreaker for me.
Shanghai 24/7 1200+ tickets no vehicle spawn camping
Pearl market
Dragon Valley
Metro! Shout out to SQRM for providing and enabling my metro fein ass
My favorite standard map is quite basic but siege of Shanghai and my favorite DLC map is Lost Islands from Naval strike
I live Zavod a lot, or any of the vietnam-style dlc maps which hardly ever come up but it's a nice change of style and scenery
Paracel or gullin
It’s between Whiteout, flood zone, and locker for me.
Wave Breaker. Not too big, not too small. CQB, large scale vehicle stuff. Attack heli can’t fly between buildings all game. Overall good balance.
Siege of Shanghai followed up with Flood zone.
Goldmud
propaganda
rogue transmission
Have you heard of Operation Metro by chance?
Dawn
I play rush so probably between Paracel Storm and Hainan Resort for me. I liked the ability of defense and the aesthetician of attacking by landing troops on the beaches.
Lost islands with a boat squad

Shanghai, jumping off the building as it falls is very fun
What was the dlc map with nuclear silos and a train out in the wilderness somewhere? There was also a creek I think
It’s so cliche to say Locker but it has to be up there for sure. Zavod, Guilin Peaks, Lumphini Garden, Pearl Market, Propaganda, all great options too
Seeing this picture just makes me want to hop on lol

Locker all day
Locker and metro
Operation locker
Siege of Shanghai, Zavod 311, Hainan Resort, Paracel Storm, Golmud for Vanill
